Apple M2 Max 是Apple 推出的一款片上系统(SoC),用于 2023 年初的 MacBook Pro 14 和 16 英寸机型。该芯片提供全部 12 个 CPU 内核,分为 8 个性能内核(P-cores)和 4 个能效内核(E-cores)。E 核心的主频最高可达 3.4 GHz,P 核心的主频最高可达 3.7 GHz(多线程工作负载下大多为 3.3 GHz,单线程工作负载下为 3.4 GHz)。

大核(代号 Avalanche)提供 192 KB 指令缓存、128 KB 数据缓存和 36 MB 共享二级缓存(M1 Pro 为 24 MB)。四个高效内核(代号 Blizzard)则小得多,仅提供 128 KB 指令缓存、64 KB 数据缓存和 4 MB 共享缓存。CPU 和 GPU 可同时使用 49 MB SLC(系统级缓存)。

芯片旁边的统一内存(32、64 或 96 GB LPDDR5-6400)由 512 位内存控制器(400 GB/秒带宽)连接,可供 GPU 和 CPU 使用。

CPU 性能应与 M2 Pro因为只有更高的内存带宽和更大的 L3 高速缓存才能在某些工作负载中发挥作用。

M1 Max 的集成显卡可提供 30 核 GPU全部 38 个内核的 GPU.

此外,该 SoC 还集成了 16 核快速神经引擎(比 M1 Max 更快)、安全飞地(例如用于加密)、统一内存架构、Thunderbolt 4 控制器、ISP 以及媒体解码器和编码器(包括 ProRes)。

M2 Max 采用台积电 5 纳米制造工艺(第二代),集成了 400 亿个晶体管。根据 powermetrics 数据,CPU 部分的功耗高达 36 瓦。当 CPU 和 GPU 内核满载时,芯片的功耗高达 89 瓦,而 CPU 部分的功耗限制在 25 瓦。
