英特尔酷睿 i9-12900 是一款基于 Alder Lake 架构的高端台式机 CPU。它于 2021 年 11 月首次发布,提供 8 个性能内核和 8 个效率内核。性能核心(P-cores)支持超线程技术,可同时处理 24 个线程。性能内核的频率最高可达 5.1 GHz,效率内核的频率最高可达 3.8 GHz。所有内核均可使用 30 MB 智能高速缓存。集成内存控制器支持高达 128 GB 的 DDR5,速度为 4800 MT/s(双通道)。

线程指令(硬件)可支持操作系统决定在性能或效率内核上使用哪个线程,以获得最佳性能。

对于人工智能任务,CPU 还集成了 GNA 3.0 和 DL Boost(很可能只使用 AVX2)。第 8 版的 Quick Sync 与 Rocket Lake CPU 相同,支持 MPEG-2、AVC、VC-1 解码、JPEG、VP8 解码、VP9、HEVC 和 AV1 硬件解码。

集成显卡基于 Xe 架构,名为 IntelUHD Graphics 770。它的主频在 300 至 1.55 GHz 之间。

CPU 额定基本功率为 65 瓦,最大 Turbo 功率为 202 瓦。它采用英特尔公司的 10 纳米(称为英特尔 7)工艺制造。
