莱卡风。 华为的这台P8后续机型押宝在相机之上,同时延续了优异的整体表现。这台吸引眼球的智能手机在机身工艺和电池容量上都更进了一步。不过,它还有一些值得改善的地方。
Huawei P9 review – a smartphone you want to find under the Christmas tree
Source: Laptop Media English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
Even though it was announced in the first half of this year, Huawei P9 has all it takes to be among the best offers on the market. The Chinese manufacturer is right behind Apple and Samsung, and each new smartphone they come up with is bound to trigger our interest. Huawei P9 has a 5.2-inch Full HD display which is more than enough for good image detail. Additionally, we did not record harmful pulsations which means that working with this device will not cause eye fatigue. What is also impressive is the battery performance in all of our durability tests.

I like that there are two models, though the only difference, bar size, is to do with RAM and storage. I also like the effort, attention and innovative nature of the camera aboard both these handsets, and the fact that Huawei has kept the imaging the same on both models (take note, Apple).

Huawei’s P9 is one of the rare smartphones that use Leica branding, which is well known in the photography ecosystem. Aiming for the worldwide number one spot in five years’ time, the company certainly has its work cut out for it and the P9 puts the company on the right track. The Huawei P9 is a perfect example of a smartphone that suggests its not just about the specifications but its how you use what you have. The P9 has possibly the best camera on the market right now and its most definitely the most interesting one since it allows you to be quite creative. The f2.2 aperture seemed inadequate to me but in reality, its more than needed and bests some phones with larger apertures too. The rest of the phone too is top notch and if I would like to change one thing on the phone, it would be the single SIM slot.

The Huawei P9 is a good phone with great looks and an excellent camera, but it isn't quite the all-rounder that other current flagship phones have proven to be. When the Huawei P9 was initially released a few months ago, some complained about its surprisingly high price tag. However, the device can currently be purchased for just under $500, which is a good deal considering the current prices for its competitors. The Galaxy S7 and HTC 10 are both $100 more expensive, while the inferior LG G5 is a similar price. It’s no budget flagship like the OnePlus 3, but the Huawei P9 has enough standout features -- the camera and ergonomic design in particular -- to justify a marginal premium price tag.

The conflict becomes even more confusing with the OnePlus 3 wading into the battle of the 2016 Android handsets. The Samsung Galaxy S7 (along with the S7 Edge) sat atop the Android tree for a long time, but it's becoming increasingly crowded down below. We're perhaps more excited about where Huawei goes from here. If it can build on the leap forward it's made with the P9, improve its modifications to Andriod (or lose them altogether) and get distribution in the US arranged (at a reasonable price), then the P10 should be one to look out for.

There's a lot to like about the Huawei P9, particularly if you focus on its outstanding camera. The Leica-engineered two-camera setup delivers crisp, detailed shots along with several modes that should please more demanding photographers. The trouble is, Samsung's Galaxy S7 phones sport powerful cameras, too — and those devices have enough battery power to put in a full day's work and play. The P9 does some other things well, including its versatile fingerprint sensor, but its subpar endurance means you should consider Android alternatives before you fork over this kind of money.

The P9 costs £449 SIM free and the P9 Plus is £549 inc VAT, which is very reasonable for this calibre of phone. However, you can pick it up for much less if you shop around and buy it in tandem with a PAYG or monthly SIM deal. For instance, pick up a Huawei P9 from O2 along with the PAYG deal of your choice, and the 32GB model is only £370 – that's £110 cheaper than our current favourite phone, the Huawei-built Nexus 6P, and dramatically cheaper than the other high-end smartphone rivals.

There’s certainly a lot to like about the Huawei P9. It’s the best looking phone Huawei has ever made and the attention to detail in its build is commendable. The Huawei P9 is not on the same level as the Samsung Galaxy S7, HTC 10 or LG G5, but it’s pretty close. The one thing that makes the P9 so attractive is that it has the refinement of a flagship smartphone without the hefty cost. When comparing the P9 to other flagships, it’s important to remember the £449 price which makes it considerably cheaper than many of its rivals (but not the identically priced Nexus 6P that's also made by Huawei). Overall, we're impressed with the phone: it's well built, feels good and looks good. The cameras aren't the absolute best out there, it doesn't top the charts in game tests and the screen isn't Quad HD, but these minor quibbles are outweighed not only by the price but also because, unlike the Nexus, the P9 lets you stick in a microSD card to expand the storage. Finally, ‘Magazine Unlock’ brings up a different image every time you see the lockscreen – always making the phone seem fresh, potentially. Though with the speed of fingerprint unlocking via the back sensor, you may never see the images, making the lockscreen itself almost irrelevant. Maybe it will go the way of the app drawer in time? I don’t want to seem too down on the Huawei P9. If this was an Honor device (Huawei’s consumer brand) and put out at £300 then I’d consider it fabulous value for money and a top buy. At £450 (in the UK, including VAT) though, it’s within striking distance of the top tier devices which out-gun it in terms of screen, imaging, speaker, performance, and brand.

All in all, Huawei’s new flagship is a good smartphone. Not a ground-breaking one, but a good one nonetheless. Throughout our testing, we did not come across any major, deal-breaking flaws. The UI ran smoothly, the camera worked fine, and the screen, despite its inaccurate color reproduction, got the job done. The Huawei P9 is an attractive phone with good battery life at a very reasonable price, but it’s let down by camera niggles and the continuing irritation that is EmotionUI. The P9 therefore just misses out on an unconditional recommendation - especially given the strength of the similarly priced competition which includes the less fussy Nexus 5X and6P although those phones are admittedly missing micro SD card slots.

80% Huawei P9 review - the ultimate dual-lens camera?
Source: Expert Reviews English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
For many people, camera quality is right up there with battery life as one of the most important considerations when choosing a new smartphone. In both regards, the Huawei P9 acquits itself well, and its camera performance in particular is very good indeed. If the camera's your main priority, then the Leica collaboration can be considered a success, and Huawei should be commended for trying to innovate, even if the overall execution of the P9 overall doesn't quite deliver. Huawei’s Emotion UI still proves to be a sticking point, however, and the P9’s general performance isn’t particularly stellar, especially around gaming.

Let's get this straight. The camera really is the main draw here and Huawei knows it. You're not going to pick up the Huawei P9 on the merits of its specs. It looks nice, and competes with the grunt of its Samsung, Apple, LG and HTC competitors, going on our test results at least.

Indeed, no part of the Huawei P9 is bad, but annoyances such as the sometimes frustrating software and somewhat derivative design count against it. And, given that this year’s phone actually gets a £100/€100 price hike over last year’s P8, the fact that the dual-camera star of the show is more Celebrity Big Brother than Ryan Reynolds means it doesn't do enough to challenge the absolute best smartphones out there.

Huawei P9 hands-on: this device feels like a camera with a phone attached
Source: Android Authority English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
The Huawei P9 ticks a lot of boxes but somehow seems, even with the Leica camera, to lack a certain “wow” factor. Sure, it’s thin, has a decent sized battery, looks good and improves in multiple ways over its predecessor, but it feels like something is missing. Perhaps the camera is legitimately so good it will revolutionize smartphone photography, but I can’t shake the feeling that the revolution is meant to feel a little more exciting than this.
