需要一款经典的商务笔记本的替代品的用户可能会对惠普ElitePad 1000 G2感到有些失望：很少的接口，不足的性能，欠缺的功能——它的缺点可以列出很多。
这款平板产品的初衷并不是用于替代笔记本电脑。我们认为这款ElitePad是个非常便携的（辅助）设备，它最适合于会议或旅行中使用。从这个角度来看，它全面的表现是一个很大的优势：整体上，它的性能可以满足一般的办公软件使用；额外的接口可以通过连接拓展坞或转接头获得。不过如果没有这些配件，它的实际用途可能会受到很大限制。
除此之外，惠普都做得不错：除了一些细节，它的生产工艺和质量都近乎无暇；散热设计（不像其他的生产商）让系统可以在满负荷下运行。如果它会有下一代产品的话，我们希望会有更明亮的屏幕，更好的摄像头和更长一些的电池续航。它的价格可能会随着更多竞争者进入市场而下降——即使是现在售价750欧元（约987美元）、配置较低的入门型号（仅64GB eMMC存储空间，无移动网络模组）也称不上是个划算的选择。
