AMD Radeon R9 M275是一款基于GCN(Graphics Core Next)架构支持DirectX 11的28纳米显卡。主要为大型笔记本设计的这款显卡,在2014年属于中高端市场范围。相比较老的Radeon HD 8870M,R9 M275提供了更高的920MHz主频,而显存频率仍为1125MHz(GDDR5,有效频率4500MHz)。不过,一些笔记本生产商选择了较慢的显存(经常为1000MHz、有效频率4000MHz)。


Radeon R9 M275的设计源自于Cape Verde芯片的设计,它用于如桌面式的Radeon HD 7770显卡,包含640个1D着色器核心和40个纹理单元。不过,相比HD 7770的1000MHz主频,8870M的频率仅为925MHz。


因此,R9 M275的性能相比HD 7770桌面显卡较低,与GeForce GTX 760M相当。大部分2014年的游戏可以在高设定和高分辨率下流畅运行,一些较老的游戏也可以开启AA/AF运行。在一些要求特别高的游戏如战地4中,为了获得流畅的帧率则必须选择中设定和1366x768的分辨率。


它的640个着色器核心支持OpenCL 1.2协议,可用于通用运算(作为10个运算单元)。

R9系列显卡包括一个新增的UVD3视频解码器,提供对MPEG-4 AVC/H.264, VC-1, MPEG-2, Flash, Multi-View编码(MVC)和MPEG-4 part 2(DivX, xVid)高清视频的显卡硬解码。

Radeon R9也提供了在集成显卡和独立显卡间自动切换的支持。替代前代Dynamic Switchable Graphics的名为Enduro的新技术和Nvidia的Optimus技术很相似。另外,当Enduro功能禁用时,M275可以最多通过Eyefinity技术连接6个外部显示器。


其他的功能还包括了在显示器关闭时自动节能的ZeroCore技术,和在未使用时关闭显卡部分区域的Power Grating技术。PowerTune技术允许显卡在热设计功率允许的范围内自动超频或降频以适应使用需求。例如,当运行FurMark和OCCT时,显卡可能会自动降频,但当运行一些大型游戏时,则会自动超频。


集成的高清音频处理器可以通过HDMI或DisplayPort接口传输TrueHD或DTS Master Audio高清音频信号(例如当播放蓝光视频时)。另外,新增的对DDMA(Discrete Digital Multipoint Audio)技术的支持使得同时输出音频信号到多个设备成为了可能。


R9 M275的功耗约为60W。因此,这款显卡只适合于大尺寸笔记本或桌面式笔记本电脑。
