Reviews for the Apple Macbook Air 2019
2019 MacBook Air只是一个小更新。苹果最小的笔记本电脑现在支持True Tone屏幕,可以自动根据环境调整色温。除此之外变化不大,恼人的风扇依然存在。不过至少价格要低一些。

While an excellent entry with a stunning new display, the 2019 MacBook Air's dual-core processor still feels underwhelming. Even with a lower price of admission, it’s still pretty expensive considering its light starting specification and pricey upgrades.

The 2019 Macbook Air is the latest iteration of Apple’s entry-level laptop line and while it is pricier than other machines with similar specifications, its slim, minimalist profile and packed feature set will make you consider it as a serious contender anyway. But while this used to be the only device in its class, rising prices and comparatively better PC options have made the decision a bit more complicated.

The MacBook Air's decent battery life, sharp screen, strong sound and elegant gold colorway make it a solid entry-level laptop for Apple fans. If only its processor had a little more kick to it, it would be a lot easier to recommend the Air.

The MacBook is dead, long live the MacBook Air! This 2019 version does some key things: in the absence of the 12-inch MacBook, the Air is a far better proposition; the price is £100 lower than the previous year, keeping it more competitive; the keyboard doesn't suffer the extent of issues its predecessor did; and the nice-to-have addition of True Tone display technology is welcome. All that makes for a more balanced entry-level Mac laptop.

The MacBook Air (2019) is a great option for light computing, and excellent for portable office work or students. Apple's cheapest laptop doesn't feel it at all – it's a fast and capable machine. Just choose your amount of storage carefully…

Other than that this is largely the same as last year - which is to say, it's an excellent light laptop for light use, with a beautiful portable design, excellent battery life and lovely trackpad. Speed, which on paper should be unchanged, seems fractionally down on last year, but not so as you'd notice in Air-typical usage. Finally, Apple's True Tone screen tech has arrived on the Air. This is an acquired taste, but it's nice to have the option and should ensure more consistent colour output.

The 2019 edition of Apple's MacBook Air is cheaper and has a slightly richer feature set than its solid predecessor, making it a decent ultraportable for buyers who won't perform many resource-intensive computing tasks.

The MacBook Air's decent battery life, sharp screen, strong sound and elegant gold colorway make it a solid entry-level laptop for Apple fans. If only its processor had a little more kick to it, it would be a lot easier to recommend the Air. For faster performance, you could spend $200 more to upgrade to the MacBook Pro. If you're not tied to the Apple world (and you're OK with a lower-res screen), look at the 1080p Dell XPS 13 we tested, which is faster, lasts longer and costs $100 less than our MacBook Air, at $1,199. But for those who want to save a little money, don't need the Touch Bar and have a modest workload, the new MacBook Air is a solid option. I just wish I could trust that keyboard. For that, only time will tell.

All of which is to say that if you’re looking to buy an Air, there are a lot of “ifs” and “depends” to think about. There’s always a better version coming next year. Maybe Apple will redesign the keyboard or maybe Intel will finally deliver a better processor or maybe, well, there are a lot of maybes. That is the way of all tech purchases! You always have to balance what you’re willing to spend and what you’re willing to lug around in your backpack.
