At RM1099, the ASUS ZenFone 4 Max Pro’s is the clear winner in terms of battery life, no smartphones will of the same class would be able to match its insane standby and usage time, it is therefore a worthy upgrade over the previous ZenFone 3 Max for what it is intended for. However as a ‘Pro’ smartphone, I have expected more than just an increase in battery size, things like the dual camera system is something that I could without, and I would rather trade it off for either Quick Charge 3.0 or a better processor, but let’s face it, there’s no perfect smartphone out there.

The ZenFone 4 Max Pro is basically a slightly better-equipped twin of the ZenFone 4 Max. The “Pro” moniker is just there to emphasize its inclination to mobile photography, hence, the improved camera spec. There’s the Snapdragon 435 but all you’re getting is a faster modem. We’re disappointed that it doesn’t offer anything other than that. ASUS could have justified its existence by equipping it with 64GB of storage to make room for more photos and videos.

Overall, the ASUS ZenFone 4 Max Pro offers a lot more in terms of value for just RM100 more than its predecessor’s initial asking price tag. Granted, you can now get the ZenFone 3 Max for around RM620 or so, but it cannot beat the better battery life and dual-rear and front selfie camera experiences offered by the very much refreshed ZenFone 4 Max Pro. We expect this initial price tag of RM1099 to fall fast as well (update: at the time of writing this review it is now RM979), but the value it offers in terms of features and functions should keep many Malaysians happy.

这是比较大的智能手机尺寸,也十分常见。
大尺寸可以让屏幕有更高的分辨率。因而例如字体等的细节将会更丰富。不过另一方面,小屏幕的功耗会较低,而设备也会更轻盈小巧,售价更低。
