80% Nothing Phone (3a) Pro review: is Pro the way to go?
Source: T3 English EN→zh-CN
When you consider the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro has a massive periscope zoom camera, it's savvily positioned against the competition. Sure, it's pricier than the earlier (2a) or its less well-endowed (3a) sibling – yet with a price that undercuts Samsung's Galaxy A56 and Apple's iPhone 16e by far, it offers great value. The Pro feels like a more grown-up package than previous – while offering those fun yet functional Glyph lights and software quirks. It's not perfect, mind, as the new Essential Key is poorly positioned, the camera enclosure is inevitably large, and the performance, while solid at this level, isn't seamless.

Source: Tech Advisor English EN→zh-CN
As good as the Phone (3a) Pro is, probably not. The existence of Nothing’s own Phone (3a) makes this more expensive phone a tough sell. The only fundamental differences between the two concern the cameras, with the Pro getting a better telephoto lens, improved selfies and 4K video recording. In exchange, you’ll have to put up with a hefty camera bump. If you really care about photography at this price, the Pixel 9a will probably be a better bet. And if you want the best phone that Nothing makes, we’re expecting a more premium Phone (3) later this year. That puts the Phone (3a) Pro in an awkward middle ground, where it’s one of the best phones that I can’t recommend.

75% Review: I want to love the Nothing Phone 3a Pro, but common sense gets in the way
Source: Android Police English EN→zh-CN
Unfortunately, I can’t recommend a phone I enjoy as much as the Phone 3a Pro. In the US, we are desperate for high-quality Android smartphone competition, and it's disheartening to see an oasis off in the distance only to realize it's a mirage. The Phone 3a Pro has the specs, performance, design, and price to be a runaway winner in our markets, but Nothing needs to show commitment before I can return the favor and label it one of our favorite Android phones. I like the Phone 3a Pro, but unless you’re an overseas buyer, there’s no reason to risk it. The Nothing Phone 3a Pro has all the qualities of an excellent midrange phone in 2025, but it is hard to recommend to US buyers.

Despite its ever-expanding portfolio of devices, Nothing is still a relatively small operation. It is hard to say where its future lies, but the focus seems to be shifting more and more back to midrange and value-driven devices. Granted, we are yet to see what the upcoming proper Phone (3) will offer, but we have our hopes set high for that one if the Nothing phone (3a) Pro is anything to go by. While not a powerhouse in any capacity, the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro is unquestionably a very well-rounded device. We found a lot to like about the phone and very few faults, if any. Sure, you can probably get better value for money in this price bracket, but nothing quite as unique as the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro. You have to admire Nothing's consistency and dedication to the overall design and UX, and we are glad to see it's not going anywhere.

80% Nothing Phone 3A and 3A Pro review: Brimming with nostalgia but mighty in every sense
Source: The Indian Express English EN→zh-CN
Compared to Nothing’s past offerings, the camera system on the Phone 3A and 3A Pro is a significant improvement—it’s a night-and-day difference. The ultrawide and main cameras produce impressive photos with excellent detail and quality. Images turned out remarkably well in good lighting conditions, even with challenging subjects like trees and grass. What surprised me most was the camera’s performance as the light diminished—typically, mobile phone cameras struggle with noise and loss of detail. However, the Phone 3A Pro held its ground.

I like almost everything about the Nothing Phone 3a Pro. I wish it had a faster chipset. But apart from that, I think it is a perfect phone. More significantly, it is a phone with style and cool factor. At a time when all phones look similar to each other, that counts for something I believe. In other words, if you are looking to get a Rs 30,000 phone, I think you can’t go wrong with the Nothing Phone 3a Pro. It is a capable and versatile phone that is bound to delight you, and more so if you like its tech-minimalistic aesthetics.

Nothing Phone (3a) series first impressions - Nice design tweaks, better cameras, and a different spin on the AI game
Source: Tech Nave English EN→zh-CN
So far, we love how the two new phones look and perform. Priced at RM1699 and RM1999, the Nothing Phone (3a) and Nothing Phone (3a) Pro offer great value for people who want a solid mid-range device that works. It doesn't have some of the fancy features available on flagship phones, such as wireless charging. However, we think they offer good value considering their asking prices.

Source: BGR English EN→zh-CN
The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro stands out for its excellent value, offering impressive features at its price point. The camera system, particularly the inclusion of a telephoto lens, is a rare find at this price, providing users with more versatility than the competition. I wish it went that extra step further with things like wireless charging, but hopefully, the Phone (4a) Pro will. In fact, for under $500, this is arguably the best phone available, especially for those who value a unique design, a capable camera setup, and a clean software experience. If you want a well-rounded smartphone without breaking the bank, the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro is a strong contender.

Nothing Phone 3a and 3a Pro review: Nothing is Essential
Source: Android Central English EN→zh-CN
Nothing is back with a brilliant pair of budget-minded phones, but it's not as big a win for the company this year as it was last year. Competitors like Poco and Honor have improved admirably in this space, and Nothing's choice of the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 means gaming performance, in particular, is much worse than last year's phone. But there's something to be said about Nothing's style and impressive software. The company is second only to Google in its software update cadence, offering tons of new features for its phones every few months. I really like what Nothing OS has become in a few short years and love seeing it morph into something that looks and feels truly unique.

Nothing Phone 3a Pro review: Up to speed in design, performance, and UI
Source: Business Standard English EN→zh-CN
Starting at Rs 29,999, the Nothing Phone 3a Pro stands out as one of the most distinctive smartphones on the market. Beyond its unique design, it delivers a near-flagship software experience, making it a compelling choice. Performance, imaging, and battery life are well-balanced for its price. However, the lack of wireless charging, HDR support on streaming platforms, and a few other missing features may be drawbacks for some users.

In an era where budget phones are costing more while getting stripped of features, the Nothing Phone 3a Pro reverses course by providing more for less. Nearly everything about Nothing's Pro model is much improved over the last version, but the fact that it has a triple camera system, original design, all-day battery life, and the best looking interfaces around is a testament to its unbelievable $479 price.

Nothing Phone (3a) Pro Review: Better, Brighter, and More Fun
Source: Yanko Design English EN→zh-CN
Smartphone manufacturers sometimes resort to gimmicks and outlandish designs just to catch attention. More often than not, however, they’re just superficial makeup to cover the flaws that lie deep within. With its Glyph lights and its new camera design, you might think that the Nothing Phone (3a) is one of those. This is one such instance where you’re invited to look a little deeper and not judge a book by its cover. It almost has it all: a memorable design, solid performance across the board, and a juicy price tag. It’s far from perfect, nor will it ever rub shoulders with the upper echelons of the smartphone market.

80% Nothing Phone (3a) Pro review: giving competitors a run for their money
Source: 91mobiles English EN→zh-CN
The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro delivers meaningful upgrades over its predecessor and strong value in its segment. Priced starting at Rs 29,999, it justifies its premium over the Phone (2a) Plus with a more durable design, enhanced performance, and improved cameras. However, while the battery life is decent, a larger capacity would have improved its standing against competitors. The 50MP periscope lens, though a welcome addition, falls short of the telephoto capabilities of the Realme 14 Pro+ (review) and Redmi Note 14 Pro+ (review). That said, the Phone (3a) Pro excels in daylight, selfie, and low-light photography, marking a significant improvement. It also offers a clean, bloat-free Android experience and a vibrant AMOLED display, though the lack of HDR support is disappointing.

80% Nothing Phone (3a) Pro review: a flagship trio of cameras, but without the flagship price
Source: Digital Camera World English EN→zh-CN
In the highly competitive and over saturated world of mid-level phones, it is hard to stand out. Luckily the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro does exactly that with its unique design freshesing and looking like nothing else out there – although won't be for everyone. The phone also sets itself apart with a triple camera system complete with a periscope telephoto lens which is pretty much unheard of at this price – which brings me to the all-round terrific value of the Phone (3a) Pro with decent processing, long-lasting battery, and a great screen. Unfortunately, the cameras are a little underwhelming, with some processing inconsistencies letting down the overall quality, but the versatility for this price can't be overlooked.

Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro hands-on review: This town ain’t big enough for the both of us
Source: Expert Reviews English EN→zh-CN
My initial feeling about these handsets is that they could have just been one phone. There aren’t many significant differences between them and while I have high hopes for the (3a) Pro’s periscope telephoto camera, I don’t think it will be impressive enough to justify the extra £70 to £120 in price. That’s a question to be settled when I come to the full reviews, however. For now, it’s clear that the Phone (3a) series makes several exciting improvements to last year’s models. The displays are bigger and brighter, both models get a new telephoto camera and the simplified approach to AI looks genuinely useful. I’ll have a lot more to say on the Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro in the coming weeks – including which of them I feel is most worth your time – but for now, I feel confident that Nothing has at least one more bargain mid-range phone on its hands.

Nothing Phone (3a), (3a) Pro are great value, but not coming to Canada
Source: Mobile Syrup English EN→zh-CN
The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro also sports a 50-megapixel periscope camera with 6x in-sensor zoom. In-sensor zoom uses image crop to provide a closer look at the subject without losing image quality. The 6x zoomed photos look good and offer a similar image quality to the other cameras on the device. Honestly, the Nothing Phone (3a) series cameras take good shots, and I’d even be happy if the Nothing Phone (3) had similar shooters. Except, I hope it doesn’t have that same ugly camera module and looks more similar to the Nothing Phone (2) or the Nothing Phone (3a.) I like the Nothing Phone (3a) series.

Nothing Phone (3A) Pro Review: Just Keeps Getting Better
Source: Slashgear English EN→zh-CN
The big caveat here is that like previous generations of the Nothing phone, the Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro are not optimized for the U.S. market. T-Mobile even threw an error at me indicating that the phone wasn't totally compatible with its network. Despite that, I had no trouble with any phone calls or data while using the phone in the suburbs of Chicago. However, that also means there's a small hoop to jump through in order to buy the phone — you need to enroll in Nothing's Beta program to qualify. It's not hard and it's free, but it's still an extra step. The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro will be available to purchase in the U.S. in only the 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage configuration in the grey and black colorways. The phone will cost $459.

63% Nothing Phone (3a) Pro review: they Pro now?
Source: Phone Arena English EN→zh-CN
The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro is an interesting phone. It has a very bold look, it's quirky and undisputedly unique. Its performance is OK, it's fine. It's no 4K video-editing monster, or 8K camcorder, nor a heavy gaming smartphone. But as a phone, a regular daily driver that keeps you online and keeps you going, it's pretty solid. Actually kind of fun, with small but meaningful Nothing modifications. For the bad part — its camera is not great. And yeah, you can't really judge a $460 phone's camera too hard, and we are not saying this one's terrible. It's just... not great. There's the Pixel 8a, only $40 more, with the better camera and more updates directly from Google. Not to mention, a newer Pixel 9a should be announced any moment now.

80% Nothing Phone 3a Pro review: design doubts aside, this might be the mid-ranger for me
Source: Stuff TV English EN→zh-CN
It’s a little ironic that a phone with flashing lights and see-through styling doesn’t do enough to stand out from its baby brother. If you rarely reach for the zoom button, I can’t see why you’d skip the standard Phone 3a for this: it’s on par everywhere else, has less divisive looks, and costs a whole lot less. There’s no denying you’re getting the superior telephoto snapper here, though. Add in the very capable lead lens and the Phone 3a Pro can compete comfortably with the upper echelons of mid-range cameraphones. Personally, that makes it the one I’d pick of the pair. Performance and battery life are also what you’d expect for the cash, while Nothing’s spin on Android remains a joy to use – even if the Essential Space doesn’t truly feel essential just yet.

Nothing has made some thoughtful and innovative additions since last year’s Nothing Phone (2a). In particular, the provision of a dedicated 3x periscope camera isn’t something we see too often south of £500. The company’s new Essential Key hardware button also opens up a fascinating new path for logging your thoughts and discoveries. It could use some fleshing out, but we’re interested to see where it goes. Nothing’s software is as sharp and stylish as ever, and its hardware makes a statement that no other affordable brand can match.

The Nothing Phone 3a Pro impresses with its unique design, Glyph interface, bright display, and versatile cameras. However, its Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset offers minimal performance gains over the standard 3a, making the “Pro” branding questionable. Nothing Phone 3a Pro Review: Until last year, the mid-range smartphone segment had some conventional looks and good enough hardware, but then Nothing entered the market with the Phone 2a (review). The aim was straightforward: to provide a one-of-a-kind design and interesting concept to play with, and it worked really well for them. After the success of Phone 2a, which sold over 100k in the first 24 hours of launch, the company expanded into the entry-level range with its sub-brand CMF.

After the odd Nothing Phone 2a Plus release, Nothing is straight back to the top of its game with the Nothing Phone 3a Pro. I used it as my main smartphone the week leading up to MWC 2025, and also while I’ve been in Barcelona for the show, and it hasn’t put a foot wrong. It has been reliable to use and taken some great photos, but most of all it has been fun. The Phone 3a Pro is one of the few smartphones to put a smile on my face, whether it’s through the out-there design, the silly sound effects, the flash of the Glyph Lights, the pedometer widget, or the really cool black and white filter for the camera. Even the filter switcher in the camera app looks unique, and I adore Nothing’s attention to detail throughout the software and the phone’s design. It separates it from other phones at a similar price. The Nothing Phone 3a Pro is superb, and I wholeheartedly recommend you buy it.

Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro hands-on review
Source: GSM Arena English EN→zh-CN
The new Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro don't stray too much from the established Nothing formula, yet they remain quite uniquely positioned on the market, even based on looks alone. Adding a third telephoto camera in this generation is a nice touch. The Pro is clearly the way to go if the telephoto is a big priority for you, but for many, the 2x on the vanilla will suffice just fine. As for the rest of the devices, there is pretty much perfect convergence. Both use the same display, which we found to be excellent in person, and both rely on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, which, while not a flagship chip, has plenty of performance to throw around. Though far from industry-leading, the three-year software support promise is also decent enough.

I've been testing Nothing's latest – Is the Phone (3a) Pro a Samsung-beating upgrade?
Source: T3 English EN→zh-CN
After initial stages of testing, I'm generally impressed by the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro. It's a savvily positioned product, when you consider it has a massive periscope zoom camera – yet costs less than Samsung's Galaxy A56, far less than Apple's iPhone 16e, and when Google inevitably announces a Pixel 9a I suspect that will cost more too. It's not all roses, though, as the processor and software does show some signs of weakness – in beta there's no Google Wallet payments; there's also some minor stutters when loading some apps – and the price jump from the base Phone (3a) to the Pro is significant.

If you’re looking beyond Android’s mid-range usual suspects like the Pixel 8a, then the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro should certainly be on your short list. It’s not the most powerful option around, but you might not care if you’d make the most of that 3x optical zoom telephoto lens. Nothing Phone’s unique features, such as the transparent design, Glyph interface, and Essential Space, come down to personal taste. It’s too early to really consider Essential Space all that essential or useful, but those rear Glyph notifications might really come in handy for some people.
