“西线”战场前沿。 苹果在去年秋天推出了他们重新设计的15寸MacBook Pro Retina笔记本电脑。尽管这一代的最低售价降低了一些,但2000欧元(约2722美元)售价让我们仍然期待它能够提供顶尖的质量和性能表现。

Last week we reviewed the 13-inch MacBook Pro, and now we're looking at the 15-inch. This year's MacBook Pro 15" is one of the best laptops we've reviewed for this form factor. Anyone who loves quality images will love this computer. Our only qualm with it is the limited number of ports. Everything else is great... if not perfect.

Apple has taken one of the best 15-inch laptops on the market and improved upon it by making a number of internal changes while keeping the excellent external design the same. The new Haswell based processor doesn't give it a huge boost in performance but gives it even more running time such that people can get a full performance laptop that runs as long as an ultrabook.

Is the 15-inch MacBook Pro a powerful yet surprisingly portable laptop? Yes. Does it last much longer than any other laptop in its class? Yes. But does that mean you should buy one? In the right circumstances, yes, but it’s not a simple argument. We love the design, the battery life and the screen… what’s not to love about the screen? But then the graphics performance is mediocre for the money you’re spending, and that’s with the Intel Iris Pro graphics and dedicated graphics working together -- cheaper version just have the Intel variety. This doesn’t make it a great desktop replacement if you want to play games, but that isn’t such a big deal if you’re more interested in doing video and graphics work using GPU acceleration and need the portability.

The 15-inch MacBook Pro is very expensive and, of course, significantly larger and heavier than its 13-inch counterpart, so business travellers who value portability above all else will prefer the slimline MacBook Air or a Windows Ultrabook. The laptop’s poor upgrade and service options are also short-sighted limitations.

In the case of the 15-inch MacBook Pro Retina it's clearly business as usual for Apple, yes the reductions in size are impressive, but when you take into account the fact that pricing for 15-inch model starts at £1,699 this is clearly a product that will be either a treat for some, or a necessary expense for others. The 13-inch model, however, is where things begin to get really interesting. In the past, the original 13-inch MacBook Pro Retina would have cost you £1,449 for the 128GB model, and in return you paid for something that was cutting edge.

Apple's MacBook Pro laptop range combines high performance with long-lasting battery life, and the latest model continues this trend. This is one of the best large-screen laptops on the market. Battery life, responsiveness, display quality and versatility are unmatched. However, the high-price and limited serviceability prevent this from getting a wholehearted recommendation.

Much improved battery life and fast internal storage are both welcome improvements to this latest iteration of the 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro. The $1999 2.0GHz MacBook Pro’s lack of discrete graphics took a toll on its Cinebench and 3D game performance, but it’s a much faster system than the high-end 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro. The $2599 2.3GHz Retina MacBook Pro was faster in just about every way than the system it replaces and would be a great fit for owners of older Mac portables looking for a high-performance laptop.

It's fair to say that the new MacBook Pro offers little in the way of surprises. The 15-inch model is the same size and weight as the 2012 model, with the same chassis and port selection—except for the step up to Thunderbolt 2. The PCIe-based flash storage trims a noticeable few seconds off boot time and should produce quicker app launches as well.

Mac users have never had it so good. The MacBook Air’s Haswell update earlier this year gave the ultraportable the longevity it deserved, with twelve hours of runtime enough to satisfy even the most demanding road-warrior. At the time, only the thought of what Haswell could do for the MacBook Pro gave us pause for flexing our credit cards.

The Apple MacBook Pro 15-inch (2013) earns its title as one of the best high-end desktop replacement laptops you can buy. It has the power of a desktop Mac, and the battery life to carry you through a full workday and beyond. The screen resolution is higher than most all-in-one desktop PCs and desktop replacement laptops. The MacBook Pro 15-inch compares well to laptops ranging in price from $1,400 to high powered systems that run over $2,700. Systems like the Toshiba Kirabook and the Razer Blade (2013) come in at about the same $2,000 price point ad the MacBook Pro 15-inch.

Apple's 15-inch MacBook Pro, recently updated to current-generation Intel CPUs, retains its position as a favorite premium laptop for power-users. The slimmer body and higher-res screen of the original Retina MacBook Pro was a revolutionary leap. This revamp adds modest internal upgrades for modest improvements, but price cuts to both the 13-inch and 15-inch models sweeten the deal.

If you're in the market for a laptop with a gorgeous display, the 15-inch MacBook Pro should be at the top of your list. Images look crisp and vivid, thanks to the Retina Display. And you don't sacrifice performance for beauty; the MacBook Pro more than measures up to -- and in many cases, exceeds -- the performance of comparable notebooks. We also appreciate the robust speakers and long battery life.

Essentially, the new 15-inch Apple MacBook Pro is a very incremental upgrade to the model released late last year, and if you already have the 2013 model, there's no need to make the move. The Apple MacBook Pro 13-Inch, Retina Display (2014)$1,234.99 at Amazon is still our recommendation if you're willing to trade screen size for portability. That said, if you're a Mac power user upgrading from a pre-Retina-Display MacBook Pro (or MacBook Air), this laptop is certainly worth it. It's worthy of our highest recommendation and Editors' Choice badge for best high-end desktop-replacement laptop.

The price drop is a welcomed addition to the mid-2014 Retina MacBook Pro models, especially with the high end model where the price is now reduced by £200. The MacBook Pro is still quite pricey and may be cost prohibitive for some Apple fans. If flash storage, better performance, and portability is important to you, the additional cost may be well worth it. Overall, if you can afford the Retina MacBook Pro 15-inch model, then I would recommend it. You will not be disappointed!

In 2013, when Apple reduced the price of the MacBook Pro with Retina display range, we stopped recommending the 13-inch MacBook Air on the basis that there was only £150 difference in price. As Apple has continued to drop prices we are still looking at just a £150 difference between the two ranges at the entry level. It's great to see Apple reducing prices across its MacBook ranges, but the lower prices of the MacBook Pro Retina range do have the effect of making the MacBook Air look less attractive in comparison. However, we still love the MacBook Air, which is lighter and thinner, although a fraction bigger than the MacBook Pro with Retina display. If it's the MacBook Air that you have your heart set on, you can't go wrong with it, but if you have a little more in your budget, then consider the MacBook Pro with Retina display because it's a really good deal in comparison.

While the Apple MacBook Pro 15 with Retina display is still a very expensive laptop, the 2014 refresh boosts up the still very excellent system. Users that want high performance and long running times are not going to find any system with the same attributes from Windows based systems.

Apple has quietly upgraded almost the entire Mac lineup so far in 2014, minus the still-new Mac Pro desktop and the often-overlooked Mac Mini. Still, these upgrades are minor at best, and in most cases, not nearly as important as the price cuts some models (but not this one) have received at the same time.

The price drops are welcome, especially at the top of the range where the 15in MacBook Pro with Retina display is now £200 cheaper. It's still pretty pricy at £1,999, though. Even the £1,599 price of the other 15-inch model, previously £1,699, will be prohibitive for some. Given that you can buy an iMac with superior specs for less, and there is no longer the issue with super-glossy screens, you really are paying a lot for portability and Flash storage - but that may be worth the extra expense to you. There's also the high-res Retina display to consider, but you may just prefer a bigger screen.

Although the MacBook Pro Touch Bar is an incredible innovation that could definitely increase a laptop quality to a whole new level, there are still many details that needed to be fixed in order to make this happen and start another tech revolution. For now, Apple just needs a decent response from customers so it could have time to solve every single flaw, because unless you are a video or audio editor, this feature might be just a futuristic luxury instead of a groundbreaking invention.

The 15-inch MacBook Pro is clearly more powerful than the 13-inch MacBook Pro. If you are a creative professional that relies heavily on apps that can take advantage of GPU acceleration or the processing power of a quad-core processor, then the 15-inch MacBook Pro makes perfect sense. For everyone else, the 13-inch MacBook Pro offers plenty of grunt, and there’s little point in splashing the cash.

The new 15" MacBook Pro is exceptional. It has enough processing power to stay well ahead of the competition, and it boasts first-class manufacturing, picture quality and battery life. It's a good machine for anyone with tall expectations—and a tall budget.

The 15-inch MacBook Pro is a powerful, but still portable, laptop that feels more at home on a desk (perhaps tethered to external hard drives and docking stations) than in your travel bag. But it's also slim and light enough to make an occasional trip without being a burden, which is why Apple feels free to charge such a premium for it above both other high-end 15-inch laptops and the rest of the MacBook line.

The 2015 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display ($1,999 starting, $2,499 as reviewed) maintains the gorgeous screen and slim design of its predecessors, while gaining some handy new upgrades. The notebook's optional new AMD Radeon R9 M370X GPU and improved flash storage offer fantastic performance, and its added Force Touch trackpad allows for a host of useful new click functions.

It’s hard to go past the excellence on offer from the MacBook Pro, and just like we’ve seen from previous metal-bodied masterpieces, this is Apple building a machine to its utmost perfection. Really, that’s what is being provided here: pint-sized computer perfection, with a perfect metal body, a perfect balance of hardware, a perfect keyboard and mouse, and a perfect and brilliant screen.

With so little changing in this year’s model, the 15-inch MacBook Pro With Retina Display is starting to look a little dated and overpriced. That might be partly due to Intel’s tardy delivery of next-gen Broadwell chips, but last year’s MacBook Pro updates managed to provide a small speedbump along with a £100 price cut to sweeten the pill.

For many tasks there will be little difference in performance if you have to choose between the two versions of MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid-2014). Both have the same 16 GB memory complement now, and while processor benchmark tests favoured the faster clocked model, the differences are only a few percent in point scores. A welcome surprise is just how good the Iris Pro graphics chipset can prove to be when playing action games, with this integrated version even playing slightly faster in some titles.
