NVIDIA GeForce GTX 965M SLI是一款支持DirectX 11的高端笔记本电脑显卡,由两块GeForce GTX 965M组成。每块显卡采用了一颗Maxwell架构28纳米制程的GM204显示核心,与GTX 980M,GTX 970M以及一些台式显卡相同。SLI模式下的频率与单显卡GTX 965M相同(924MHz核心频率,1250MHz显存频率)。

在SLI设置下,每块显卡交替负责渲染一个单独的帧(在AFR模式下)。因此,它可能在较低帧数下(30fps)有“微卡帧”的情况。这个现象源自两个相邻帧间的时间间隔出现误差(例如在帧序列间出现的不规则延迟)。

架构

GM204核心基于Nvidia的Maxwell架构,用于替代前代的Kepler架构。在众多的改进中,Nvidia着重于重新设计流处理器(SMM),以提高工作负载和功效。现在每个SMM仅包含128个着色单元和8个TMU,明显比同等级的开普勒显卡少。GM204提供了4个GPC,每个由四个SMM组成。但是,在GeForce GTX 965M,Nvidia禁用了16个SMM中的8个。因此,仅1024个着色处理单元和64个TMU处于活动状态。此外,它有两组共32个ROP(各包含16个单元)。

显存界面带宽为128位(2个64位)。由于改进的压缩算法,与GDDR5显存的连接单位MHz效率应会有显著提升。此外,L1(每个SMM 96 KB)和L2缓存(2 MB)也有显著扩大,以降低所需的带宽。再加上显著提高的L1(每个SMM核心96KB)和L2缓存(2MB),它运行中所需的数据带宽也会有所降低。相对中端的GM107,更新更大的GM204核心有了一些新的功能和改变。除了改进了的SMM变形引擎,它也成为了第一块支持DirectX 11.2 API的Nvidia芯片。

性能

结合优秀的驱动支持,SLI模式几乎可以令单显卡的性能翻倍。在GTX 965M SLI的情况中,它超过了GeForce GTX 980M单显卡性能约10%。因此,GTX 965M SLI的性能足以在最高细节,开启抗锯齿,在超过全高清的分辨率下运行目前要求最高的游戏。

特性

大多数功能与GeForce GTX 800M系列相同。使用GTX 965M,可以连接多达4个显示器,但是这个数字可能由于采用Optimus技术而减少。显示器可通过DisplayPort 1.2或HDMI 2.0(4K分辨率下不支持HDCP )以3840×2160像素的最大分辨率连接。HD音频格式,如杜比True HD和DTS HD可以通过数字信号传输。与以往的机型相同,3D Vision和Optimus功能不相兼容。

更新的视频处理器VP6支持常见格式如H.264,也可以通过NVENC API解码高达4K的H.265视频。几个并行流的解码,如蓝光电影画中画功能,也可以实现。

功耗

每块GeForce GTX 965M包括MXM版和显存的功耗约70瓦,因此它的总热设计功率约140W。因此,这个SLI模式只适合于采用高性能散热系统的大型笨重游戏笔记本采用。在低负载下,动态时钟频率技术可以帮助显卡节省能源。
