For RM8,369, Dell has thrown in almost everything except the kitchen sink for their most powerful variant of the XPS 13 as you get a 13.3-inch InfinityEdge 4K UHD touch screen, an 8th generation Intel Core i7-8565U processor, 16GB RAM, Intel UHD Graphics 620 and a generously sized 512GB M.2 PCIE NVME SSD. These are the specifications available in our test unit which were impressive indeed. Stay tuned for the full review later! To check out the Dell XPS 13 9380, swing by Dell’s official website here.

Additionally, the device has a great input device (its keyboard has a backlight), charges with a Type-C connector and utilizes a blazing fast fingerprint scanner. However, one of the most annoying things about it is the lack of non-Type-C USB connectors, meaning you’ll need an adapter for sure. Either way, if you need a fresh and cheaper option to this laptop, check the ZenBook 13 UX333 or the Lenovo Ideapad 730S.

These should cover most potential issues. Hopefully, the XPS 9380 won’t suffer from all of them, but coil whine, rattling fans, hot bottoms and performance hiccups, those are probably still on the menu. Luckily, given the popularity of this series, you will find a lot of support on Reddit and forums, Google is your friend. For now, this is what you should expect from the 2018 Dell XPS 13 9380. The comments section is open for your feedback and questions though, and stay tuned for a proper review in the months to come.

With no real improvements over its predecessor, Dell’s latest XPS 13 feels like more of a mid-generation revision than a genuine update. Not a disappointment, certainly, but you might as well go with last year’s model.

Dell’s XPS 13 is still one of the best Windows ultraportables around. Its design is better than ever, it has fantastically bright Dolby Vision HDR screens and Dell has finally returned the webcam to the proper position. There aren’t many downsides -- unless you’re looking for a bit of gaming performance.

The Dell XPS 13 was already one of the best ultrabooks you can buy, and with slight tweaks it’s only got better in 2019. The webcam has been shifted to its traditional place, the upgrade to a Whiskey Lake processor has improved performance and battery life and apparent calibrations to the display has widened its sRGB colour gamut coverage.

It's nearly impossible to find anything to dislike about this 13-inch slim powerhouse, at least in the pricey high-end configuration tested here.

The XPS 13 for 2019 ticks all the boxes. It looks great, the build quality is excellent, it’s nice and portable and has a wide range of specs to choose from.

So in short, the latest XPS 13 is faster, better designed, has a longer battery, and is cheaper too. If that’s not progress, I don’t know what is. As such, the new Dell XPS 13 is an easy recommendation if your priority is for a compact and powerful ultraportable in a traditional notebook form factor.

I had to look long and hard to find anything I didn't like about the 2019 Dell XPS 13. Pressed to come up with a list, I'd say the woven glass fiber palm rest doesn't look or feel as high-end as it should. The white backlight shining through white keys (on the white and rose gold versions) sometimes makes it harder to see the keys, not easier. And in order to get a touchscreen model, you have to trade up to a 4K display, which is more expensive and not as battery-friendly.

The Dell XPS 13 serves up a new color, a powerful Intel Whiskey Lake processor, a 4K display (and ditches the ridiculous "nosecam") - all in a slim, lightweight chassis.
