AMD Radeon R9 M290X Crossfire(常称为CF或CrossFireX),是用于大型笔记本电脑的两块高端显卡的组合设置模式。通常,每块R9 M290X交替渲染间隔的帧。因此,它可能在较低帧数下(30fps)有“微卡帧”的情况。这个现象源自两个相邻帧间的时间间隔出现误差(例如在帧序列间出现的不规则延迟)。相比Radeon HD 8970M CF,R9 M290X CF提供了相同数量的着色器和同样的时钟频率。 R9 M290X显卡是基于桌面型的HD 7870 Pitcairn芯片架构,包含1280个1D着色器,和80个纹理单元。GCN(graphics core next,次代图形核心)架构提供了对DirectX 11.2(仅Tier 1)和OpenGL 4.3的支持。关于显卡特性的更多信息请参见我们的独立R9 M290X显卡页面。 性能 两块设置在CF模式下的R9 M290X图形芯片的性能仅仅略低于Nvidia GeForce GTX 780M SLI的性能,但无法与GTX 880M SLI的性能相抗衡。不过,最新的高配置需求的像是《战地4》或《地铁:最后的曙光》仍然可以在最高分辨率、最高细节设置和抗锯齿开启模式下运行。 特性 M290X的特性包括一个新增的UVD3视频解码器,提供对MPEG-4 AVC/H.264, VC-1, MPEG-2, Flash, Multi-View编码(MVC)和MPEG-4 part 2(DivX, xVid)高清视频的显卡硬解码。 M290系列也提供了对在集成显卡和独立显卡间自动切换的支持。替代前代Dynamic Switchable Graphics的新Enduro技术和Nvidia的Optimus技术很相似。另外,当Enduro功能禁用时,每块M290X可以最多通过Eyefinity技术连接6个外部显示器。 其他的功能还包括了在显示器关闭时自动节能的ZeroCore技术。但根据AMD提供的信息,它并不支持Power Grating技术。PowerTune技术允许显卡在热设计功率允许的范围内自动超频或降频以适应使用需求。例如,当运行FurMark和OCCT时,先卡可能会自动降频,但当运行大型游戏例如失落的星球,孤岛危机,或者生化危机时,则会自动超频。 集成的高清音频处理器可以通过HDMI或DisplayPort接口传输TrueHD或DTS Master Audio高清音频信号(例如当播放蓝光视频时)。另外,新增的对DDMA(Discrete Digital Multipoint Audio)技术的支持使得同时输出音频信号到多个设备成为了可能。 功耗 CF设置下的显卡功耗非常高(2x 100W)因此只适合大型的桌面型笔记本电脑。
