Reviews for the Motorola Edge 2023

70% Motorola Edge (2023) Review
Source: PC Mag English EN→zh-CN
The 2023 Motorola Edge is a competent midrange phone with plenty of standard storage, loud speakers, an excellent display, and super-fast charging, but it falls short of the Google Pixel 8 in terms of battery life, camera quality, and software support. Those flaws shouldn't prevent you from considering the Edge, however, since it retails for less and is often available at a deep discount (we've seen it for as low as $349.99, making it a terrific deal). Motorola fans who want it all, meanwhile, should consider the more well-rounded Edge+ for $200 more.

70% Motorola Edge (2023) review: Should you buy it?
Source: Android Authority English EN→zh-CN
Video tops out at 4K and 30fps. I was surprised at how passable the video was; the 4K video is sharp and relatively bright. However, the 30fps is dismal at this price point. You’ll probably still get better overall results with 1080p video, which supports 60fps, as it looks much smoother. Despite some blemishes, the 2023 Edge is a solid offering from Motorola, and the price is palatable at $600. The soft faux leather on the back is a refreshing change from the sea of glass slabs, and it’s nice to use a big phone that isn’t enormously heavy. If you don’t mind the camera weaknesses, some pesky bloatware, and you’re not worried about timely software updates, this could be a solid option. It’s a reliable, lightweight device that won’t break the bank or your back.

65% Motorola Edge 2023 review: so stylish!
Source: Phone Arena English EN→zh-CN
Again, at full price, we can't see how the Edge 2023 can win against its contemporaries. It may turn out that it will either be discounted often, or its official price will drop in a short while. That said, let's assume you pick up the Motorola Edge 2023 for $350 — the price it's listed at right now, during the Black Friday deals period. At that price point, it's a pretty fair ask! Yes, the camera is mediocre by today's standards, and it's not a gaming device. But the style it oozes, the beautiful screen, the fast charging, and the speakers — they are good. Use it as an essential handset and it will serve you very well for your $350!

75% Moto Edge (2023) review: It's complicated
Source: Android Police English EN→zh-CN
I don’t think anyone who buys the Motorola Edge will walk away disappointed. There was never a point in testing where I wanted to run back into the arms of a flagship device. But these phones don’t exist in a vacuum. The Moto Edge can be a reasonable effort and still not be the right choice for many people — they aren’t mutually exclusive. If you’re a fan of stock Android but turn your nose up at Pixel phones, the Moto Edge is worth a look. It has solid performance, good battery life, a decent camera, and a sleek design — but it’s missing features that would make it a slam dunk at $600 or even $500. When it’s so easy to talk yourself into another relationship, is it really worth settling?

80% Moto Edge 2023 Review: A premium mid-ranger with an emphasis on premium
Source: Android Headlines English EN→zh-CN
The Moto Edge 2023 has the misfortune of Being the less premium sibling to another phone. Because of this, it’s so easy to think of it as a low-powered or low-performing device. It would either push people to opt for the more expensive sibling or just ditch the line altogether. However, the Moto Edge 2023 is one of those phones that make you forget that you’re using an affordable device. Whenever I pick up the phone and feel the heft in the hand, look at that beautiful display, or observe the smooth performance, it never dawns on me that I’m using the cheaper version of a flagship handset. Just about every aspect from the display to the speakers to the performance to the build quality all betray this phone’s price. I didn’t feel like I was getting a below Flagship level experience, I felt like I was getting a true-to-form flagship experience. Don’t get me wrong, as this phone does have its flaws. They are few, but most of them manifest in the camera performance.

70% Motorola Edge (2023) Review: Better Feel, Decent Power
Source: Slashgear English EN→zh-CN
The Motorola Edge is a well-rounded device, with an excellent display, great battery life, and an acceptable camera system. The device had no issues keeping up with everyday tasks like web browsing and a few games. The battery more than held its own and the back of the device remained cool to the touch. The only thing that lets it down is Motorola's track record with software updates — and the tough competition at the $600 price point. If you can find this device on sale, then it has the potential to be an absolute steal. Without the sale, something like the Pixel 7a is going to be a better buy for the money — and a better all-around device that takes better photos. If you want to spend the equivalent, the newly announced Pixel 8 is going to easily best the Motorola Edge. If you love Motorola, want a phone that feels great in your hand, and aren't worried about software updates, then the Motorola Edge 2023 is a fantastic device.

80% Motorola Edge (2023) Review: The Right Compromises
Source: Nextpit EN English EN→zh-CN
The Motorola Edge (2023) is probably the better alternative for many in the brand's 2023 lineup, although the Edge+ (2023) is also a good deal at just under 800 dollars. However, the base model costs quite a bit less in Europe, offering a good compromise compared to the concessions. However, it remains to be seen how the US model will be priced... Motorola offers a solid MediaTek Dimensity 8020 in the Edge (2023), which is probably a souped-up Dimensity 1100 processor, but still sufficient for daily applications. In addition, there is a 6.55-inch display with a very good resolution and a dual camera that digitally stores pictures that are appropriate for the times. The 4,400 mAh battery will certainly get you through the day—rather, over two days. Haptically, the lightweight is pleasing all along the line.
