For those who are just looking for a mid-range smartphone with pure Android, a nice case, and a large display, Motorola is offering the new Motorola One. You could describe the concept as "concentrating on the essentials." We take a closer look at the Motorola One in our test.

The Motorola One was a solid mid-range choice at launch for those after a phone with a modern look and a sensible price. It looks even better now, at £199 in some shops. But it had, and has, stiff competition from Moto’s own G6 phones and the best of Huawei and Honor.

For £200 there are few phones as rounded and long-lasting as Motorola's affordable push back into the market. That said, its near competition offers greater hardware and resolution for just a little more cash. But, on balance, for the right price the One is a well considered Android handset for the casual user.

The Motorola One is a fine phone that lacks any crippling flaws, but elements such as a low-res display and an average camera make it hard to champion over other lower-mid-range alternatives.

The Motorola One is an odd device to figure out. In particular how it fits in with the firm's other mid-range phones like the Moto G6 and G6 Plus which are both highly recommended from us.

Motorola One, First Take: Affordable, with regular Android updates
Source: Zdnet.com English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
So, here's the thing. A straight point-for-point comparison with the Motorola G6 or G6 Plus puts the older phones slightly ahead of the newer one. The key feature that inclines me to the older phones is their superior screens. If you're looking for the Android One guarantee, you might be swayed; otherwise you may want to look elsewhere for a bargain.

However, at MSRP, the budget materials in the shell and unimpressive overall performance of the slightly dated chipset, compared with the only average camera quality seem like plenty of reason to shop around for other devices before jumping on the Motorola One.

The Motorola One is interesting on a few fronts. It’s an Android One phone, meaning it uses an almost untouched Google Android interface, not a custom one. A tasteful, likeable Android, if not one quite as value-packed as Motorola’s very best.

80% Motorola One Power review: Android One plus a massive battery equals a winner
Source: India Today English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
The Motorola One Power is a phone that has been a long time coming. Given how Motorola has mostly stayed with stock Android for its phones, it's a surprise the company took its time to join the Android One program. But the Motorola One Power is here now and it definitely looks more promising than some of the company's more recent offerings. It comes with a bright and vivid FHD display, a smooth Snapdragon processor and a fantastic battery life. But what's music to the ears is the promise of timely Android updates, which is something fans have been waiting for.

Motorola One and Motorola One Power First Impressions
Source: NDTV Gadgets English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
The Motorola One Power is slated to launch in India around October, and although we don’t have an exact price yet, we’re told that it should be under Rs. 15,000. If the Motorola One Power is as good as it looks on paper then it should give stiff competition to the Redmi Note 5 Pro (and the upcoming Redmi 6 series), but it would most likely cannibalize sales of the Moto G6 (Review). The Motorola One is priced at 299 Euros (roughly Rs. 24,000) and will be launching at some point in the months to come. However, given the features and specifications it offers, Lenovo is going to have a tough time convincing buyers in India, especially with options like the Poco F1 (Review) around.

Motorola One has launched in Europe for a price starting at EUR 299, which is roughly Rs 24,000. We are expecting the phone to launch in India with a lesser price tag. Nonetheless, Motorola One faces a strong competition from phones like Nokia 6.1 Plus and Xiaomi’s latest Poco F1, which is also the cheapest Android phone to offer Qualcomm’s top-end Snapdragon 845 processor. Stay tuned for our detailed review.

70% Moto One Power review: Value-for-money mid-range phone with big 5,000mAh battery
Source: The Times of India English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
Moto One Power may have cut corners in terms of design but it’s a good enough mid-range phone with excellent battery life. The camera, however, could have been slightly better. Xiaomi Mi A2 is still the best camera phone under Rs 20,000 in India. That said, Xiaomi’s new Redmi Note 6 Pro also uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor and is available at a starting price of Rs 13,999. Compared to Redmi Note 6 Pro, Moto One Power looks like a definite alternative.

Motorola One Power Review – Big Battery and Android One Goodness
Source: The Mobile Indian English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
The Motorola One Power is a phone for Android One lovers, it has stock Android with Moto gestures, the battery life is amazing, and it offers a decent performance starting at Rs 15,999. A few things like lack of dual-VoLTE support, the bulky design, and the sluggish camera can’t be ignored. If you are looking for phones within a similar range, similar performance, and better cameras, the Redmi Note 5 Pro is still hard to beat one. The cheaper alternative ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 can be looked as well.

Motorola One Power Review
Source: Fone Arena English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
Priced at Rs. 15,999, the Motorola One Power establishes itself as the one to get if security updates and long battery life is what you desire. Being a part of the Android One program, you are guaranteed long-term security updates which is something that Xiaomi’s phones can’t really promise. Add to that the 5000 mAh battery and you’re looking at a very solid smartphone. Outside of the Redmi Note 5 Pro, the Nokia 6.1 Plus is another option that prospective buyers can look at. While the battery on the Nokia is significantly smaller, you get a nicer screen and a much prettier design. It goes on sale exclusively on Flipkart every week.

Motorola One Power Review: Is it the best of Moto in a budget?
Source: The Mobile Indian English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
Motorola has done the pricing right this time, after the blunder it did with Moto G6 Plus. The phone comes loaded with a decent specifications and the major advantage here is the Android One programme and impressive 5000mAh battery. This coupled with good display and standard design, does make it a interesting option to consider in this price band. However, the phone faces a stiff competition with like of Nokia 6.1 Plus and Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1, as both of them offer similar specifications. The Nokia 6.1 Plus looks much premium with its build quality, whereas, ZenFone Max Pro M1 is a bit cheaper than this one and still manages to give almost similar specs.

Source: NDTV Gadgets English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
The Motorola One Power has made it to the Indian market at a sensible price. It is built well and runs pure stock Android, and its biggest advantage is the 5000mAh battery. Since it is a part of the Android One programme, it will get guaranteed security updates for three years, and software updates for the next two years. It also offers better value compared to the Moto G6 and G6 Plus. However, it misses out on dual 4G which is a big omission considering the price. Overall, the One Power is a well-rounded phone and is a good choice for people who prefer stock Android and want the best battery life in this segment.

The Moto One Power is clearly an attempt to destabilise Xiaomi, Nokia and Honor’s pole position in the mid-range segment and take back the market share, and for the most part, the Moto One Power is capable of doing that. The phone’s is performs reliably, has a decent enough camera and can last really long — More or less everything one looks for in a mid-range device. It’s not a perfect device though, and there are a few annoying trade off here and there. Read the full review to find out.

The Motorola One Vision follows on from last year's Moto One and aims to set new standards with an updated display and improved camera. What was good, stays - at least that is what the manufacturer indicates, keeping the "Android One" name. Is this a good mixture?

This well-priced and specified phone shows that a mid-range device can deliver the goods without costing the earth. We'd have even greater things to say about it if the screen aspect ratio wasn't as elongated and the punch-hole wasn't as huge. Oh, and now that there are droves of Moto One phone options - Hyper, Action, Zoom, Macro - the water has become somewhat muddied.

If anyone looking for a low-cost phone asked for guidance, I'd recommend taking a look at the One Vision. While the Motorola One Vision isn't the best mid-range on the market, it's worth considering. The Motorola One Vision costs $455 CAD outright at Koodo.

The Motorola One Vision doesn’t redefine what a handset this cheap gets you in the way that the Pixel 3a does but it still manages to give it a shiny new coat of paint. It’s rare to find a $499 handset that looks and feels this good and, if nothing else, the Motorola One Vision articulates a much clearer idea of what a more expensive Motorola phone could look like. It might be more concerned with style than substance but it’s been a while since you could honestly say that about a Motorola phone.

There’s a lot to like about this smartphone such as overall smooth performance, acceptable camera quality, Android One operating system and more. However, the most touted feature of the phone which is its 21:9 relatively taller aspect ratio is something which is only useful if the more contents are made available by providers. As of now, the screen just shows big black letterboxing at both top and bottom which compromises on the overall viewing experience. However, at the price of Rs 19,999, Motorola One Vision caters most of the users' requirements for day-to-day usage. Those who are Motorola users and look forward to upgrading from their previous Moto device can buy this phone. For the rest, there are several other smartphones from brands like Xiaomi, Samsung, Honor that offers much better value for money.

The Motorola One Vision attempts to solve the pain-point of good imaging and a good display and in that, while the One Vision's display takes time to get used to, it's actually quite helpful in both ergonomics and visual experience. The One Vision's camera however is largely inconsistent especially while shooting under tricky conditions, but it does have one of the sharpest night modes. As for the performance, it's nothing extraordinary but does allow games to run smoothly. Read the full review to find out more.

Motorola One Vision Review

The Motorola One Vision stands out from the crowd as the phone is an Android One device, which is rare in this price segment. Nokia is the other brand that is still making Android One phones but is not as value-for-money as this one. While the phone may look taller, it is quite easy to handle but yes, it may not be for everyone. It does offer good performance, a capable camera, clean and smooth software, and almost good battery life. In short, if you don’t mind the taller 21:9 aspect ratio and a pretty big punch-hole in the top-left corner, you should go for it as the phone offers an overall good experience and is also priced good at Rs. 19,999 in India. It can be purchased exclusively through Flipkart.

The Motorola One Vision is definitely a good looking smartphone and gives very smooth user-experience, thanks to the Android One software experience. With a 3500 mAh battery, you can expect a day of usage without having to reach for the charger, that said, it comes with fast charging. The camera department could have been a lot better. Moto could have helped with 6 GB of RAM and better software for the camera; hoping that they fix it soon with required updates. If you are looking for a no-frills smartphone with good user experience, you would not be disappointed.

As reviewers, there are so many things that we have to keep in mind before delivering a verdict on a smartphone. Most of the time, phones earn recommendation due to the value and features they offer for the price, excluding the flagship ones that lead the way for budget phones. If I had to judge the One Vision solely based on features, it may not fare well with many phones that are priced cheaper than this. The battery life is just average and the cameras, despite packing some intelligent technology, don't perform as expected -- may be an update could fix this. Even the display, which is the One Vision’s highlight, isn’t great -- the LCD panel performs average and the oddly big hole-punch cutout for the camera does more harm than the old trusty notch.

With HMD Global’s Android One-toting Nokia entourage currently lost in a haze of decimals and pluses, the Motorola One Vision stands out as one of the most accomplished and, in spite of its ambitious Vision-ary pitch, straight-talking Android One propositions currently on the market. It also redeems the Motorola One line after the lackluster first attempt threatened to damage Motorola’s standing as a leading mid-range phone maker. The tall display and egregiously large punch-hole may be off putting at first glance, but the well-supported software, surprisingly smooth performance, highly competent cameras, and sub-£300 price tag make the Motorola One Vision a great option in the hotly-contested affordable phone battleground. 80% Motorola One Vision review: Does it stand out against the competition?
Source: The Indian Express English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
Thanks to Motorola One Vision’s tall body and punch-hole screen, the phone stands out in the crowd. It offers smooth performance, a good screen, a powerful speaker and a camera with OIS. Motorola One Vision offers nice low-light photography that is great for a mid-range smartphone. However, Motorola One Vision has a below-average battery life, the build is too thick, and the big punch-hole is an eye-sore. But all in all, Motorola One Vision is not a bad deal. While there are other alternatives available at this price range, the phone is worthy enough to make it to the list of phones to buy under Rs 20,000.

The Motorola One Vision has its flaws, but it delivers a most comprehensive experience in its segment. The phone’s tall aspect ratio screen is a delight to watch videos that are optimised for a wide viewing experience. Its camera might not match the versatility and quality of its competitors with triple-camera modules, but its night mode is one of the best in the midrange segment. The phone’s overall performance is smooth and the stock Android Pie operating system is swift and sleek to use.

The Motorola One Vision has what it takes to be a good mid-ranger and thanks to the cinematic screen and its punch-hole selfie shooter - the Vision can stand out in a crowd. Digging deeper, we found also the optical image stabilization helps the Vision to deliver one of the best low-light photos in this class, too. Unfortunately, the battery life is below average, while punch-hole's size is both an eyesore and on occasion an obstacle to the cinematic immersion. With those two the purchasing decision becomes much harder and very depended on how keen you are on stock Android. If you are into that then the camera alone can easily make you pick the One Vision over the HMD alternatives. If it's not a big deal to you then all boils down to which competitor is the cheapest in your market.

This isn't just another mid-range phone with no personality, it's a well-priced and specced handset with unique appeal; nowhere else will you get a 21:9 aspect ratio paired with a hole-punch front-facing camera. It outsmarts its Sony Xperia 10 competition, too, although whether you'll see any genuine point in the elongated display is up for debate.

Motorola expands its One series with an industry first: A smartphone with an action camera. The Android One smartphone leaves a good impression as a whole package. However, it is not the perfect companion for everyone.

Motorola One Action Is an Action Cam with a Phone Problem
Source: Gear Diary English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
The world of budget Android phones has really exploded in the last few years, especially with Google’s Android One program, which promises regular updates and a clean Android experience. Motorola has been at the forefront of budget phones punching above their weight class, and the Motorola One Action continues that tradition with an action camera in a $349 phone.

Motorola One Action review: Action camera hero or budget flop?

Like the One Vision before it, the Motorola One Action is a budget phone with a bit of ambition that isn’t afraid to have a little fun. At a time where most phones — especially cheaper handsets — are dull and derivative, the One Action is a breath of fresh air.

The mid-range Android device market is starting to become crowded. There are a lot of great choices out there and it is starting to become harder to recommend just one. But the motorola one action should at least be on your shortlist of phones to consider.

The Motorola One Action may not come close to competing with a flagship smartphone, but not everyone has $800 or more to spend on a smartphone every few years. This phone’s unique camera allows it to stand out, making it the perfect fit for someone who’s been eying an action camera to simply record more video or for someone who wants to vlog, allowing them to shoot, edit and post from a single device.

Motorola One Action Review: A Deal Of An Android One Phone
Source: Hot Hardware English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
As far as pricing goes, it can even get better. Recently on Motorola's website it's been even more enticing and current sales have seen the price dip as low as $249 currently on Amazon. At that price, folks in the market for an inexpensive all-round decent performer and good battery life should definitely consider it. As it stands, we're awarding the Motorola One Action with HotHardware's Recommended award for its excellent battery life, solid construction, excellent (promised) software support, and a great entry-level price point.

Motorola One Action Hands-On Review: This Budget Phone’s All About Video
Source: Tom's Guide English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
We like the dedicated ultrawide video camera and how the phone's design evokes that of pricier handsets. We also like the specs, which look to be in line with other midrange offerings. Yet Motorola distancing itself from Android One could be detrimental to its users, and we’re interested in seeing how the Action Camera plays with third-party Android camera apps.

There are some good features here like filming landscape while holding the phone in portrait orientation and decent stabilisation. However, for an action camera, we’d expect the phone to be more rugged than it’s measly IPX2 rating. It's also limited to 1080p and there's the issue of not easily being able to mount the phone to various things you would with an actual action camera. You’re still getting a decent phone for your money, but it’s a shame Motorola hasn’t nailed it on the key selling point here. We still prefer the Moto G7 as a more all-rounder.

Motorola One Action Review

The phone offers pretty good performance with a unique aspect ratio display and is quite smooth in its performance. While the camera performance is not great, it’s not bad either. And if you like recording videos, this might be the phone for you. The major downside of the phone is the battery life and the slow charging speed. The smartphone manager to offer good performance and a smooth experience, thanks to the stock Android 9 Pie OS out-of-the-box. Overall, the phone seems worth spending ₹13,999. If you feel this is not the one for you, then check out the Xiaomi Mi A3, Redmi Note 7 Pro, and Realme 5 Pro as well.

Motorola One Action Hands-On and First Impressions
Source: Mobygyaan English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
Although there’s a lot more to see in the Motorola One Action, from our brief usage, the phone is quite impressive. The company seems to have got the basics right and in addition, the “action camera” seems to be the phone’s USP. With the initial usage, the phone seems worthy of the price tag of ₹13,999. However, we’ll be reviewing the Motorola One Action in detail and the complete review will be published in a few days. Stay tuned for that.

80% Motorola One Action review: It’s all about the action cam and stabilised video
Source: The Indian Express English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
To its advantage, Motorola One Action has a tall build that can be used easily with one hand, a good screen, smooth performance, nice sound, and gameplay sessions are good as well. The added bonus of the Action cam is a welcome addition and the high level of stabilisation in video recording is really commendable. However, Motorola has carried on the drawbacks of its previous Android-One powered device to the Motorola One Action, and that includes a not-so-good battery performance, a thick build, and a giant punch-hole. However, given the things it gets right at its price point of Rs 13,999, I would definetly suggest considering the Motorola One Action.

At the time of writing this review, the Motorola One Action is available in a few international markets for the equivalent of about $290-$300. And, for that price, it definitely brings a lot of bang for one’s buck — especially if you are interested in the action camera feature. To put it in perspective — this is roughly the same price tier as a budget GoPro camera. And the Motorola One Action arguably delivers better stabilization and better sound recording than a budget GoPro. To top it off, it’s an Android phone — you will be able to instantly sync, upload, or even remix your clips straight on the phone.

At the price of Rs 13,999, The overall specification of the Motorola One Action is also in check with optimal performance, acceptable camera quality using the primary sensor, Android One operating system and more. The irony here is that the Motorola One Vision, which feature almost similar hardware specification costs Rs 5,000 more just for the 48-megapixel sensor. The bummer here is again the 21:9 aspect ratio which as of now sounds like a gimmick. But maybe in future when more contents in that aspect ratio will be made available then this whole setup might start making sense.

Motorola One Action review: Remarkable for innovation, wanting in prowess
Source: Business Standard English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
From calculators to audio players, smartphones have over the years integrated features from diverse product categories. In time, they might replace action cameras, too. The Motorola One Action is a capable smartphone that will be remembered as the phone that introduced the concept of action cameras in smartphone. However, it is not the phone that can replace the action cameras. Besides recording ultra-wide videos in portrait orientation, there is precious little that is special about the phone’s video recording capability. Also, the phone does not have any ingress protection rating for water and dust resistance which further diminishes its utility as an action camera device.

The Motorola One Action is a slim, lightweight and good-looking smartphone from the company. The design looks modern and the display seems to be interesting. The Action camera-style video recording seems to be a new concept in the smartphone industry, though the actual implementation is yet to be tested out. The software is clean and bloat-free. As for the competition is concerned, it will face stiff competition from the likes of Realme X, Xiaomi Mi A3, Oppo K3 and more.

The Motorola One Action's one defining feature is also sort of its curse. The thing is, most phones in its price range already have ultra wide angle cameras and those would be ultra wide cameras you can also take pictures with, unlike the Action's video-only implementation. And it's not like the One Action impresses when it comes to the basics - its display is only so-so in the tests, battery life leaves a lot to be desired, and the selfie cam takes up a lot of space on the front, both physically and in software.

The One Zoom’s quad-camera setup with its ultra-wide, telephoto, and depth-sensing sensors makes Motorola’s latest device an attractive proposition for budget-conscious smartphone photography enthusiasts. Accurate autofocus, nice exposures in well-balanced lighting, and a pleasant blur effect in bokeh shots ensure that it’s capable of some nice results, too. However, improvements to the performance of the zoom and ultra-wide cameras, as well as better color rendering and dynamic range, are needed before Motorola will start to challenge devices in the top half of our database.

Those looking for better photos would be wise to opt for the Pixel 3a, while anyone wishing for more power is advised to stretch their budget and land ZTE's Axon 10 Pro, or perhaps even the OnePlus 7T if they can part with $599. The Motorola One Zoom is an acceptable alternative to all of those devices, but it's also full of compromises you shouldn't have to make.

It's a tough market though: the Pixel 3a retails at $399 and takes better pictures overall, even if its single lens can't do the optical zoom and ultra-wide shots that the Motorola One Zoom can. Meanwhile, Nokia continues to put out phones that find an appealing balance between price and features. Be sure to weigh up the competition before taking the plunge on the Motorola One Zoom.

So, you can't blame us when we say can't outright recommend the Motorola One Zoom. If you happen to end up with one through some killer deal, you'll probably be happy with it. But you definitely shouldn't go out actively looking for one in the current 2019 smartphone landscape with so many other options out there which are more competitive.

Source: Pocket Lint English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
Although the Moto One Zoom feels like a departure from the growing One family - it's a wider build, it's ditched Android One for full-fat Android, and there's an in-screen fingerprint scanner (which isn't very good) - it's also largely a success for all that it offers.

Motorola One Zoom review: Poor performance poisons potential
Source: Android Authority English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
Only some people should by the Motorola One Zoom. If you’re looking for a big screen that’s wrapped in really nice hardware, the Zoom has you covered. If you want a standard, telephoto, wide-angle camera setup, the Zoom has you covered. If you want good battery life, rapid charging, and lots of storage, the Zoom has you covered. If you prefer near-stock Android and like Motorola’s software tools, the Zoom has you covered. These are all reason enough to consider the Zoom.

Source: Android Central English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
The Motorola One Zoom is a nice surprise from Motorola, with excellent hardware and a lovely, warm design. Plus, Motorola's software is still great. But its main draw, the quad-camera setup, despite producing great photos, is let down by poor performance from a mid-range chip with so-so image processing.

The Motorola One Zoom is definitely a pleasant surprise. It looks cool, it’s solidly built, its display is OK, and its camera can pull off some really good shots for its class. At a starting price of $450, it’s a very, very solid midranger. Unfortunately, the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL are stomping around in this price range as well and they are a considerable foe.

Motorola One Zoom First Impressions
Source: NDTV Gadgets English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
The Motorola One Zoom is well built and reassuringly solid, but it isn't exactly the most exciting new model in terms of design. The 85 percent screen-to-body ratio and waterdrop notch at the front aren't bad things, but this phone will be competing with several others which have embraced slicker designs and less obtrusive front cameras.

Motorola Moto One Zoom initial review: Quad cameras for the top-end One
Source: Pocket Lint English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
Cameras, cameras, cameras - that's what the Moto One Zoom is all about. And given its near-£400 price point, that combination of 48MP main, matched with a wide-angle, 3x optical zoom and depth sensor, will be highly appealing. The phone is otherwise a well-functioning mid-range handset, largely thanks to the smooth software experience and ample hardware to keep things ticking along. There's even Alexa voice-control integration if you buy the Amazon-exclusive purple model. There are some oddities, such as the different screen and notch solution compared to its cheaper cousins, plus the drop-away from Android One software, but the Moto One Zoom is accomplished and - while it's not going to knock the Huawei P30 Pro off the top spot - its price tag will help sell it aplenty.

If price and photography are priorities when it comes to choosing your next phone, the Moto One Zoom could be an ideal purchase. On paper, the Motorola One Zoom is a seriously compelling mid-range phone. Featuring a clean Android install, impressive quad-camera setup and pleasingly premium design, it ticks all the right boxes to take on the Pixel 3a. Hopefully, we’ll see that it delivers on its opening promise when we get to test the device more thoroughly soon.

The Motorola One Macro has proved once again that you don't need to spend hundreds of pounds to get a great smartphone. The display, battery life and speakers are all a pleasant surprise, while the undeniable shortcomings in some areas of the camera shouldn't be a dealbreaker at this price point. Budget offerings from the likes of Xiaomi, Oppo and Honor might outdo it on the spec sheet, but if stock Android's your thing this is hard to beat.

The Macro should be seen for what it is: a budget handset with a big battery life and fuss-free software. Buy it for the cameras and you'll be disappointed, though, which is somewhat a contradition to the name. Yes, it can do close-up shots, but we'd rather spend a little extra, shelve the macro stuff, and buy the better-specified Moto G8 Plus instead.

Getting right up close to the One Macro doesn’t flatter it, however. The core selling point of a dedicated macro camera turns out to be somewhat underwhelming, even gimmicky, with noisy results and limited practical benefit. The phone’s 720p display, meanwhile, is a notable downgrade from the rest of the range.

Motorola One Macro is a solid device overall. The performance is satisfactory and so is the camera performance. This is the best phone in the range to click macro shots from. However, it leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to low-light photography. The device comes with almost no bloatware and has two years of Android updates promised. Battery life on the Motorola One Macro is another USP of the phone. It offers good value for its price.

Motorola has named this smartphone the One Macro to highlight the macro camera on it, so let's address that first. The macro camera lets you take good close-up shots, but we feel that the novelty of this will wear out soon. Thankfully, you'll still have a smartphone with clean stock Android, a powerful Mediatek Helio P70 SoC, and plenty of RAM and storage.

As a budget phone, the Moto One Macro does tick some of the right boxes. Near stock Android is nice, battery life is decent and the Macro camera is great. The Motorola One Macro is the cheapest option in this year’s One series from the brand so far. The focus is on the macro camera, which lets users take closeup photos by moving really close to the object. The price is also affordable at Rs 9,999. But the results in the Macro mode are a hit and miss in my view.

The Motorola One Macro looks to be a very smart buy for people looking for a durable and trustworthy phone with good cameras below Rs 10,000. The presence of a MediaTek processor might turn away a few potential buyers but overall we were quite satisfied with the smartphone. The Motorola One Macro rides heavily on its cameras which deliver competent performance at this price point. The hyper competitive market that is the sub-Rs 10,000 segment is a difficult one to crack and survive. Motorola One Macro looks to have the ability to stand out in the crowd.

Motorola One Macro hands-on review
Source: GSM Arena English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
However, the cameras are average at best, particularly the macro lens, which just seems like a novelty item and we would have rather liked to see an ultra-wide-angle lens here. The display resolution is also quite low for a phone releasing in 2019. Overall, the One Macro is a decent option for anyone considering a stock Android phone with a large screen and great battery life for an undemanding user who wants something simple and easy to use.

The last budget phone that Motorola made (Moto E6s) left me quite disappointed but with the One Macro, Motorola finally has a budget phone that I can happily recommend under Rs 10,000. The One Macro is meant to offer good macro photography and it does that with flying colours. If you are a photography enthusiast interested in close-up photos, this is the phone you should choose.

The front camera of the Motorola One Hyper hides inside the case and only extends when needed. This gives an intact front and is also a nice gimmick. But can the mid-range smartphone convince in any other way?

The Motorola One Hyper comes in at a fantastic price, given everything it does. The all-screen design is striking in all the right ways and the 64MP camera impresses. While it has got some screen cropping issues gamers should be aware of, and there’s no optical zoom here, it checks all the right boxes at under $400/£300.

Overall this is a good all-round device that offers a strong showing in key areas such as camera, battery, screen, and software. It’s held back by some slightly underwhelming factors (such as an inconsistent fingerprint scanner, poor call quality, a poor ultra-wide camera) that stop it from being recommended by reflex, but nonetheless it stands out as a very solid mid-range performer.

There are now a whole host of phones in the Moto One series. The Hyper is a solid offering in many departments, with a clean software experience, great battery life, notch-free screen, and ample power to boot. But it's not got the most versatile cameras of the lot (that goes to the Zoom), which may seem at odds with its proposition.

In a world where Motorola is churning out foldable phones like the brand-new Motorola Razr and reaffirming its commitment to high-end devices by pledging to come out with a Snapdragon 865-powered handset next year, the Motorola One Hyper may not necessarily excite. But it would be a mistake to dismiss this phone out of hand. The cameras seem promising and could prove to be a worth alternative to the Pixel 3a, while matching that phone's low price tag.

For its price of around $230, the Motorola One Fusion+ sacrifices some build quality in favor of a good, large screen, great-sounding speaker and long battery life. It also features all the modern camera options one may want, such as wide-angle and macro shooters. The One Fusion+ is among the more impressive budget devices we've seen this year, and is definitely worth considering when on a budget, so long as it's available and supported in your region.

The Motorola One Fusion+ ends up being a well-rounded package for the price it sells. It checks the boxes for powerful chipset, nice and large display, a hefty battery and good cameras. Surely, it looks and feels old but that’s the compromise Motorola chose in order to offer a phone that’s so high on value. On the whole, it ends up being a dependable smartphone that this segment has been lacking for a couple of years.

The Motorola One Fusion+ runs My UX on top of Android 10. The skin is minimalist and feels just like stock Android. Apart from a few preinstalled Google apps, the Motorola One Fusion+ has absolutely zero bloatware which is rare to see these days. Even so, Motorola has added some of its useful gestures such as the double-chop to turn on the flashlight and a double-twist to launch the camera app, among others. The UI is very easy to navigate and I did not face any issues here. The Motorola One Fusion+ was running the April security patch, which isn't the latest.

Source: Android Central English EN→zh-CN
The Motorola One 5G Ace stands out as one of the cheapest 5G phones you can buy in 2021, but unfortunately, that's not enough to overlook the rest of its shortcomings. Performance and battery life are excellent at this price, but thanks to middling cameras, a cheap design, and an unacceptable level of software support, the phone as a whole comes with plenty of baggage. Combine that with the fact that you can get better overall phones for less money, and the One 5G Ace ends up being difficult to recommend unless you really need 5G at this price (which you don't).

The Motorola One 5G is a good all-rounder with a better chipset, battery life and screen quality than many other devices at its price point. It’s also got a bigger screen than its siblings. The fact that it’s also 5G-compatible makes it an even more tempting offer, as it’s the cheapest 5G phone at launch, although as with all Moto phones it has its fair share of annoying quirks. It’s good, especially as a cheap 5G handset, but not game-changing.

Motorola has a history of releasing excellent budget phones, like the Moto G Stylus and G Power. And when the phone-maker launched its first 5G phone, the Moto Z3 in 2018, it was a bargain at the time, despite needing an additional 5G Moto Mod accessory to connect to the next-gen network. It makes sense, then, that for the new $445 Motorola One 5G the company combined both its affordable phone wisdom and 5G connectivity smarts -- all without the need of an accessory -- to prove finally that 5G phones don't need to be expensive in 2020. (Google also recently announced two new 5G phones, both more expensive than the Motorola One 5G: The Pixel 5 and the Pixel 4A 5G.)

For just $445, the Moto One 5G is a good phone with solid specs. Between the 90Hz 21:9 screen, Snapdragon 765, fantastic battery life, headphone jack, and polished user experience, it cranks the value dial up to eleven. The One 5G doesn’t exist in a vacuum, though. There are other sub-$500 handsets with 5G out there, and more on the way.

The Motorola One 5G offers solid performance, long battery life, a lovely display, and 5G for about $150 less than the Samsung Galaxy A71 5G. That said, call quality and network performance on AT&T were poor in testing, and AT&T has disabled the option to turn off 5G even when 4G can potentially provide a vastly better experience. That makes it tough the recommend, especially when the Pixel 4a offers a better experience nearly all around for $100 less. Of course, the Pixel 4a doesn't have 5G, but Google is planning to offer a 5G model in the near future for $499, which we think will be a better buy.

The Motorola One 5G is an interesting phone, sitting somewhere in between the Moto G and Motorola Edge lineups. Some of its specs are rather impressive, namely the 90Hz LCD display, massive 5,000 mAh battery, and little goodies like a headphone jack and expandable storage. Those aspects all work really well, but when you start piling on the various downsides — weak cameras, limited availability, and lacking update support — the Motorola One 5G becomes a tricky recommendation at its $445 price tag.

80% Motorola One 5G Ace Review – An A+ For Effort But Middling In Some Areas That Matter
Source: Android Headlines English EN→zh-CN
As highlighted here, the biggest caveats here are fairly important ones. But nearly all of those could be mitigated via a software update. An update that Motorola has still said is coming. In fact, it will eventually get Android 12 and that should come with some significant improvements beyond the OS too. That’s if Motorola’s previous update cycles are any indication. So notes about camera inconsistencies, the lack of some of the newest features, and even some qualms about the display and charging could ultimately be mitigated to a certain extent. Bearing that in mind, when the cameras here do perform properly, they’re brilliant for the money. The performance, display resolution, audio features, solid connectivity, and battery life, conversely, are all stellar. As this phone currently stands, it’s a great value compared to others we’ve reviewed. And that can only be improved with the incoming updates, if and when they arrive.

The brand has a good track record of launching some useful phones. Known for its efficiency, each feature adds great value to users. You will get all the features you need in the Motorola One 5G UW Ace smartphone. Because of the emergence of hundreds of smartphone brands, Motorola lost its monopoly market, but they are still releasing some decent smartphones. Equipped with 5G support and a decent processing chipset, you won’t want to miss this phone. Although the company doesn’t care much about design, colors, and storage, to some extent you may find this phone to be expensive. If you are not satisfied with the specs and look for an alternative, we recommend you check the vivo iQOO U3x 5g smartphone.

The biggest issue with the Motorola One 5G Ace is that I just feel like it should offer more at its price point. Here in the U.S., 5G really isn't a selling point, or at least it shouldn't be. Also, we have phones like the Nord N10 5G that do 5G at $299, albeit with a lesser Snapdragon 690 processor. At $399, the Motorola One 5G Ace is the company’s least expensive 5G smartphone. From solid performance to incredible battery life, the Motorola One 5G Ace does get a lot of things right. It’s a phone we want to love. Moto One 5G Ace Review: Solid 5G Phone, Battery Life Champ
Source: Hot Hardware English EN→zh-CN
While the Ace is a solid 5G phone overall, it feels like Moto’s cruising along. Sure, the user experience is excellent thanks to its clean Android OS with a few thoughtful tweaks, but that’s true of almost every other Moto handset. And the all-plastic build is a letdown when you look at Moto’s mid-range history of devices with more premium materials. Finally, $399 isn’t as competitive without a 90Hz display, especially when the Moto One 5G only costs $45 more and the OnePlus Nord N10 5G sells for just $299. So, let’s hope MSRP drops quickly out of the gate. Finally, if battery life is of the utmost importance to you, the Moto One 5G Ace tops the charts and blew away every other phone we've tested. Kudos for another battery life champion, Moto.
