Coolpad Cool 1 is a decent offering from Coolpad and LeEco, however not the best. Camera, display and battery life are amongst the good features of the smartphone but design, type-c port, Loud-speaker (no earphones are provided inside the box) and UI could play a negative role to the overall sale of the smartphone. Also, there is no expandable storage option available in Cool 1. However, in the same price range, you have better smartphones available in the market such as Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Moto G4 Plus and Honor 6X that offer fantastic performance and specifications.

Coolpad Cool 1 is solid buy at Rs 13,999 with the capability to outperform even more expensive devices. The camera and the battery are the biggest highlights of the device, with the crisp display coming in a close third. While I’m not a fan of the UI, if you’re looking for something different on a budget, the Cool 1 will be on my recommendation list.

Keeping everything into the consideration, Coolpad Cool 1 Dual has the best in class performance, a strong metal chassis. Its dual camera is better than most of its current competitors out there. The bokeh effect gives you DSLR-like experience, not to mention it has a dedicated Monochrome camera. The camera is the most satisfying for this price. The battery life is another aspect to look for. It gives you ample time to stay up without charging. In regards to all the above aspects, this is the best bargain if you are planning to buy a smartphone under ₹15,000.

A very good buy for the price and with dual camera that give excellent output when using wide aperture mode. Another handset the Honor 6X will be launched this month, that too will come with dual cameras, may be you would want to wait for a review and comparison of both the handsets.

Except for the heating issues, we think that the Cool 1 is one of the best smartphones that Coolpad has ever launched. The design is refreshing and the change is actually welcome considering from there are similar-looking budget phones. The dual-camera setup works great and the battery can easily last a full day. All of these make the Cool 1 a value-for-money device at a price tag of Rs 13,999. As for alternatives, there's Motorola Moto G4 Plus and Lenovo K6 Note are great as well.

The Coolpad Cool 1 offers a package that punches well above its weight. With great performance, a display that is as good or even better than most of the competition and build quality that impresses, there’s very little not to like about the Cool 1.

The Coolpad Cool1 Dual smartphone has a battery of 4000mAh which makes the phone a bit heavy. But the battery life you get is very good. You can charge the phone in the morning, take it out and use it all day and you will still have some battery juice left.

The Cool 1 Dual offers good performance for its price. It’s built well, and it has a sharp display, very good battery life plus sufficient power for most tasks. The lack of expandable storage is our only major gripe here as 32GB might not be enough a year down the line. Given a choice, you should buy this phone online as you get more RAM at the same price.

The Coolpad Cool1 nails it with a commendable battery life, good (if predictable) build, withstands heavy usage and gaming, and comes with above average cameras and software that has minor issues (that can be fixed, we hope). At Rs 13,999, it may cost a little more than the Redmi Note 3, which is the most sought after choice these days at this price, but if the extra bucks mean we get a very good camera with some cool options, there is one word we have – COOLIO! Regardless of the sales numbers, Cool 1 stands out in the crowd and that itself is refreshing to see as this would prompt the competition to bring such offerings.

To conclude, the smartphone is one of those few phones that promises a dual-camera setup at an affordable price tag, but the claims falls flat. Though it offers some good performance coupled with sturdy design, but we were a bit disappointed with the camera performance.

Coolpad Cool Pay 6 is a pretty great smartphone when you look at the overall performance. Given the price-point, the device won’t disappoint people who’re into smartphone gaming and dual rear cameras are an added advantage. However, the sub-15k segment is growing rapidly and there’s a ton of other options to choose from as well.

The Cool Play 6 includes loads of hardware to justify its price tag of Rs. 14,999. This is the only phone in this budget that has Snapdragon 653 chipset and 6GB RAM. The bottom line is that this is a good option for gaming enthusiasts who are restricted by a budget.

The Coolpad Play 6 is a decent smartphone, but so many dual-camera phones available in the budget range, it has a tough hill to climb. The camera doesn't bring about much improvement over last year's Coolpad Cool 1, and unfortunately competitors have surpassed this already. 6GB RAM and the Snapdragon 653 chipset is still difficult to ignore though.

From the looks of it, the Coolpad Cool Play 6 is a performance-focused device. The Snapdragon 653 SoC along with 6GB of RAM can pretty much brute force its way through anything you throw at it. Also, there is more internal storage than what you get with other smartphones at this price. With Journey UI, Coolpad has brought its phones closer to the stock Android experience than before. However, camera performance is strictly average and the wait to charge the battery can be annoying.

Another very good handset from Coolpad, you can call this an upgraded version of the Cool 1. Everything is good about this handset and so is the price. The Coolpad Cool Play 6 offers premium design packaged, a considerable battery life and a good dual rear camera - probably one of the best bokeh effects we have seen for smartphones in this price segment. But, the app crashes and heating problems are major issues that one cannot ignore and therefore we cannot recommend the device fully. If you are looking for a smartphone in Rs 14,000 - Rs 16,000 bracket, the Nokia 6 or Moto G5 Plus could perhaps be better alternatives.

Coolpad has tried to put together a decent low-cost package, and at Rs. 6,499, the higher-end variant of this phone is one of only a few options in the market which has 3GB of RAM and a fingerprint sensor. However, the overall system, camera, and battery performance leaves a lot to be desired. Plus, with just 32GB of onboard storage, we expected the phone to have a dedicated microSD card slot instead of having to compromise on using two SIM cards.

At Rs 5,999 for 2GB/16GB and Rs 6,499 for 3GB/32GB, the Coolpad Cool 3 Plus is an average device and there are some key issues with photography and slow charging speed. However, we must understand that it is a budget smartphone and most smartphones in this price range do have problems with photography or charging. Other budget alternatives such as the Realme C2 and Nokia 2.2, might be a better option for users who want a budget smartphone that delivers on these parameters as well.

For the price it holds, the Cool 3 Plus starts at Rs 5,999 for its base variant i.e. 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage and Rs 6,499 for its 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage variant which is highly affordable. If you have an extremely tight budget and want an entry-level Android smartphone, consider the Coolpad Cool 3 Plus, it competes with the likes of Realme C2 and Redmi 7A in terms of pricing. If you can extend your budget slightly, the Realme C2 is an ideal alternative.

Priced at Rs 7,999 for the 3GB/32GB variant, the Coolpad Cool 3 Plus is a good-looking device with a decent display, but underperforming hardware somewhat mar the overall experience. The major stand-out feature of the Coolpad Cool 3 Plus is the fact that it offers a fingerprint scanner at a price point which no other brand is doing at the moment. The design and display are both good and add a modern touch, and while cameras seem promising in daylight, that’s where the positives end. It’s the not phone to get for performance, battery or low-light photography, and those are exactly the areas where the Realme C2 takes the lead. It’s still not a bad deal for Rs. 5,999 though.

The Coolpad Cool 5 looked like a good contender on paper, but in reality, it was quite disappointing. At around this same price, the Redmi 8 (Review) or even the Realme 3i (Review) would be better options to buy. The Type-C port and compact size are probably this phone's only redeeming points, but it falls short in pretty much every other area. Battery life is just average, the cameras are very disappointing, and the overall performance of the Helio P22 is not great.

The Coolpad Cool 5 is a good-looking device with more-than-decent battery backup and processor -- even though it can't run heavy games that well. But in any case, not many budget smartphones can. Where it really falters is camera quality. Although it'd be unfair to expect top-notch camera from a budget smartphone, Cool 5's competitors, like Redmi 8A and Realme 5, perform much better in this respect. In the age of social media that we live in, this would be a big disadvantage for Coolpad.

The Coolpad Cool 5 is a fairly good looking device and does most of the basic things right.
