设计师的理想。 华硕在赋予5.5寸的ZenFone 3高端外观的同时保持了性能和配置。结果得到了一台优秀而且负担得起的中档智能手机,并且它在测试中几乎没有表现出任何的缺点。

The ZenFone 3 smartphone family represents a concerted effort by ASUS to break into the premium smartphone market. The ASUS ZenFone 3 (ZE552KL) model itself represents the tip of the spear. After all, it is the most affordable variant in the family.

Asus isn’t officially selling the regular Zenfone 3 in the US but it is already available via a marketplace seller on Amazon if you’d rather have the regular Zenfone 3 over the more illustrious (and higher priced) Zenfone 3 Deluxe. What do you think of the Asus Zenfone 3 and do you plan to buy one? Let us know your views in the comments below!

The design is another highlight of Zenfone 3 ZE552KL, it's put together like an expensive phone. An oleophobic coating over both glass panes would have helped avoid most of the smudging (and there's a lot of it). The chipset was a safe but boring choice, it offers just enough speed without topping the charts.

The glass makes Zenfone 3 a beautiful device, but at the same time the front works like a magnet to fingerprints. Overall, it is a great device with good camera and battery that can last for more than two days, making it a good companion without thinking of battery backup.

As well as the normal mode of operation there are easy and kid's modes, and you'll find an assortment of extras crowding the Settings menu. ZenMotion offers a variety of customisable touch- and motion gestures as well as One Hand Mode, which shrinks the display to a more manageable size. There are also Power management, Memory and Asus Customised settings menus, plus Themes, a separate menu for screenshot settings, and even two update offerings - system updates and ZenUI updates. There's just a lot of stuff going on here.

The Zenfone 3 is far from a flawless device — it looks outdated and bland, it’s got a skin filled with bloatware and its performance is nothing to write home about. However, in the areas where it excels, it truly makes its mark. The device’s camera has created a new benchmark for quality in my mind that, quite frankly, extends past mid-range devices to contend with many top-tier devices on the market today. It also has two-day battery life, something not many smartphones anywhere on the price spectrum can brag.

If the Zenfone 3 is competitively priced in the UK, as it is in many other markets, the phone could be a solid choice for buyers on a budget. However, it will only deliver on its opening promise if my initial concerns about build quality aren't found to be a problem across the board.

The Zenfone 3 has a few aspects such as build quality, screen, and camera going for it. However, Asus' ZenUI software is quite intrusive and even the phone lacks a design flair. All things considered, the Zenfone3 isn't a bad phone. However, the Lenovo ZuK Z1 comes across as a much better handset, which is significantly cheaper. Moreover, you can get the much better Xiaomi Mi 5 for he same price.

Asus Zenfone 3 can perform quite well to use Snapdragon 625 processor, although someone thinks it’s not enough, you may not be happy with the back design, but the rectangular fingerprint scanner makes you surprise. Although the auto mode is not perfect to take pictures, the manual mode can be a good solution. Right now you can enjoy coupon code ZenFonGB to catch it at $348.99 for three colors.

Asus manages to maintain its recognised appeal consistently with premium built from high to low-end devices and “straight to business” zeal when you unbox it. The ZenFone 3 feels refreshed for sure as compared to other similar looking mid segment phones. Moreover, it sports an all-new design which is different from its predecessors, as well as impressive innards. The entire charm lies with the front and back coated with glass. The feel and touch of the phone at the first glance, itself will have you admiring.

The Zenfone 3 (3GB RAM) model is an all-rounder for sure and it doesn't have much loopholes to complaint. Asus should also be congratulated for moving away from its older curvy and plastic design. But those who are not confident of handling a glassy device or do not like complex interfaces, should stay away from this.

Final Verdict Asus Zenfone 3 has been given a big design makeover and makes a late but slipping entry to the list of phones that use glass and metal for a beautiful look. But it does look like a fine device – shiny, glossy and premium, it looks everything. Only, in process, it becomes a slippery device to use. I would surely like my phone to be smooth in feel, but not a wet round soap. Asus Zenfone 3 has also gotten a great deal smoother on the inside too but the ZenUI is still a crowded space like it used to be and a lot needs to be done to make the smoother looker cleaner and leaner.

Which brings us to the crux of all this analysis – is the ZenFone 3 worth investing in? Our answer is simple: not if you are a benchmark junkie, but if you seek a good-looking compact device with great sound, a good display and good battery life, this has got to be one of the better options out there at its price point. This is perhaps the first ZenFone that is flauntable as well as functional.

The biggest strength of the old ZenFones was that they were very affordable and very reliable devices — you get a lot of smartphone for your money. The ZenFone 3, on the other hand, comes with a hefty RM1,699 price tag. Sure, you are getting an arguably better phone made from better materials, but if you’re spending this much money on a device, it needs to go beyond being just reliable and good. It also needs to make you feel special. And that’s something the ZenFone 3 just doesn’t do.

The ZenFone 3 is a strong showing from Asus and a good showcase of what the company is capable of when it puts all its effort behind a product. The funny thing is it isn't even the company's flagship device, and we are very much interested in what the ZenFone 3 Deluxe is capable of if the ZenFone 3 is so good.

Asus’ Zenfone 3 stands tall with its premium looks and great display, but with the boring old software and anaemic hardware, it’s hard to recommend it over the OnePlus 3 that is priced exactly the same and comes with plenty more. Go for the 5.5-inch Zenfone 3 if you prefer premium looks over raw power!

Overall, the ASUS ZenFone 3 ZE552KL is an awesome first step upwards to the upper midrange price range, featuring flagship level design and near flagship-level hardware and tech specs. Granted, the price tag of RM1699 is a lot higher than previous ASUS ZenFones but for what it has packed in, both in terms of design and hardware, the ZenFone 3 is offering a lot more than what it is worth. This includes a 4GB RAM / 64GB storage smartphone with 4K video recording for well below RM2K, something that you usually don't see with great design included. At the time of writing this review, prices have dropped to RM1449 (RM1279 this Merdeka) so there isn’t much discrepancy between overseas prices and Malaysian prices now.

The Zenfone 3 3GB / 32GB is priced at Rs. 21,999 and the 4GB / 64GB is priced at Rs. 27,999. The 4GB version price wise is competing with the OnePlus 3. If you compare OnePlus 3 and Zenfone 3 both the handsets are powerful, can shoot/play 4K, excellent camera and can play high end games, but technically OnePlus 3 is much more powerful (benchmark wise).

Any smartphone’s five basic pillars include design and display, performance, battery life, camera and software. Asus Zenfone 3 does well in three of those department while it’s camera is a passable one. It’s UI is something which may not appeal to everyone, especially if you have used a stock Android or Moto product.

A less flattering comparison with the Korean giant is the fact that like it, Asus too seems to be in a “release a slew of devices” mode. The launch of the ZenFone 3 saw a number of devices being released, leading to a confusion that is alas, rapidly becoming a given with some brands. Only two phones, however, came with the ZenFone 3 branding with no additional words (ultra, laser, deluxe, etc.). This was the ZenFone 3 with a 5.2-inch display, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage,

The Asus Zenfone 3, as we mentioned above, is available in two variants. The 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage variant costs Rs 21,999, while the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage version comes at Rs 27,999. The device's greatest competitors are the OnePlus 3 and the Xiaomi Mi 5 as they both sport the Snapdragon 820 processor, full HD displays, and one of them even has 6GB RAM.

The ASUS ZenFone 3 is an excellent all-round successor to the ZenFone 2 series. It has a highly attractive physical design for its price point, and it runs well for a sub S$500 smartphone. We also liked it because of how much the ZenFone has progressed over time and we usually don't expect smartphones of this class to get everything right, while looking good at the same time. The ZenFone 3 offers decent camera quality, functional processing power, and a clean enough UI, finished off with mindful consideration for its handling and looks. Without a doubt, it's a good all-rounder and a great mid-range phone for just S$498 (or S$398 if you opt for the smaller display size).

This year, Asus expanded the availability of the ZenFone 3 series, which means consumers should be able to easily get their hands on the new range. With the lowest pricing at Rs. 18,999, the ZenFone 3 range has definitely tried to shed the budget tag from its handsets but it will be interesting to see how well the phones do in the Indian market.

After all that’s said and done, ASUS’ upcoming Zenfone 3 is one of the best phones they’ve ever produced. It’s easy to make a great looking, great performing phone, but to make one with a price tag that’s under 20K – that’s the real challenge. While ASUS hasn’t released pricing for the Zenfone 3 yet, IF they follow international pricing then there’s a lot of value to be had for the phone (it’s expected to retail at right around 16K-17K for the larger 5.5-inch variant) despite its higher street price compared to last year’s model.

Just when we thought ASUS came to their senses regarding pre-installed software (AKA bloatware), they’ve managed to pre-load the Zenfone 3 with all manner of useless junk that most of us would probably uninstall. This is probably the worst part of the Zenfone experience, and while the phone’s hardware is more than enough to ensure the phone powers through all of the RAM-eating software that comes with it, we really hoped that they would calm down already when it came to bloatware.
