Reviews for the Motorola Moto G04
Moto G04 是一款非常经济实惠的智能手机,适合那些只想随身携带、想买第二部手机或花钱谨慎的人。130美元左右的价格并不能满足你对功能的要求,但也许摩托罗拉有自己的王牌呢?

For what it is, the Moto G04 doesn’t actively do too much wrong; most aspects fall into the realm of “acceptable” and there’s even the odd bright spot such as a wealth of user-friendly features and decent battery life. Even the things I didn’t love about it – performance, cameras and display quality – are all understandable sacrifices at this price. If the Moto G04 was getting even a single OS update, I might have been tempted to recommend it above the G13, purely to hop up to Android 15. As it is, however, there’s simply not enough here to justify this phone existing. If you want a bargain cheap phone, I’d spend the extra few pounds and pick up the Moto G13 – battery life may be a little weaker, but it surpasses the G04 in every other way, offering much better value for your money.

Motorola’s Moto G04 is a well-priced handset for those who know exactly what they want in a phone. Its fingerprint sensor and NFC technology work as intended, making it easy to pay while out and about. In the case of the Moto G04, budget doesn’t mean boring, either. It’s a nice-looking phone that comes in various vibrant colours and a stylish design that belies its affordable status. This is ultimately a device aimed at first-time users and older generations who just need the basics.

The Motorola G04 makes good on its promise to be a cheap and capable media machine. Its paired-down specifications help the large battery power through the day. More convenient charging would have been a nice bonus, but find the time to juice it back up and it’s a non-issue. Where it falters is in the screen department. It’s large and colourful enough for the price, but it struggles in bright conditions, which can quickly invalidate the desire to watch shows or read books while out and about. Relatively poor viewing angles can make getting comfy with a movie a little tricky, too: especially with more than one person. Still, at £89.99, it’s hard to judge the Motorola G04 too harshly. It’s an absolute bargain for what it is: it just struggles to stand out as the media device the marketing would have you believe. A second-hand Sony Xperia 10 V would be a better option, with TCL and Xiaomi both offering tighter devices at not too much higher a price. It’s a great budget handset, but not a brilliant lifestyle device.

The Moto G04 is available from the Motorola site for £89/€129 as well as Amazon and Currys, but it doesn’t seem to be heading to the USA. At this price, there aren’t too many rivals that can compete. There’s the Nokia C32, which does have a similar spec sheet, albeit with a larger pixel count on its 50Mp main camera. Another option, with a name close to that of the Nokia, is the Realme C35, which you can pick up for around £150 and comes with a Full HD display and a decent main camera. Motorola also has its own alternatives, including the Moto G13 that offers additional cameras for around £129, but I think the G04 is the better device overall.

The Moto G04 presents a compelling option for its asking price, offering a near-stock Android experience and an acceptable performance for regular day-to-day tasks. Additionally, the handset boasts a clean design, offers a comfortable grip, and is IP52-certified against minor water splashes. While the camera quality is adequate, it may not satisfy photography enthusiasts. If that’s your priority, the itel A70 is worth checking out. Its 13MP AI camera captures slightly better images with vibrant colours (although boosted), and better dynamic range than its counterpart. However, the A70’s performance might be somewhat restrictive given it only comes with 4GB RAM. The Motorola smartphone is equipped with 6GB and 8GB RAM options. This should make the Moto G04 a solid choice for those seeking affordability without compromising essential features.

The moto g04 offers a decent set of features with great value for money. The smartphone comes with stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, a smooth 90 Hz display, an IP52 water-resistant design, and a clean Android 14. Overall, the moto g04 is a good choice if you are looking for a budget smartphone with fairly good features in its price range. The moto g04 starts at ₹6,999 for its 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage and is also available in 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage for ₹1,000 more.

So, the question remains: Should you buy the Moto G04? Absolutely. If you're seeking an entry-level, low-budget phone for your kids, grandparents, or even just as a secondary phone for basic everyday use, then the Moto G04 is a solid choice. It is one of the most budget-friendly phones currently available in the market, offering good design, decent performance, a decent camera, and great battery life. In short, it delivers most of what we expect from a phone in this price range. However, if you are seeking an entry-level phone with a better camera and future OS upgrades to ensure the phone remains up-to-date for another 1 or 2 years, then you can look at options like Realme Narzo N53 and Poco C55, both of which are priced around Rs 8,000.

The Motorola Moto G04 smartphone has become a hit after its launch, especially in India, thanks to some good features and hardware inside that is never found in this price range. It brings a great display with a decent refresh rate, chipset, and outstanding battery life. These features and performance set it a class apart from all the other smartphones in the same price category. The camera or the chipset could have been better but at this price, there’s hardly anything to complain about. The Indian price of the smartphone is even cheaper than its European launch and that’s one of the reasons why it is becoming such a delight among budget users in India. On top of that, there’s a 3.5mm headphone jack and support for expandable storage. All these features also compensate for the lack of 5G connectivity, which would have certainly increased the cost of the smartphone.
