So, now warping up this review, is the Motorola Moto G71 5G a viable option in the sub-20,000 price range? My answer will be ‘Yes’ as well as ‘No’. See, if you want a 5G phone, you should put these devices in an alternate universe where these mid-range “Value for money” 4G smartphones don’t exist. And being a mid-range 5G phone, the Moto G71 has a bunch of talking points—like an AMOLED screen, a fairly capable chipset, and a really good battery life. My one criticism of the brand is that it could have done way better in terms of cameras, which would have made this device a better all-around package. So, if you’re looking for a mid-range 5G phone and don’t wander around the streets taking photos, the Moto G71 5G is a great choice. That being said, if you want a true “Value for money” smartphone that does not compromise on specs, I would still recommend going with a 4G handset.

Moto G71 is a good buy in the mid-range segment. The smartphone has a decent Snapdragon 695 processor with 6GB of RAM, which carries out smooth functioning. The AMOLED display on the Moto G71 has great viewing angles. The battery life is decent too. However, I have still not made peace with the fact that the phone is priced at Rs 18,999. There are better options clearly in this price segment, and the phone doesn’t offer anything extraordinary. The design is pretty basic, and so are the features. The phone would have been a perfect pick if it was priced lower.

The sub-Rs. 20,000 smartphone market is slowly seeing an increase in 5G-enabled smartphones from every manufacturer. The Moto G71 5G is a capable model in this price segment and one that you should definitely consider for your next purchase. It has a capable processor, good battery life with fast charging, and decent cameras. The Moto G71 5G will especially appeal to those who prefer a no-frills design and stock software experience. Low-light camera performance is one area in which the Moto G71 5G falls short of being the perfect all-rounder. If you're looking for alternatives in this price range, the Redmi Note 11T 5G (Review), Realme 8s 5G (Review), and iQoo Z3 (Review) are also worth a look.

Motorola has expanded its Moto G family for 2022, and after some impressive performances from the Moto G51 and Moto G31, we now have the more expensive Motorola Moto G71 5G as a potential Redmi Note competitor. The phone has a lot going for it, including the fact that it is the first device in India to use Qualcomm’s brand-new Snapdragon 695 chipset. Motorola Moto G71 5G boasts a powerful mid-range chipset, 13 5G bands, 4X4 MIMO Carrier Aggregation, a good camera layout, an AMOLED display, no ads in the UI. It also features a big 5000mAh battery which will easily last a whole day even with heavy use, and supports 33W fast charging. The phone costs Rs. 18,999, which puts it in the sub-Rs. 20K pricing range. For the asking price, the Moto G71 5G falls into the upper mid-range category. All this looks really good on paper, but does it do any good in real-life use? That is what we will be talking about in this review today, so let’s get started without further ado.

Motorola tries hard to impress buyers on paper with the Moto G71 but struggles to replicate that in the real world. It has got a few things going for it – the AMOLED display looks nice, the performance is swift, and the battery life is incredible. The downsides, however, are in areas that could hamper the rest of the experience. The cameras aren’t tuned well and the lack of a high refresh rate display is concerning. The AMOLED display itself isn’t the best you can find in this segment. The design is dull too, despite the fancy gradient, and the overall fit and finish is far behind what you see on the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, which is a year old now! And that’s where the problem lies. The Moto G71 is average in all aspects; it pales out in front of the competition from Redmi and Realme; it does not seem to be on the same level as its rivals from a year ago! Is the appeal of a clean stock Android experience and a long-lasting battery enough for you to oversee the rest of the mediocrity?

It is a little difficult to draw conclusions here. For example, I liked the G31 — it has interesting features at an affordable cost. But the G71 is $130 more expensive, but not to say that it is so much better. The cameras are at about the same level (the night mode is even weaker), the OLED display is just as wonderful. Yes, of course, the drive is twice as large, 6 GB of RAM, and there's a fresh processor from Qualcomm. Charging is also better than 10 watts in the G31, but objectively 33 watts is not a record in the budget price range. Of course, there is still 5G, but not everyone needs it.

The Moto G71 5G retails for Rs 18,999 in India and for the price, offers a stylish design and a solid battery backup. Unfortunately, Motorola has cut quite a few corners and the smartphone’s display is simply put – not up to the mark. What’s more, the handset is competing in the dog-eat-dog segment that’s replete with more well-rounded offerings as well. Consequently, the Moto G71 5G, while good, is a tough sell and will only appease those that are looking for a phone with a near-stock Android interface.

So far we have discussed the features and notable specifications of the Motorola Moto G71 smartphone. We also enlightened on how the features can help a user. Definitely, this is a mid-range phone that comes with some very good features. The AMOLED display, RAM size, gaming processor, and professional design, and attractive look make this phone shiny. If these features are interesting for you, you can choose this phone as per your requirement. But no reason to avoid, that the phone has some advanced features missing. Like, this Motorola Moto G71 smartphone, doesn’t support Gorilla Glass protection, doesn’t have any IP certification, no HDR10 certification as well as there is no mention of Custom UI, which adds extra features to the device.
