Intel 5Y10

Intel Core M-5Y10是一款超低电压(ULV)双核整合芯片,基于Broadwell及足够,在2014年9月发布。由于热设计功率仅4.5W,这款处理器适合于被动散热的平板电脑和二合一笔记本电脑。除了两个支持超线程,运行于0.8-2.0GHz的两个处理器核心,它的芯片中还继承了一个HD Graphics 5300显卡,和一个双通道LPDDR3/DDR3L(-RS)内存控制器,最大带宽25.6GB/s。它采用了14纳米制程和FinFET晶体管技术。


Core M-5Y10支持“TDP降设”到可选的4.0W热设计功率,但相似的5Y10a型号则不支持。


架构


Broadwell是Intel的滴答模式中的“滴”,这意味着它是基于前代Haswell架构进行了制程缩减。新的14纳米支撑技术配合三维FinFET晶体管技术不仅提高了能效,也帮助芯片尺寸得到了明显减小,让设备可以更加紧凑。


其他的优势来自于Broadwell在系统微架构上面的改进。由于在分支预测上得到了优化,加上采用了更大的缓存容量(L2 TLB中1500个条目相比前代的1000个)和其他的优化,它的单位时钟频率性能相比前代产品有了超过5%的提升。它同样提供了为加密应用设计的一些新指令集的支持。


性能


Core M-5Y10在时钟频率上有很大的加速范围,从0.8到2.0GHz;它的实际运行频率很大程度上取决于热设计功率的限制。尽管这款处理器在短时间的测试中与Core i5-4202Y(Haswell架构,11.5W)相当,但在长时间的负载下,它的性能将开始下降。相应的,Broadwell的更高能效的设计目的也在于降低功耗而非提高性能表现。


整体上,Core M-5Y10的性能足够办公和多媒体用途的需求,也可以满足大型应用程序的性能需要。


图形


集成的HD Graphics 5300提供了24个执行单元(EU),运行于100到850MHz。与处理器核心相似的是,它的显卡架构(Intel Gen 8)也在单位时钟频率性能上得到了改进。不过,这款显卡的运行频率同样由热设计功率限制,这会影响到它相比较老的HD 4200在持续3D负载下的性能优势。2014年的最新游戏可以在低设定和XGA分辨率下运行。


Broadwell是Intel的第一块全面支持DirectX 11.2和OpenCL 1.3/2.0与OpenGL 4.3的芯片。它的原生视频信号可以通过DisplayPort 1.2或HDMI 1.4a输出。不过,它并不支持最新的HDMI 2.0标准。


功耗


Core M-5Y10的热设计功率仅为4.5W(可降低到4.0W),它的功耗远低于Haswell架构的Y系列处理器(11.5W)。这款处理器可以通过被动散热使用于轻薄平板中。
