Considering its price of Rs 17,999, the Honor 8 Lite does quite a few things well. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat with Honor's latest EMUI custom skin on top, which is easy to use. The camera performance is good and the option for complete manual control is helpful. However, if battery life and fast charging are very important to you, you might have to look elsewhere.

The Honor 8 Lite has a long way to go to mimic what the A series do for Samsung. If only Honor threw in fast charging and a slightly more powerful processor, we would have blindly recommended the 8 Lite for everyone, but for now, the style, design and the options in the software give the 8 Lite a saving grace for the ones seriously considering it.

The Honor 8 Lite is an overall decent smartphone for Rs 17,999. The handset boasts of a good-looking design with a premium built. It gets some major things right. Honor has improved upon its ugly UI and now the phone ships with latest Android 7.0 Nougat-based EMUI 5.0 skinned on top. The two cameras are also quite decent, if not brilliant.

We did like the Honor 8 and as far as the design goes, Honor 8 Lite picks up almost everything from its flagship variant. Needless to say, Honor 8 Lite looks very stylish in the hands due to its compact design and glass body. The battery life is the second most thing we like followed by the cameras. The only good thing we will miss in the phone is the dual cameras.

As an overall package, 8 Lite is yet another quality outing from Honor followed Honor 8 and 8 Pro. This device has a mix of everything including a decent processor, good camera, bright display and of course the admirable design. It checks off all the boxes to be a potential mid-ranger. Having said that, it is placed a bit higher in terms of cost for its package. Adding few extra bucks, you can get Honor 8 itself with dual camera setup if not below Rs. 17,990, there are lots of options available as well.

Honor 8 Lite does leave a good impression in the battery, OS and camera department. These three factors does make it one of the potential contenders in the particular price point. Design, to some extent, is decent but nothing that you aren't familiar with. It does come with useful features baked right inside the UI and the obvious new features that come with Android 7.0 Nougat. But not everything is impressive with Honor 8 Lite.

We saw the Honor 8 last year which was pretty impressive for what it offers, but Honor wanted to keep it more affordable for people who already liked the Honor 8 and thus, Honor 8 Lite launched. The most and the obvious reasons why the Honor 8 got a lite variant is the pricing, the Honor 8 Lite is available for ₹17,999. The 20K price bracket seemed to be craving for Honor devices. We got our hands on with the Honor 8 Lite, check it out.

So, if you are looking for a smartphone under 20,000 INR in the offline segment, then Honor 8 Lite is a good option, but if you are looking to make a purchase online, you can get other better value for money smartphones like Honor 6X or Redmi Note 4.

Overall, the Honor 8 Lite has more ticks than crosses. It comes with a compact design language, has an improved UI, gives a good battery backup and has a good camera performance. On the downside, the phone is a fingerprint magnet, looks eerily similar to its elder sibling and shimmers a bit during low light conditions. But overall, it gives a stiff competition to other smartphones including Moto G5 Plus, OppoF3, Vivo V5s, and Gionee A1.

Huawei's Honor 8 Lite was first launched in Finland back in February and it has now made its way to the Indian market. Details of its pricing and availability have not been announced yet, but we do know that it will come in black and blue color options. We got our hands on the smartphone and here are our first impressions.

大尺寸可以让屏幕有更高的分辨率。因而例如字体等的细节将会更丰富。不过另一方面,小屏幕的功耗会较低,而设备也会更轻盈小巧,售价更低。
