摩托罗拉新款顶级手机最重要的特点是:时尚。新颖的配色、经过潘通认证的屏幕和摄像头颜色,以及大量的定制选项,都让这款手机适合每个用户。但它的内部构造是否同样令人印象深刻呢?

There’s a very specific cohort for whom the Motorola Edge 50 Pro is perfect: anyone after a cheap telephoto camera phone will find this to be one of the most affordable options around. Along with that, you’re getting an excellent display, nippy fast charging and plenty of storage space. If you aren’t fussed about telephoto shooters, however, I can’t recommend you buy the Motorola Edge 50 Pro. The rest of the camera suite has some wobbles and the performance sacrifices are simply too steep considering the price being asked. Most people will be better off picking up a Google Pixel 8a, instead – the charging speeds and internal storage aren’t as good, but the display is equally fantastic and performance, battery life, software support and general camera quality are all superior.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is an impressive mid-range specimen that looks to break free of the commonplace look of similarly priced alternatives, offering a lightweight design in attractive finishes and colour options to suit most tastes. It’s more than just a looker, however; the 144Hz 1.5K OLED screen is fast and detailed, ideal for both gaming and doom-scrolling on TikTok, it goes from flat to full in just 20 minutes with 125W charging (and a charger in the box no less), plus its near-stock approach to Android 14 is a refreshing change too. The camera setup is another highlight; despite using the same main camera as last year’s Edge 40, it remains an impressive arrangement for the price point with a wide f/1.4 aperture that gives close-ups a natural bokeh, and the inclusion of a 3x telephoto camera at the £599 price point is a rarity.

The middle child of the Motorola Edge 50 family packs quite a punch for being a slightly watered down version of the 50 Ultra. My only complaints are with its low light performance, a lag when it processes images and the curved screen, but the screen problem might not bother everyone and can be fixed with a phone case that can give you more of a grip on it. As someone who regularly uses her phone for creating social content, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro is one I’d consider, particularly for shooting portraits and quality video.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is a great phone at a reasonable price, offering much more than some of its competitors. I believe it’s perhaps one of the best smartphones in its price range. You get an excellent display, a vibrant design, wireless charging, IP68-rated protection, and a very good camera. The Edge 50 Pro is also one of the most aesthetically pleasing phones in its class on the market, and its software and charging capabilities are among the best. The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is a great addition to the modern phone market, offering excellent performance and connectivity features, as well as high-end capabilities at a moderate price.

Among a large number of similar smartphones, it's always nice to find something with an original design, even if it's just a more interesting back cover. And when the device is also generally capable of providing good performance, it will give competitors a headache. Actually, this can be said about the motorola edge 50 pro - it's a good smartphone. Yes, it has some flaws, such as plastic on the body, controversial issues with cameras, or the lack of Always-On Display. But its price is less than half of the market leaders. Therefore, if you are looking for a good smartphone with a non-standard appearance, this is a good option.

Whether it deserves the Pro designation or not (it probably doesn’t), the Motorola Edge 50 Pro is one of the most aesthetically pleasing mid-range phones on the market, while its display, software, and charging provisions are among the best. You can get better cameras, performance, and battery life for the money if those are important to you.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is a great phone and, given the user experience and specs, what you get matches well to the €699 price tag. This is about what you can expect from a high-tier mid-range phone in 2024. The only major issue we have with the Edge 50 Pro is that it comes with only 3 years of Android updates. Most phone manufacturers now offer at least 4 years, which is what the Galaxy S23 FE from Samsung comes with. Speaking of the Galaxy S23 FE, it is probably the best competition to the Edge 50 Pro, with a chipset that is even more capable (despite being two generations old by now), also rocking a triple camera system at the back, and the ability to shoot at 4K 60fps. The Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 inside the Motorola, however, prevails in many gaming-related cases. Also, there’s the 125W wired and 50W wireless charging with the Edge 50 Pro vs the 25/15W on the Galaxy.

The Pro isn't the top model in the Motorola Edge lineup this time around, but it nicely slots in below flagship territory. It offers a very capable camera setup for stills with a main camera that's a champion at light gathering, a 3x zoom camera in a segment where dedicated zoom cameras are rare and an ultrawide that's got autofocus and puts it to good use. And then it tops it all off with some excellent selfies for good measure. Check out our video review to learn ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW about the phone's top features, build and screen quality, battery life, performance, and camera image quality.

The Pro isn't the top model in the Motorola Edge lineup this time around, but it nicely slots somewhere below flagship territory. Even with the remarkably-specced Ultra, the Edge 50 Pro still manages to offer a very capable camera setup for stills - a champion at light gathering of a main camera is joined by a solid telephoto in a segment where dedicated zoom cameras are rare and an ultrawide that's got autofocus and puts it to good use. And then it tops it all off with some excellent selfies for good measure. Motorola says it's big on experiences and transcending the specs wars, which is convenient when the chipset isn't winning any. But the newly renamed Hello UI is a sizable chunk of the experience with an Edge 50 Pro and it's a nice blend of the visual simplicity of 'stock' Android and the personality and functionality that Motorola has built and continued to develop on top of it. All things considered, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro may just be worth a recommendation - with a medium-sized asterisk about regional pricing and market context.

I’m a fan of the Motorola Edge 50 Pro’s sleek styling, eye-catching colour options, and how quickly it can gulp down power when plugged into a mains socket. But I don’t think it’s the flagship-baiter that the previous generation could claim to be. That’s not to say it’s lacking performance, or has particularly meagre battery life – more that rivals have superior silicon and larger capacity cells for the same sort of cash. The Pantone partnership hasn’t delivered cameras that significantly outsnap the competition, either. Image quality is decent rather than spectacular, and the app is particularly sluggish. Phone photographers only need to spend a little more to get a better shooting experience. If you’re sold on the looks, there’s nothing here I’d consider a dealbreaker – though the abundance of well-rounded rivals at the £599/€699 mark means it doesn’t quite earn that Pro moniker. I fully expect it’ll prove more successful in other territories, where pricing is much keener.

Reviewing the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, a fresh 2024 Moto flagship sporting a triple lens camera with Pantone colour correction, slick leathery design and Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 smarts. But can the Motorola Edge 50 Pro compete with the best smartphones like the Nothing Phone 2 around this £599 price? And should you consider the Edge 50 Ultra instead? Well, the performance is sadly limited compared with some close rivals. Gaming on Genshin Impact is a smooth enough experience, but I saw some lag using the cameras.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is a great phone that's competitively priced. However, in some areas, you may be better off purchasing other phones. For example, if you want better performance, you could opt for the Oppo Reno 11 Pro (Review). However, it lacks an IP rating and wireless charging and offers similar camera performance. Then there's the Vivo V30, which offers slightly better camera performance and the same chipset. However, it lacks wireless charging and a few other features. Motorola Edge 50 Pro offers a lot more features than some of its competitors. I honestly think that this is probably one of the best smartphones in the price segment. The cameras aren't amazing, but they're not bad, and you get usable sensors. The display is excellent, you get a standout design, wireless charging, an IP68 rating, and a lot more. The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is on the edge of greatness and is definitely one of the best mid-range phones you can buy today.

Priced at Rs 35,999 for the top-end model, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro is as a well-rounded smartphone catering to diverse user preferences. Its standout features, including the 144Hz refresh rate display, AI-enhanced camera system, rapid wired and wireless charging, and top-tier protection against water and dust, provide a competitive edge over its counterparts. However, the device is not without flaws, notably in its imaging capabilities. The Edge 50 Pro may not be a flagship, but it feels close to a premium smartphone. I feel this phone combines AI, a powerful processor, and speedy RAM to deliver a great mobile device under Rs 35,000. Yes, its AI-enhanced cameras are also respectable but don’t come close to the iPhone 15 and Pixel 8. I would like to see more Gen AI features on the Edge 50 Pro in the future via a software update. That would make the Edge 50 Pro a lot more interesting device than what it is today. Maybe phone companies need the magic of AI to differentiate their devices from others.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is a nearly perfect mid-range smartphone. For the features on offer such as IP68 dust and water resistance, 50 W wireless charging, and a 144 Hz pOLED display, it has been priced competitively starting at merely ₹31,999. The Motorola Edge 50 Pro also has one of the most gorgeous designs on the market in its price segment – the colour-matched aluminium frame, the soft vegan back, and the delightful colour choices make it a treat for the eyes. You also get a colour-accurate display, decent performance, and super fast 125 W charging speeds. However, the camera experience is a chink in its armour. The camera array, while impressive, hasn’t been tuned exceptionally well leading to some issues with skin tones and general colour reproduction. The Motorola ‘Edge’ series of smartphones is something special.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is poised to be the smartphone to beat in the sub-Rs 35,000 segment as of now. The handset makes a compelling case for itself with its premium and flagship-grade specifications, such as a reliable telephoto camera and 50W wireless charging, typically found on smartphones priced a notch higher. The overall day-to-day performance of the device remains on par with its competitors. However, the Motorola smartphone surpasses its closest rivals, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ (review) and Vivo V30 (review), with its vibrant 144Hz refresh rate display, 125W fast charging speeds, clean software experience, and striking IP68-certified design. Overall, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro with its competitive pricing remains a strong contender within the segment.

In my limited time with the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, it’s been hard not to be impressed by the hardware. It looks good, performs well, and includes a range of features you can’t find in alternatives. What’s not to like? It isn’t perfect, though, as the promised software upgrade support comes across as lackluster at just three major upgrades. It’s also a bit pricey, starting at Rs 31,999 (~$383), and going up to Rs 35,999 (~$431). In the US, it may not compete well with the likes of the upcoming Pixel 8a.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro comes with a 4,500mAh battery, and the 12GB RAM variant, which we're reviewing, gets a 125W TurboCharger in the box. The 8GB RAM variant will get a slower 68W charger. The phone charges super fast with the 125W charger, and you also get 50W wireless charging support. At a starting price of Rs. 31,999, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro seems like an easy recommendation. However, we suggest waiting for our full review to decide whether to go for the new Edge 50 Pro or choose one of its alternatives, such as the recently launched Nothing Phone 2a (Review).

The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is compelling as a whole package as the device delivers premium features. Although the processor is not top-tier, I feel it’s a combination of innovative design, powerful performance, advanced camera features, and some vibrant AI features. The device is ideal for those looking for a flagship experience at an accessible price. The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is a solid smartphone.

The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is a great choice if you want a phone that looks good and performs well. Its wooden design makes it stand out from other phones, and the large 6.7-inch screen displays vibrant colours and clear pictures. With a powerful processor and plenty of storage, it can handle multiple tasks and games without slowing down. The battery lasts a full day and charges quickly. Additional features like AI-generated wallpapers and water resistance make it a great value. Having said that, the Edge 50 Ultra’s camera may not perform well in low light and there are some issues with image processing across different camera modes. The latter however seems fixable via an OTA update.

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is a good option for some looking for a sleek and lightweight smartphone under the price range of Rs.60000. The design, sturdiness and overall looks of the smartphone are impressive and eye-catching. Additionally, you can easily carry out your day-to-day tasks without facing any challenges, making it an ideal option. However, the camera lacks the hype and came out to be an average smartphone in terms of photography.

The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra can be a good buy for anyone with a sub-Rs 60,000 budget looking for an all-rounder. While it may not match the processing power of the iQOO 12 or the camera capabilities of the Pixel 8, it stands out with its premium design, excellent display quality, and versatile cameras. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 ensures snappy performance, though not at flagship levels. Battery life is decent, and charging speeds are impressively fast. The AI features, while not revolutionary, keep the phone current. The software experience rivals that of the Pixels, though support could be more robust.

Overall, the Moto Edge 50 Ultra is a complete flagship smartphone. That too, at just Rs 54,999. Apart from the good display, performance, software, and camera, we are also getting all the premium features like IP68, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, wireless charging, and more. The smartphone also scores well in our AI tests and comes with enough AI features to keep up with the trend. So last two generations of Motorola’s Edge series of smartphones have made quite a mark in the smartphone space. The Edge 40 series from last year, and the Moto Edge 50 series of this year, both have been critically acclaimed across the consumer tech landscape. Since I didn’t get a chance to review or experience any of the Moto Edge 40 smartphones last year, I thought I’ll see what the hype is about with the Moto Edge 50 Ultra.

Motorola has produced a competitive flagship phone with a stellar design, strong camera, rapid charging, and beautifully clean software. There are some slight drawbacks with performance and battery life, and it’s technically more expensive than its predecessor, but this is otherwise a strong alternative to the usual flagship crowd.

The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is certainly one of the better-looking flagship phones on the market with unique finishes and colour options, complete with a thin and light design that makes it a pleasure to hold and use. That’s backed up by a 6.67-inch OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate that delivers smooth everyday performance, though the lack of LTPO tech present in practically all competitors at the £849 price point is a disappointment, especially when combined with the fact there’s no AOD functionality. Performance is pretty solid from the Snapdragon 8S Gen 3 chipset and a healthy 16GB RAM, handling both everyday tasks and gaming with ease, though the latter did make the smartphone uncomfortably warm after around 20 minutes of demanding gameplay.

At the end of the day, with the Edge 50 Ultra, Motorola has made a flagship that is cheaper than the competition and that offers good value for the money, but with some quirks you should know about. You get a triple camera system, you get the fast charging, you get more RAM and storage than you might ever need. You also get a phone with a stand-out and quite sleek design. To arrive at that lower price, Motorola has used a slightly less powerful chipset, but one that seems to be very power efficient. Unless you are a gamer who wants the best in performance, you probably should not be bothered by this. The camera system is also not quite the best one we have seen, and especially the ultra-wide camera and video quality take a hit.

Unboxing the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, Moto's latest flagship smartphone boasting a fast-charging battery, triple lens camera setup and Pantone design. Gaming on Genshin Impact etc seems smooth on the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, despite the lesser Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, vs rivals like Samsung's Galaxy S24 Ultra. You've got the usual stock Android setup here, with the Moto app adding some nifty bonus tools. The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra has a dedicated gaming mode and user-friendly camera experience, with Pantone colour approval. You've also got a 4500mAh battery with 125w charging (and 50w wireless charging). Stick around for my full review of the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra to see how the battery life and camera hold up against rival phones like the S24 Ultra and Pixel 8 Pro. I've got my SIM inside, testing it as my full time smartphone as usual - so far, so good! Although I don't think the optics are as good as the Pixel or Samsung's effort, but more on that soon....

The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is a powerful smartphone and one that is incredibly easy to like. Be it wooden or eco-leather, the Edge 50 Ultra's exterior is a showstopper, and it may seal the deal for many. Then we have a superb 144Hz OLED, a powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, impressive speakers, amazing photo quality, long battery life, and 125W fast charging. Not everything is peachy, of course. The phone does throttle and heats up fast, and let's not forget the largely unimpressive video recording quality.

The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is definitely looking good, especially with those different back panel materials it comes in and the thin formfactor. The curved display is not for everybody, though, but it also wouldn't be an proper "Edge" phone if it didn't include that. We are happy to see the importance Motorola has placed onto the camera system, which sounds like a potentially very capable one, especially if we were to speculate based on the Edge 50 Pro's camera performance. You also get quite the capable chipset inside, which is doesn't match the competition from Samsung exactly, but should offer more power-efficiency instead. The one issue—and it isn't a small one—that we have with the Edge 50 Ultra is that it only comes with 3 years of Android updates. Now, granted, if you don't plan on owning the phone for any longer than that, then maybe you wouldn't mind this setback.

As always, it's a bit early to tell whether the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is a good buy, but we can say it's definitely a promising one. It has all the bells and whistles of a true flagship phone while starting at €999, which is considered affordable in today's flagship segment. With time, the price will trend down, and the handset will become an even more enticing option. In any case, despite the promising hardware, a full review will reveal whether the 4,500 mAh battery will be enough for dependable endurance and it's going to be interesting to see how the new camera system will fare against the competition. The Moto Edge 50 Ultra is expected to come to market by the end of May and a lot could change in that timeframe.

There’s a lot to like about the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, especially the soft design and various finishes. Looks aren’t everything though, and the phone needs to impress elsewhere to make it a better pick when the competition is so strong. None of the AI features really stood out for me during my initial time with the phone, with most of them simply rebranded existing skills, but this could change over time. There are still questions to be answered about the camera too – a weak point of many previous Motorola devices.

Even after a short taster, it’s clear Motorola has picked a niche for the Edge 50 Ultra. It’s got plenty of high-end hardware, but not to the extent that other Ultra-badged phones do. At €999, it’s closer competition to the Google Pixel 8 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S24+. Style-wise I think it comfortably competes, especially the Nordic Wood version, and it has them both beaten on charging speeds. Performance should be almost level, and the display is up to par too. Battery life is an unknown, and Motorola’s software additions aren’t quite as head-turning as Samsung’s Galaxy AI, though. Ultimately how well those rear cameras perform will dictate whether it can earn a place among flagship rivals.

I wish I could give the Moto Edge two ratings because it’s a tale of two phones. If you’re forced to pay $550, I’m giving the Edge a 7 out of 10, but if you’re lucky enough to get it on sale for around $400, it’s an 8 out of 10. Aside from its display, the Moto Edge hasn’t stood out to me again this year. Thankfully, Motorola devices make for great carrier deals, so it's decent value for $3 a month through your cell provider. Otherwise, I’d look towards one of the many impressive smartphone options available for $550.

There is a lot to like with the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion. Granted yes there are some small bug bites being the camera and pictures taken in low light, but also not having expandable memory to lack of a 3.5mm audio – which for me isn’t a make or break issue but for some there could be alongside missing wireless charging which again isn’t a make or break issue for me, The Edge 50 Fusion does offer some pretty great specs for a relatively great price. I do like that Motorola are pushing the bounds a bit more with their devices and absolutely love the QR transfer from your old device to your new device and I hope this makes its way to many other devices because it’s just brilliant. Certainly I would say the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is worthy of consideration if you’re in the market for a new device that won’t break the bank.

The Motorola Edge Gen 5, or to be precise, Motorola Edge (2024) is an exceptional mid-range smartphone. But is the phone able to justify the price point? Well, the Edge 2024 is undoubtedly a great update from last year’s Edge 2023 phone. You are getting almost everything if you are a casual user. The smartphone looks expensive compared to the price. Yet, it might not be the first choice for gamers and photography enthusiasts. However, a certain level of gaming and camera results is achievable with the hardware and software combination. But if you are looking for a value-for-money deal right now, then you should check out the Google Pixel 8A instead. It will bring an impeccable configuration of display, battery, beautiful camera, and performance.

The fact that a lot of my criticisms here are that certain elements are merely okay, rather than outstanding, says a lot about the Edge 50 Fusion. The general build, display and battery life all speak to a much more premium phone, while the performance and camera quality may not be as impressive but are still very respectable. The argument could be made that anyone with a more flexible spending limit should consider pushing a little higher and picking up our favourite mid-range phone, the Google Pixel 8a. The cameras are better, you get access to Gemini AI and software support is more extensive. If, however, you’ve got a strict budget of £400, I’m struggling to find any alternatives that will serve you better than the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion: it’s a whole lot of phone for a very tempting price.

The 2024 version of the Motorola Edge is a great all-rounder and we were left happy with it for the most part. That being said, it does not offer that much more than its predecessor besides incremental improvements to the performance, a brighter display, and a much longer battery life. It would be much easier to recommend the new Edge if it came with at least 3 years of major OS updates, but 2 years is almost shameful for a phone that costs a little over $500. And there's also the fact that you have some great alternatives to the Edge (2024) that offer just as much if not more for a similar or even slightly lower price tag. For example, you have something like the OnePlus 12R, which beats the Motorola Edge (2024) in terms of charging and battery life by no small margin.

Ok, so with everything I just talked about, this phone, the Moto Edge 50 Fusion for a starting price of 23,000, is definitely an excellent package with a gorgeous design, superb display, acceptable performance, battery life, and “not-so-optimized cameras” but still good enough for the price! The no. 2 problem with Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is stock availability! The one I have with me is a review unit, and I was able to get it before the launch, but if you want to buy the Edge 50 Fusion right now, after more than 1 month of its launch, the stock is just not there. So, I think these are the things Moto has got to improve because I see real potential here! In fact, Motorola has currently entered the Top 10 Android smartphone brands in India, with over 100% growth in 2023.

The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion repeats the performance it has put together on previous devices at this level, offering a broad range of skills for the money. Only those moments of touch-responsiveness gave me cause for concern, otherwise this is a good-looking phone, boosted by the addition of IP68 protection, and a good display for the price. There's sufficient performance to not leave you feeling like you're missing out, the bloatware is irritating but can be removed, leaving mostly a clean Android operating system experience. The cameras are good enough, while not offering all the bells and whistles that you'll get from a flagship device, but you're paying a third of the money here.

The Motorola Edge 2024 is a disappointing combination of excellent design and poor performance, coming in at a price that simply doesn't justify what you get. The slow processor affects too many things to make this a truly good experience and feels like a downgrade from 2023's excellent Motorola Edge line in nearly every way. It's a shame too because the design truly is superb.

If there was one smartphone lineup that really surprised me last year, it was the Motorola Edge. Last year’s Motorola Edge and Edge Plus handsets both stood out as very solid options, with the former being a good higher-end midrange phone, while the latter was an excellent full-fledged flagship. Naturally, I’ve been looking forward to seeing what Motorola will do with the Edge series in 2024. The Motorola Edge (2024) is the first Edge phone to launch in the U.S. this year.

The Honor 200 Pro isn't quite a one-trick pony — it has a lot going for it. But the one area that really stands out has to be photography, and specifically portrait photography. That's not for everyone, that's for sure, but it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that this is one of the best portrait photography phones I have ever used. What's funny about that is, I'm not so sure it's for the reason that Honor thinks it is. Honor wants to tell you it's really good for one reason, and even hosted myself and other media in Paris to show me that reason. In the meantime, my testing has shown that it's for a similar yet distinctly different reason, and we will get to all of that. I have been using an Honor 200 Pro review sample provided by Honor for one week, and this is my full review.

The 2024 Motorola Edge has an appealing design and excellent battery life, but it's otherwise an unexciting retread. The display remains unchanged, performance is no faster, and the upgraded camera doesn't result in better photos. The Google Pixel 8a is the better buy for most people—it's more powerful, has sharper cameras, and promises more software updates over time. When you consider the fact that it also costs less, it's no surprise that it's our Editors' Choice.

There aren't a lot of bad things we would say about the Edge 50 Fusion from Motorola. It will leave most users happy with its impressive camera system, flagship-level display and powerful chipset. It even comes with outstanding water and dust resistance. Even some of its strongest competition, like the Galaxy A35 5G, cannot hold a candle to it, with only one year more of software support and a glass back panel as the two main benefits. Well, there's also the somewhat better battery life. But even if we have to address the worst part about the Edge 50 Fusion, which is its disappointing battery life, the fact that it comes with 68W of fast charging elevates that issue for the most part.

Forget the annoying name change – the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is a direct follow-up to the Motorola Edge 40 Neo, and a very strong one at that. It arguably doesn’t take quite enough of a step forward for the extra £50 Motorola is asking, with similar performance, a slightly larger body and dropped HDR10 support. However, it benefits from a sleek design and a nice 144Hz pOLED display. The camera is capable of taking speedy and vibrant shots, battery life is excellent, and it’s generally a thoroughly pleasant phone to live with day to day.

The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is undoubtedly a gorgeous device through and through. It is exquisitely made, and even though the bill of materials is not what would conventionally be considered particularly "premium," everything looks and feels very nice and falls into place. The IP68 ingress protection is also a great bonus to have. The display on the Edge 50 Fusion is also very solid through and through, perhaps with the exception of the lack of HDR support. We have nothing but praise for the hybrid stereo setup. The camera performance is pretty solid all around, too. We have to say that the biggest weak point on the Edge 50 Fusion specs sheet is probably the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. It doesn't offer ample performance in the CPU or GPU departments.

Thanks to its fruitful partnership with Pantone, Motorola has become a master of design over the past few years in the smartphone industry. The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is a standout device under ₹25,000, offering a luxurious design, decent performance, and impressive camera capabilities. However, its 144 Hz display, while bright and fluid, lacks HDR support, which might disappoint content enthusiasts. The Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor handles daily tasks well but falls short in gaming compared to competitors like the OnePlus Nord CE4 and Nothing Phone (2a). The camera setup is a highlight, particularly the 50 MP primary and 32 MP selfie cameras, which deliver vibrant and sharp images. Battery life is serviceable with a 5,000 mAh cell and 68 W fast charging, though power users may need to recharge by evening.

The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is designed to be a cheaper alternative to the more premium [[Motorola Edge 50 Ultra]] and Motorola managed to achieve that more or less. The display of the smartphone has extremely less bezels with uniform bezels on the top and chin. The display is also equally premium and is also protected by Gorilla Glass. The camera and battery performance are also quite impressive. On top of all these, the smartphone is protected from dust and water. All these things make it an excellent phone for the price it asks for. However, there’s a con as well and it has to do with the chipset. The performance of the chipset is decent but could have been better, especially in gaming performance. Don’t get us wrong. The gaming performance is good, but other smartphones in the same price range offer a better chipset, which provides better performance.

Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is a handset that you should consider if you’re looking for a phone with a stylish and lightweight design, captivating display, decent performance, and capable primary camera setup. The phone ticks a lot of right boxes but it is hard to place it in any category as there are some better performers in each of the categories that it is good at within this price segment – OnePlus Nord CE4, Nothing Phone (2a), and Infinix GT 20 Pro. If you’re looking for a phone with better battery backup, you can go for Nord CE4, and if you’re more inclined towards gaming, GT 20 Pro should be a good choice. Having said that, as an overall package, the Motorola phone might be a good choice for those who want a clean UI, a slim and lightweight design, and a smooth, 144Hz display.

As this year’s entry point to the Edge range, the Fusion appears to get plenty right on first inspection. It looks and feels like a pricier phone, the display is especially easy on the eyes, and there’s a sizeable battery underneath that should translate to plenty of time away from the mains. Performance is a bit of an unknown right now, although the same chipset has proved perfectly capable in rival phones on sale for a similar price. I’ll want to take a closer look at image quality to see how it stacks up against the €349 competition, as processing has been a Motorola weak spot in the past. As affordable all-rounders go, though? The Edge 50 Fusion is shaping up to be quite the contender.
