Moment lenses, available for a variety of Android and iOS phones, are a great way to upgrade your smartphone photography. They’re well-built, deliver sharp photos, and are easy to twist onto a dedicated phone case. However, there are a few drawbacks worth considering.

The Pixel 7 Pro is yet another flagship stunner from Google. Its photographic talents alone are a good reason to upgrade, but when you factor in the improved performance, refined design and frankly exceptional display, the Pixel 7 Pro is practically faultless. What’s more, Google’s decision not to hike the price for 2022 means that it’s one of the cheapest flagships on the market. The result is an overall package that puts all other smartphone makers to shame, with the Pixel 7 Pro delivering all the high-end features and quality of design you could hope for with none of the trade-offs you might expect.

I think that Google has finally realized its smartphone vision with the Pixel 7 Pro. This device is excellent, from the design to Tensor G2 and the cameras. As far as the latter goes, you will not find a better Android camera phone. Even the iPhone 14 Pro is on watch now. (You can check out our detailed comparison of the Google Pixel 7 Pro vs. iPhone 14 Pro Max as well). If anything, I wish the Pixel 7 Pro would receive more than just three years of platform updates. Google owns Tensor, so I had hoped we would see Pixels be the iPhone equivalent in terms of support. Sadly, that dream has yet to come true. I suggest that you consider the Pixel 7 Pro next time you’re in the market for a smartphone. The jury is still out on battery life and I will update this review when I have more data for you. For now, however, I really like this device, more than any other Android phone before it.

While the introduction of the Pixel 7a made choosing between it and the standard Pixel 7 a complicated process, the Pixel 7 Pro stands out more than ever. All three phones are worth your attention, but I think that power users will inevitably find themselves drawn to the Pixel 7 Pro — especially if it's on sale. For a lot of people, the Pixel 7 or Pixel 7a might be enough. If you don’t consider yourself much of a photographer — or you really only use the primary lens on your smartphone — I think those cheaper options will serve you well. But I’ve had so much fun shooting with the telescope and ultra-wide lenses that, any time I switch to the smaller models, I usually find myself missing those features. I might prefer the smaller design of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7a, but there's no doubt it's missing out on some crucial tools.

Google Pixel 7a vs Pixel 7 vs Pixel 7 Pro | Camera, Gaming, Life!
Source: Tech Spurt English
Comparing Google's Pixel 7a vs the Pixel 7 and Pro, to see which smartphone boasts the best camera tech, gaming experience etc for you. I've tested all three as my full-time phone, including the affordable Pixel 7a and that pricey 7 Pro. So here's my verdict on how they stack up and check out my unboxing and review of all three! The Google Pixel 7a costs just £449 in the UK and offers very similar specs to the Pixel 7. Performance is handled by the Tensor G2, with 8GB RAM, while the 90Hz OLED screen is another FHD panel with HDR10 support. However, the Pixel 7a sports a different camera sensor (IMX787) vs the 7 and 7 Pro, which use an Octa PD Quad Bayer setup instead. All the same, photo quality is similar until the lighting is more ambient, while Google's phones all deliver 4K 60FPS video recording. Gamers will enjoy a smooth (ish) frame rate on Genshin Impact, along with the Game Dashboard feature. It's stock Android 13 on all three smartphones, with years of OS and security updates lined up. Battery life is thankfully good on all three too. The Pixel 7a struggled for the first week, but since then it's been more dependable, with over six hours of screen on time per charge. The 7 and 7 Pro recharge faster however, with 30W tech.

In the same way Apple tweaked the iPhone 14 just enough, Google has done the same with the Pixel 7 Pro. This is a refined Pixel 6 Pro, with a design that’s comfier to grip and a more capable chipset. If you’re happy with your Pixel 6 Pro – there’s very little reason to upgrade. But, if you’re coming from an older device, be it Android or iOS, the Pixel 7 Pro is fantastic and one of the phones I have enjoyed using most this year. The camera takes very pleasing, contrast-rich shots in all sorts of conditions and the app itself packs numerous AI tricks. Performance is good, if not the best, while the software experience is great. It’s also important to take the price into consideration. The Pixel 7 Pro costs £849 / €‎899 – making this far more affordable than the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max in Europe.

Google isn't reinventing the wheel with the Pixel 7 Pro; it is instead refining the design it introduced last year and rolling out a slate of camera and software features that make a big difference. The Tensor G2 is at the heart of these changes, powering the new features that rely heavily on machine learning, like Photo Unblur. The cameras are even better than last year, and the Pixel 7 Pro gets huge upgrades on the video front. The in-screen sensor has been overhauled and is fast and reliable, and the device runs Android 13 with exclusive software additions. It may not have bold hardware changes, but the Pixel 7 Pro delivers in the areas that truly matter.

The Google Pixel 7 Pro is certainly more attractive, and powerful, and offers one of the best camera experiences. It has everything that you need in a flagship on top of Pure Android, you get great performance with its Google Tensor G2, and it has a gorgeous 120 Hz LTPO AMOLED display with nice curved edges and a super solid premium design. If you want the excellence and unique Pixel experience along with pure Android, then get the Pixel 7 Pro, there’s nothing better out there. If you are a Pixel fan and have enough budget to spend, you won’t go wrong picking the Pixel 7 Pro over any other.

The Google Pixel 7 Pro lives up to its fans’ expectations and delivers a good update with incremental improvements over the Pixel 6 Pro. If you already own a Pixel 6 Pro, it’s not an obvious upgrade (we recommend waiting), but coming from a Pixel 6a, Pixel 5, and below, we can warmly recommend this phone if you want the best Google Pixel phone on the market. From a camera perspective, we really appreciate Google’s great efforts in upgrading its hardware from Pixel 6 Pro onwards. This is one of the best camera phones on the market at this price level. There are slightly stronger options if you’re willing to pay a higher price (Galaxy S23 Ultra, iPhone 14 Pro, etc.). In conclusion, the Google Pixel 7 Pro is a very good Android phone, and we expect it to attract users that enjoy Google’s software features (like “no bloatware”) and Google’s subjective camera tuning (“style”). Other users have ample choices, from Xiaomi, OnePlus, and Samsung, for example.

80% Google Pixel 7 Pro Long-Term Review: A True Flagship Android Experience
Source: Tech2.in.com English EN→zh-CN
The Google Pixel 7 Pro is priced at Rs 84,999 in India with a one year warranty. By no means is it affordable, but after having used it for a considerable amount of time, I can safely say that the experience has been largely enjoyable. Despite the high price, it is still cheaper than its direct competitors like the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra or the Apple iPhone 14 Pro. But unlike those two, Google does not offer a 256 GB or higher storage variant of the Pixel 7 Pro here. Pixel phones are mostly about great cameras and the most updated version of Android, but the 7 Pro is a lot more than that. While it aces those two departments, the overall software experience is the finest I have come across on Android phones. The only thing Google truly needs to work on is a ‘real’ fast charging solution. If you are looking for a solid all-round flagship device comfortably under a lakh Rupees, the Pixel 7 Pro is a great choice. If you are mainly keen on the primary camera performance and software experience, the Pixel 7 might be a better choice for you for a good 25K less. Stay tuned for its long-term review.

Google is gearing up for a run at Apple’s united ecosystem with the launch of its Pixel Watch, the Pixel Buds Pro, and the upcoming Pixel Tablet, and the Pixel 7 Pro is poised to lead the charge with an air of class, sophistication, and polish that isn’t always guaranteed for products adorned with the Big G’s iconic logo.

70% Google Pixel 7 Pro review: amazing camera, unreliable smartphone
Source: Digital Trends English EN→zh-CN
The Pixel 7 Pro has proven to be a very frustrating smartphone. There’s so much I really love about it. The design is better than ever, the display looks fantastic, the cameras are outstanding, and Google’s smart software features make the Pixel truly stand out from everything else on the market. But to get those things, you need to be OK with mediocre battery life, a phone that warms up very easily, a bad fingerprint sensor, and potentially an onslaught of bugs. It becomes a difficult recommendation for a phone that starts at $899. And that’s even more true when you consider the Pixel 7 Pro’s competitors. If you want the latest and greatest Pixel experience, the $599 Pixel 7 is arguably a much better purchase — so long as you can live without the telephoto camera and 120Hz screen. You can save even more cash and get a similarly great handset with the Pixel 6a. And if it’s a big smartphone with a robust camera system you’re after, I’m inclined to first recommend the Galaxy S22 Ultra or iPhone 14 Pro Max. I don’t think the Pixel 7 Pro is a failure or an outright terrible smartphone. It keeps all of the things that made the Pixel 6 Pro so excellent, and they shine just as bright here. But Google had clear problems that needed to be addressed — from poor thermals, disappointing battery life, and unreliable software. As far as I can tell, none of those things were addressed the way they needed to be. There is a foundation for a great smartphone with the Pixel 7 Pro, but until Google can get all of the rubble off of it, it’s not one I’m going to rush out and recommend.

Google Pixel 7 Pro Battery test
Source: DxOMark English EN→zh-CN
The Google Pixel 7 Pro performed better than its predecessor, the Google Pixel 6 Pro, particularly in autonomy and efficiency; however, its global battery score is below the average of our database as a whole. It managed to achieve an average performance for its segment (Ultra-premium, $800 and higher), largely because of a decent autonomy performance when testing each usage separately, especially for video streaming. Its charging and efficiency scores were very low, with long charging times for both wired (2 hours 9 minutes) and wireless (4 hours 1 minute) charging, and a poor boost in autonomy of only 2 hours 34 minutes for a 5-minute charge. The Pixel 7 Pro showed high consumption when streaming music and when on the go.

Source: Gadgets Now English EN→zh-CN
The perception that Pixel phones are all about cameras was never true but somehow it stuck. And for a good reason — Pixel phones did offer stellar cameras. The Pixel 7 Pro is no different in that sense — at least for still photography. This is a smartphone that compels you to overlook certain flaws just because the camera performance is top notch. And there are some flaws — the battery performance isn’t up there with the best and there are some inexplicable issues that end up cropping every now and then. Priced at Rs 84,990, the Google Pixel 7 Pro is a bonafide premium flagship phone and perhaps that’s where the trouble lies. When a buyer is willing to spend that amount of money, the camera alone can’t be driving factor. The Tensor G2 chip is Google’s second attempt at its own processors and it offers reliable performance. If you are in the market for a premium smartphone that is not made by Apple or Google, then do not hesitate in buying the Pixel 7 Pro. Google hasn’t cracked the code as well as Apple, or for that matter Samsung has but what it has done is made an impressive smartphone that will end up appealing to a lot of users.

90% Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro Review: It’s Not Just About the Cameras Anymore
Source: NDTV Gadgets English EN→zh-CN
Google's Pixel 7 is a solid premium smartphone with good camera performance, battery life and a decent display. It's not going to win many points on style and design, mainly because it appears very similar to the mid-range Pixel 6a (Review), even though it's built using more premium materials. A solid competitor to the Pixel 7 is the Samsung Galaxy S22 5G (Review). It is compact, offers similar battery life, a faster 120Hz refresh rate, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. It also looks more premium with its razor-thin display bezels and is available from Rs. 62,999. The Google Pixel 7 Pro gets just about everything right save for battery life and charging speeds, which falls short of expectations. Samsung's Galaxy S22 Ultra (Review) may cost a lot more with prices starting from Rs. 1,08,990, but it adds equally good value by offering better battery life, faster 45W charging, a built-in S-Pen stylus, unique design, and better telephoto capabilities. As for direct competitors to the Pixel 7 Pro, we have the Samsung Galaxy S22+ 5G (Review) at Rs. 84,999 onwards and the Vivo X80 Pro (Review) at Rs. 79,999. These two phones definitely offer good value and equally impressive camera performance as the Pixel 7 Pro. What gives the Pixel an edge though is its software experience and the promise of timely software updates, which will always arrive on the Pixel 7 series before any other smartphone.

Source: Android Central English EN→zh-CN

I’m absolutely blown away how good new Pixel 7 Pro is. It’s a joy to use as a camera and as a smartphone. This is most polished and tactile Android experience to date. I definitely recommend this device despite it’s shortcomings of not so great battery life and maybe somewhat average CPU performance.

Google Pixel 7 Pro Audio test
Source: DxOMark English EN→zh-CN
With a score of 137, the Google Pixel 7 Pro achieved a mid-table position in our DXOMARK Audio ranking. Overall performance was in line with previous Pixel models, but there were areas for sound improvement across all attributes, which prevented the 7 Pro from challenging the very best phones for audio consumption and recording. When consuming audio content, the Google flagship offered a clear tonal balance, with consistent timbre across all volume levels. The sound scene was rendered wide, and individual instruments or voices were easy to locate within it. In addition, sound that was played back through the Pixel’s speakers was almost free of any artifacts. On the downside, some midrange content could sound canny, and our testers observed a lack of low-end extension and a slightly blurry bass. At the minimum volume settings, the Pixel was very quiet, making it difficult to consume audio files with soft elements, for example, classical music. As a recording device, the Pixel 7 Pro performed best with the main and front cameras. Because the memo app records in mono by default and offers a poor signal-to-noise ratio means that the device is not the best choice for office use cases. This said, Pixel 7 Pro recordings offered good tonal balance and dynamics as well as realistic distance rendering. Wind-noise reduction on the other hand was slightly disappointing overall and induced a pumping effect.

Google Pixel 7 & 7 Pro Review: Peak Android But Only One Storage Variant
Source: Tech2.in.com English EN→zh-CN
The Pixel 7, thanks to its compact size, matte aluminium side rails and lower asking price, is the better value of these two devices, but the 7 Pro is definitely more eye-catching. If you can spare the extra Rs 25,000 and absolutely need the larger screen size and that extra camera, go for the Pixel 7 Pro. But if you want a bang-for-buck, quintessential Pixel experience in a delightful little package, buy the Pixel 7. Either way, at least from our experience, you can’t go wrong.

Google Pixel 7 Pro Smartphone Review
Source: OI Spice Tech News English EN→zh-CN
The Google Pixel 7 Pro is a fantastic smartphone that offers a plethora of exciting and fantastic traits that a flagship smartphone user expects. Plus, the phone also provides lots of camera-centric features that will make your photos and videos quite better compared to other options available in the Android segment. Although the video recording aspect is slightly lower compared to Samsung and Apple, the camera still takes pictures in a completely different class. We would recommend this phone, for sure, for any user as it brings attractive characteristics according to its price point. Still, if you are willing to spend a bit more, you can get the iPhone 14 for better cinematic videos. At the end of the day, we all know that the camera quality of pixel phones is superior, so choose wisely what you need in the first place. Besides this, you can also check out the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus for well-rounded specs, performance, and software updates.

The camera offers plenty of options to capture excellent quality images. The light and colour capture are very natural and accurate, with only rare occasions where the lighting may cause a less than satisfactory outcome. The slight $300.00 increase in cost over the Pixel 7 is well justified and if you want a phone that’s well worth the money, then this is it. I would very happily recommend the Pixel 7 Pro to any user who is looking for a larger device with a stunning screen, great performance, truly excellent camera and really good battery life.

The Pixel 7 Pro has a unique design, takes stunning photographs, and sticks out in a crowd. Whatever you use it for, it simply functions well. Although the overall performance is good, the battery life could be better. Despite some features not living up to our expectations, Google delivered on the majority of the tall promises made for this smartphone. Overall, it is a refined improvement in every regard over the previous generation. However, you should get the Google Pixel 7 Pro only for its excellent cameras and Android experience. Yes, it is a bit expensive but it’s worth it.

Yeah. I don’t know what else to say. This is the best Android phone you can buy right now. $599 is an incredible deal for a phone this good. If you plan to keep it for a couple of years, fork out the extra $100 to get 256GB storage. Even then, $699 is a steal. Why wouldn’t you buy it? If you need a dedicated telephoto camera or you are a power user who needs a phone that is the battery life king. Otherwise, this is it.

Similarly challenging to put a number on is the software experience - benchmarks certainly don't do the 7 Pro any justice. Android, the way Google envisions it, is a rather unique blend of simplicity and feature-richness, and here, it's delivered to your fingertips with a level of fluidity only Apple can muster. But it's when getting to the numbers that the Pixel 7 Pro struggles to compete on quite the same level as a lot of the other big-name rivals. Battery life is markedly worse than on a current iPhone, and a Galaxy will likely get you better longevity too. Neither Apple nor Samsung are industry leaders in charging speed, but Google has become an industry... trailer? Two hours for a full charge can turn into an actual issue in day-to-day use, we reckon. And then, despite all the gushing over Pixel cameras, there's potential for improvement here or there as well. Ultimately, though, the Pixel 7 Pro is a compelling package that can easily win over other brand loyalists if given a chance, and the enticing pricing helps a lot. Meanwhile, the folks already on the #teampixel bandwagon will need more convincing, particularly if they're already rocking the previous generation Pixel. But that's true for mostly any smartphone sequel these days, ain't it?

Source: The Verge English EN→zh-CN
The 7 and 7 Pro are good, sometimes great phones, but at the same time, I think they fall short of the “simply powerful, super helpful” device Google is marketing. It hasn’t quite reached this vision of a device that effortlessly navigates customer service calls for you, blends voice assistant features seamlessly with the rest of your UI, and takes photo bombers out of the background of your shots. These things sort of work sometimes but not well enough to really wow anyone. But more importantly, the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro do the essentials better than the 6 and 6 Pro did. They unlock more quickly, the camera improvements keep them on par with the competition, and they look and feel like the genuine flagship article. The extra features that don’t quite land are just that — extras. They might one day evolve into something that makes the Pixel a smarter smartphone than the competition, but for now, the 7 and 7 Pro are just plain competitive. For anyone looking for an alternative to the two biggest players in the US, “competitive” is just what we need.

88% Google Pixel 7 Pro Review: best bargain flagship refined
Source: Phone Arena English EN→zh-CN
At the end of the day, Google entered the big leagues last year and the Pixel 7 Pro once again shows the company's commitment. It is a refinement over the previous generation in every way, slightly improved design, brighter screen, better cameras, better video, improved battery life, more nice machine learning and voice recognition feature, but not one major change to really stand out. But there is one thing that Google really has to nail down if it wants people to love this phone, and that thing is reliability. Pixel phones have suffered from slowdowns, bugs and all sorts of issues in the past, and the Pixel 7 Pro has to prove that Google can make a problem-free device that is not only fast at launch, but that remains fast and reliable after a year or a couple of years of use. In our immediate experience with it, most of the bugs are gone, but only time will tell whether it will hold up long-term. For all else, the Pixel 7 Pro remains an incredible bargain at its price and it's a joy to use, so it gets our enthusiastic thumbs up.

The Pixel 7 Pro is a handsome looking smartphone by all means, drawing more eyes than what the iPhone 14 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra could manage. It is built nicely too but it can age fast with those scuffs and scratches. I only wish Google had continued offering those interesting colour options on the Pixel 6 Pro on this one – the current colours don't do justice to the design. Then there's the rest of the phone stuff. The Pixel 7 Pro has my favourite still camera system of any high-end smartphone in 2022. The things it does at night only boggles my mind; Night Sight is unmatched for its sheer image processing. The Tensor G2 seems to be doing its job well, and it also handles all of the Pixel smart features well. The general performance is great but battery life has room for improvement. However, you should buy the Pixel 7 Pro solely for its Android experience. It is sublime and is designed carefully; every interaction feels organic and every design element feels natural. No Samsung Galaxy or iPhone can match this level of intuitiveness. If you have a budget of Rs. 90000 to spend on a smartphone, ignore the iPhone 14 Plus and get this. You will love it.

With the Pixel 7 Pro, Google took all the problems with the 6 and 6 Pro and fixed them. Well, almost. There are still some software glitches; they're very subtle, but we noticed the navigation controls can occasionally get stuck when closing apps. Beyond that, however, the 7 Pro is a massive improvement on the 6 with its longer battery life, Tensor-powered camera software, and streamlined design. Anecdotally, a good friend of mine was on the fence with regard to the Google Pixel 6 Pro last year. He was worried about battery life and performance and decided to wait for a successor. He purchased it, and recently messaged me recently simply saying "this has been a great purchase". He proceeded to talk about how great the phone was (and most notably its battery life) -- he's simply a normal consumer. If you're an enthusiast, maybe you'll care that it doesn't have the highest GIPS in CPU Throttling Test, or that it doesn't score in the highest percentiles of any arbitrary benchmark out there. However, I guarantee you that 90% of Google's target market simply does not care, nor could they care any less for that matter. If it looks good, feels smooth, and takes great photos, you've already got a captive audience.

This will likely be my vote for POTY, which is surprising to even me because I’m a huge, huge fan of the Galaxy Z Fold 4. It’s the camera for me, though. This phone makes me want to take more photos, using either Night Sight, Macro mode, or the telephoto lens. It all works so well that it’s a real joy to whip out and use. Google Pixel 7 And Pixel 7 Pro Review: Refined In Every Way
Source: Hot Hardware English EN→zh-CN
If you've got a Pixel 6 or 6 Pro that you like, you don't need to upgrade to the new models because they're not vastly better. Google has said most of the AI enhancements from these phones will make their way to last year's models, and they've still got years of software support ahead of them. For those who are due for an upgrade, however, the new Pixel 7 and 7 Pro are excellent choices. They have superb software, class-leading cameras, and flagship-level build quality. Battery life between the two is more middling, but the positives vastly outweigh the negatives here. If you're choosing between the phones, the Pixel 7 for $600 is a really outstanding value. The Pixel 7 Pro is great if you want a larger phone and/or a telephoto camera, but its $300 premium over the standard Pixel 7 may or may not be palatable for everyone.

Google Pixel 7 Pro Review: Refining the Reinvention
Source: Max Tech English
About a year ago, Google seemed to remember the old adage: "The worst reason to do something is because ‘we've always done it that way’." So, it reinvented the wheel in the messy, chaotic way the best reboots happen: by blowing up the comfortable but calcified status quo in favor of a bolder if bumpier chance at something better. That was the Pixel 6, and this year’s Pixel 7 does exactly what it should about (most of) that phone’s bumps … while keeping the price of admission lower than most, and bundling the only camera I would have wanted for a once-in-a-lifetime Iceland vacation. I’m Michael Fisher and this is the Pixel 7 Pro review!

85% Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro review: The best pure Android phones, Bar none?
Source: Hardware Zone English EN→zh-CN
That said, Google’s lack of improvements to the Pixel 7’s battery life and raw performance might leave them struggling to compete with true premium flagship alternatives. Its predecessors were excused since it was Google’s first rodeo with its proprietary Google Tensor chipset. But, it’s been a year now, and seeing no improvements in Tensor G2’s performance or battery uptime makes the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro less appealing to current Pixel 6 series users. We had no choice, but to penalise the Pixels on their performance rating for the lapse. If it wasn’t possible to create huge leaps in processing performance, then perhaps Google should at least consider packing its 30W charger in the box (or offering it as a local bonus) to shore up its value proposition against other competitive Android devices. After all, it’s easier to hook users over with obvious benefits before you lock them in with Pixel’s amazing user experience, interface, and cameras. Google also hasn’t made upgrading easier for loyal Pixel 6 fans, since there are no trade-up promotions, no change in official pricing, and no freebies or loyalty bonuses for #teampixel. While its variant availability did improve from last year's 128GB-only spread, Google also did not bring in more colour options for the 256GB SKU, and completely left out 512GB option for the local market. If anything, the older Pixel 6 and 6 Pro received an official price cut (S$50 for Pixel 6, S$300 off for Pixel 6 Pro) on the Google Store at the time of writing. Perhaps the irony isn’t lost on Google with how Pixel 7 and 7 Pro seems attractive to nearly everyone else but existing Pixel 6 series users. Perhaps it matters more to Google that you’re #teampixel, enjoying all its software features on a high-quality, pure Android phone.

Source: Android Authority English EN→zh-CN
The Pixel 7 Pro epitomizes what it means to be “Made by Google.” It leans heavily into long-held strengths, offering enough punch in some areas to compete with the best phones on the market while undercutting the vast majority on price. The hyper-flexible and generally idiot-proof camera setup combines seamlessly with the machine learning might of the Tensor G2 processor, which helps to put the smart in smartphone. Google Assistant is a constant presence in the light, smooth, feature-rich Pixel UI, and the Material You-flavored customization options make your phone feel a little more personal. In a world where so many smartphones look and feel the same, Google’s Pixel 7 Pro cuts its own path with a boxy design and a bold — if a bit too thick — camera bar. It feels like it’s cut from the same cloth as its predecessor, which gives way to a few familiar flaws. Google Pixel 7 Pro Selfie test
Source: DxOMark English EN→zh-CN
With a DXOMARK Selfie score of 142, the Google Pixel 7 Pro achieves a spot among the best in our front camera ranking. On the Pixel 7 Pro, Google uses the new second generation of its in-house Tensor chipset and a Samsung image sensor instead of the Sony units in previous models. However, the new sensor is very close to the old one in terms of size and pixel count. The rest of the front camera specification, including focal length and focus point, remains pretty much unchanged as well, but despite the very similar front camera hardware, the new model offers a slightly improved overall performance when compared to last year’s Pixel 6 Pro, thanks to better software and tuning. Like previous Pixel devices, the 7 Pro performs particularly well in terms of skin tone rendering. Google’s “True tone” rendering is capable of producing natural skin tones in still images and videos across all skin types, including dark skin tones, which most other devices struggle with. The Pixel 7 Pro photos and video clips also show good exposure and a wide dynamic range, capturing good detail from the brightest to the darkest parts of the image. The camera also keeps unwanted image artifacts very well under control and is capable of creating a natural-looking bokeh effect in portrait mode.

Google Pixel 7 Pro Display test
Source: DxOMark English EN→zh-CN
The Google Pixel 7 Pro achieved an excellent performance nearly across the board, putting it into second place overall as well as in our ultra-premium segment as of this writing. With well-adapted brightness and contrast, the new Google device provides a great HDR10 video experience. Its color is accurate in every use case, and it has especially good readability indoors and in low light. Though it performs very well overall, the new phone comes with a few drawbacks. For example, although the Pixel 7 Pro starts out with very good adapted brightness outdoors at 1500 nits, that boost in brightness does not last long and readability plummets. But this issue does not detract from an otherwise excellent display experience for its price.

With a DXOMARK Camera score of 147, the Google Pixel 7 Pro makes it to the very top of our ranking, five years after the Pixel 2, which was the last Google device to achieve this. The Pixel 7 Pro showed very consistent results across all test categories. While the Pixel 7 Pro did not achieve the top scores in the Photo or Video subscores, it still competes with the best, and as a package, it is the currently best option for users who value photo and video performance equally. The device does especially well in our new Friends & Family use case, thanks to strong contrast preservation, nice skin tone rendering, fast capture, and good motion freezing capabilities. Compared to the Google Pixel 6 Pro, improvements are noticeable in many areas, including zoom and video, thanks to updated software algorithms and better-optimized camera tuning. For example, the camera now comes with a fusion algorithm — something we have seen before on several competitors in the Ultra-Premium segment — that improves texture rendering when using the tele zoom. The system uses image information from both the primary and tele cameras and combines it in order to deliver the best possible image quality at any tele zoom setting. There is also a macro mode that uses the ultra-wide camera, enabling nice close-up shots in a variety of conditions. The device switches automatically into macro mode as you get closer to a subject. However, this function can be disabled with a quick tap in the app UI.

90% Google Pixel 7 Pro Review

It’s more affordable than Apple’s flagship in the USA too, though not to the same level as the iPhone 14 Pro starts at $999 and the Pixel 7 Pro at $899. For the price, and if you’re in Europe, the Pixel 7 Pro is excellent value.

100% Google Pixel 7 Pro review: Android's new flagship champion?

An ace Android phone that rivals the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra for phone of the year in my view, but for a cut of the price. There are some shortcomings in materials and camera feature implementations, but nothing that can't be forgiven. So if you're after incredible cameras and a design that stands apart from the competition, then the Google Pixel 7 Pro should feature high up your shopping list.

The Google Pixel 7 Pro is every bit as good as the best smartphones from Apple and Samsung. It looks great, takes amazing photos, and stands out in a crowd. Google made lofty promises for this phone, and it delivers on the most important, even though some features aren’t as good as we’d hoped (and others have yet to arrive). Google implements software features as art, and the Pixel 7 Pro improves the smartphone in areas we’d forgotten needed improvement.

Pixel 7 and 7 Pro review: Google weaves its camera magic again
Source: Mashable English EN→zh-CN
The latest additions to Google’s Pixel line don’t bring much in the way of surprise. After six years of producing its own in-house phones, Google knows what it’s doing. And since last year brought a total redesign and a new custom chip, it’s only natural that this year’s Pixel offering is more iterative than revolutionary. True as that is, I still feel that the Pixel 7 Pro is an incredible phone that is well worth an upgrade if you’ve been sitting on an older Pixel or Android phone for a few years. It’s all about the cameras; the telephoto lens produces stunning 30x photos and macro focus brings out the best in tiny objects like flowers and raindrops. It’s merely a nice bonus that you get a bit more RAM and storage with the 7 Pro. That’s not to say anything negative about the Pixel 7, which is a fine phone in its own right with well-above-average cameras and high octane performance. I just don’t feel that it’s different enough from Pixel 6 or even Pixel 6a to warrant the upgrade. At US$599, the Pixel 7 certainly has a more agreeable price than the US$899 Pixel 7 Pro, but if you want a cheaper but still kinda new Pixel, just get the US$450 Pixel 6a instead.

But overall, even at their respective MRPs the Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro are excellent choices. Even the areas -- display and design -- where previous Pixels would seem ordinary, the new Pixel 7 and the 7 Pro excel. So, if a high-end Pixel has been on your mind, or if you just want to get the best Android phone, go ahead, and get the Pixel 7 or the Pixel 7 Pro. Although, that 128GB storage -- it's the only variant available in India -- can be a bit of a downer for some.

Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro review: Still the best bargain in flagship phones
Source: Engadget English
While the specs and hardware haven’t changed a ton since last year’s device, the new Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro offer even better software, a Tensor G2 chip and the same great pricing. Battery life is also solid, especially on the smaller Pixel 7. And thanks to a slightly smaller 6.3-inch, the Pixel 7 is also a better choice for compact phone fans than before. As for the Pixel 7 Pro, not only does it have a slightly longer 5x optical zoom, it can also use its ultra-wide angle lens to take macro photos. On top of that, its curvy edges are also 20 percent flatter than before, so it's nice to hold and there’s less visual distortion around the edge of the screen. All told, between improved software and a price that starts at just $599 for the Pixel 7 or $899 for the Pixel 7 Pro, Google’s latest flagships are some of the best premium phones for the money.

90% Pixel 7 Pro Review: Google's Best Flagship Phone Gets Better
Source: CNet English EN→zh-CN
The Pixel 7 Pro might not have the same pizzazz the Pixel 6 Pro had last year, but it still offers plenty of improvements to result in a superb phone. The $300 premium the Pro carries over the $599 Pixel 7 is well-reflected with the phone's 48-megapixel telephoto camera, along with the same, larger screen brought over from the 6 Pro. There's little else I can say that I don't like about this phone, but it's worth mentioning that many of the Tensor-specific features like Photo Unblur, improvements to Real Tone and Night Sight are shared with that cheaper phone. But the hardware exclusives the 7 Pro does have make it just as deserving of carrying that "flagship" status alongside the best from Apple and Samsung.

The Pixel 7 Pro is an incremental improvement over the excellent Pixel 6 Pro with real gains made in the camera experience, especially at the far end of the zoom. Competition in the flagship smartphone market is fierce, particularly among Android vendors. Google's line of Pixel phones has an enthusiast following among photography buffs and those who prefer the native Android code and Pixel-exclusive software features from Google. The Pixel 7 Pro is a solid entry that offers some of the most powerful photo tools available from a modern smartphone, but its wireless performance, raw processing power, and battery life lag slightly behind the Editors' Choice-winning Galaxy S22+. If you're interested in high-end performance but are shopping on a strict budget, meanwhile, the standard $599 Pixel 7 is our Editors' Choice for affordable Android flagships.

The Google Pixel 7 Pro is one of the best phones of 2022 whose only downside is its cumbersome size and weight (and slightly ugly design unless you disagree with me on that). If you can deal with that, you’ll be very happy with the most versatile and consistent camera setup on a phone, a wonderful display, and the smartest, most useful version of Android. It’s not the most powerful phone you can buy but the Tensor G2 excels at on-device features that differentiate it from other products, while the battery life is genuinely able to stretch to two days. Charging could be faster, though. With security updates till 2027 and a price that firmly undercuts rival brands, the Pixel 7 Pro comes highly recommended. If you want to get many of the same features for less, the regular Pixel 7 is cheaper.

70% Google Pixel 7 Pro review: a well-rounded offering with some caveats
Source: 91mobiles English EN→zh-CN
The Google Pixel 7 Pro starts at Rs 84,999 in India and for the price, the handset is irrefutably expensive. And, while the smartphone does come across as a sound deal, there is more than meets the eye with Google’s latest flagship. For one, I can’t get behind the phone’s ‘fast-charging’ speeds – 23W is simply inexcusable at this price point. And, while the device is rapid and could keep up with my day-to-day, the phone heats up quite a bit too. Lest I forget, the handset isn’t the fastest phone in the segment either and you’ll get more bang for your buck by opting for a Dimensity 9000 or Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1-backed device. Be that as it may, the Pixel 7 Pro is a looker and the device will attract eyeballs left, right and centre. It also helps that the phone comes layered with Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus and is IP68-rated as well. The smartphone’s screen is a treat to look at too and the unit’s triple camera setup will not leave you wanting for more either. The icing on the cake is that the phone will get five years of security updates too.

100% Review: Google Pixel 7 Pro
Source: L&B TechReview English EN→zh-CN
The Google Pixel 7 Pro is the first Pixel phone we’ve had the opportunity to get our hands on. But it’s been worth the wait. Thanks to a rather aggressive pricing of a really excellent phone, there should be a basis for Google to grab a bigger slice of the mobile pie. The screen and three good cameras in particular set the Pixel 7 Pro apart from most competitors at the price. In fact, the OnePlus 10 Pro is the only competitor that comes close to competing on performance for price. And a slightly better telephoto lens and a bunch of (artificially) clever AI features tip the scales in the Pixel’s favour. Google’s latest Pixel devices have put it in Apple’s wake, but Apple devotees are unlikely to choose the Pixel 7 Pro over the iPhone 14 Pro Max for that reason. Which is a shame, as you get comparable quality – but at half the price.

The Google Pixel 7 Pro was announced in October 2022, and the phone arrived with a price tag of $799 (Rs 64,999 in India) approx. For the display section, you will receive the 6.7-inches LTPO AMOLED panel that renders a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1500 nits peak brightness support. On the other hand, you are getting the under-display fingerprint scanner with corning gorilla glass victus protection. Following this, google provides IP68 dust/water resistance too. The Pixel 7 Pro phone runs on the latest Android 13 OS. For the chipset a 5nm – Google Tensor G2 chipset powers the device and can reach up to a 2×2.85 GHz clocking speed at max. 92% Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro review: Still the best bargain in flagship phones
Source: Engadget English EN→zh-CN
When stacking Google’s latest handsets up against the competition, it's best to tackle each phone separately. For the Pixel 7, even without much in the way of new hardware, you're getting a phone with a great screen, even better battery life and one of the best software packages around — now with new perks like an improved Direct My Call and enhanced photo processing. But most importantly, with a starting price of just $599, it's a way better value than the basic flagships from Apple and Samsung. The one drawback is that if you need mmWave 5G, you'll have to go with one of the slightly more expensive $699 carrier models sold by Verizon, AT&T and others. Meanwhile, with a price of $899, the Pixel 7 Pro is like an even more well-equipped version of the S22+ for the same money. You get a big 6.7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a longer 5x zoom and superior camera quality. I also think the Pixel 7 Pro flat-out looks better too. That leaves stuff like an ultra-wide cam that can also shoot macros as a nice cherry on top. Also, if you don't care about stylus support, I'd argue that the Pixel 7 Pro makes a lot more sense than the super expensive S22 Ultra. And I haven’t even touched on Google’s new and improved Real Tone processing mostly because, even though I’m biracial, both sides of my family are lacking in the melanin department, and I just haven’t had time to really put it through its paces. But regardless of which one you prefer, with the Pixel 7 line and Tensor G2, Google is really showing how a software-first approach to phone design can really shine.

Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro hands-on review
Source: GSM Arena English EN→zh-CN
The smaller Pixel 7 feels like a notable downgrade at first, especially in terms of design and feel in hand, but acquits itself well in everyday use thanks to great performance and camera quality, both of which match its elder brother. It is also a fair bit cheaper, which makes up for some of the issues with the design. Overall, the Pixel 7 phones may not seem all that exciting, especially if you already own a Pixel 6 device, but those upgrading from an older model or switching from another brand should find plenty to like on both.

100% Google Pixel 7 Pro Review: Refinement is Key
Source: Android Headlines English EN→zh-CN
The Pixel 7 Pro is a hard one to recommend. Not because it’s a bad phone, but because the Pixel 7 exists. The Pixel 7 has almost everything that the Pro has, minus the telephoto sensor as well as the macro features. Other than that, the two devices are mostly the same. But the Pixel 7 is $300 less, and smaller. So basically, the Pixel 7 Pro is for you, if you want a big phone, with the best camera on the market. If you’re looking for something a bit smaller, you may want to take a look at the Pixel 7. Or if you want something even smaller and save a bit more money, there’s the Pixel 6a too.

90% Pixel 7 Pro Review: Long live the hype
Source: Mobile Syrup English EN→zh-CN
The Pixel 7 Pro is a great handset, and I haven't experienced many issues with the device. The phone features top-of-the-line features and specs that can match it with flagships from any other brand. With a 120Hz refresh rate, 3120 x 1440-pixel resolution, bright screen, 5,000mAh battery, Tensor G2, 12GB of RAM, and great cameras, the Pixel 7 Pro is difficult not to recommend. The Pixel 7 Pro is in the league of the iPhone 14 Pro and S22 Ultra, but it's more affordable than the other flagships at $1,179. MobileSyrup (and I'm sure other tech publications) are only reviewing this handset with less than a week of usage, and while everything seems great so far, Pixel devices typically suffer from issues that appear roughly a month or two after release. So while I'm currently giving this device a 9/10, problems might emerge later that could cause that score to change. The Pixel 7 Pro is an improved Pixel 6 Pro, so I'm hoping that all the bugs have been worked out with last year's model, but we'll have to wait to find out. So if you desperately need a new phone right now and you're using a device like a Pixel 4 and don't have the money to spend on the S22 Ultra, then get the Pixel 7 Pro. However, if you can wait a month or two, I'd recommend doing so. I'll be spending more time with the Pixel 7 Pro in the coming days and will update this story if problems start to occur.

90% Google Pixel 7 Pro Review: The Value Behind The Gimmicks
Source: Slashgear English EN→zh-CN
If you enjoy feeling like you're on the bleeding edge of Google's most experimental features, the Pixel 7 Pro is probably the phone for you. Some of the tech graduates to Android in general, or at least to earlier Pixel phones, but some require the Tensor G2 and will stick with 2022's phones. You can argue the wisdom of that strategy either way, but I do wonder whether it overshadows what I think is most impressive about the Pixel 7 Pro. That's the amount of solid, usable, dependable smartphone you're getting for a mighty competitive price. Even if you never use the fancier camera modes, the Pixel 7 Pro's general talents at photography are more than sufficient to leave it holding its own versus the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Its screen is excellent, its performance top-notch, and its battery life has lasted pretty much all day in my testing. They're arguably table stakes for something wanting flagship branding, but at the same time, a $1k+ price tag has also become the standard for such a phone. Google, instead, undercuts its rivals without leaving the end result feeling cheap or subpar. While access to what's newest in Google's labs is great, what's truly rewarding is the way the Pixel 7 Pro bucks the trend in ever-increasing smartphone pricing, without feeling like it compromises along the way.

Streamlined styling, plentiful performance and dependable battery life make the Pixel 7 Pro another worthy Google flagship, even if it is something of a minor upgrade over last year’s effort. It still impresses on the photography front with pin-sharp zoom and even snapper low-light shooting. The stock Android software is also sure to please purists, and Google gets a big thumbs up from us for price matching the outgoing model, bucking the trend for ever-costlier tech. It still commands considerable cash though (if not nearly as much as the Samsung and Apple alternatives); the Pixel 7 does almost as good a job, while being much more wallet-friendly. Still, fans of bigger, higher refresh rate screens and top-tier telephoto cameras should absolutely go for Pro.

At the end of the day, Google has entered the big leagues and the Pixel 7 Pro is a phone worthy of its place in the smartphone elite. For all else, the Pixel 7 Pro remains an incredible bargain at its price and it's a joy to use, so it gets our enthusiastic thumbs up.
