80% Nothing Phone (3a) Review: The Best Sub-$400 Smartphone?
Source: Nextpit EN English EN→zh-CN
The $300 to $400 price range is highly competitive sector where many manufacturers try to stand out from the crowd with a special feature (or two). With Nothing, their strength clearly lies in the design. However, it is not just the appearance that impresses, but also the overall package without any major weaknesses. The workmanship is high quality and the display also worked well outdoors with its high brightness. Together with top performance, solid battery life, and usable cameras, the Nothing Phone 3(a) offers a convincing overall package for $379. The doubling of storage space from 128 GB to 256 GB is also fairly priced at $50 more. If you like taking photos and especially appreciate the 3x zoom, you can take a closer look at the Nothing Phone 3(a) Pro, which is otherwise identical in all other aspects.

80% Nothing Phone 3A and 3A Pro review: Brimming with nostalgia but mighty in every sense
Source: The Indian Express English EN→zh-CN
Compared to Nothing’s past offerings, the camera system on the Phone 3A and 3A Pro is a significant improvement—it’s a night-and-day difference. The ultrawide and main cameras produce impressive photos with excellent detail and quality. Images turned out remarkably well in good lighting conditions, even with challenging subjects like trees and grass. What surprised me most was the camera’s performance as the light diminished—typically, mobile phone cameras struggle with noise and loss of detail. However, the Phone 3A Pro held its ground.

Nothing Phone (3a) series first impressions - Nice design tweaks, better cameras, and a different spin on the AI game
Source: Tech Nave English EN→zh-CN
So far, we love how the two new phones look and perform. Priced at RM1699 and RM1999, the Nothing Phone (3a) and Nothing Phone (3a) Pro offer great value for people who want a solid mid-range device that works. It doesn't have some of the fancy features available on flagship phones, such as wireless charging. However, we think they offer good value considering their asking prices.

Nothing Phone 3a review: A mid-ranger with something in store for everyone
Source: Business Standard English EN→zh-CN
Priced at Rs 24,999, the Phone 3a presents strong value for those seeking a well-rounded daily driver. It delivers sufficient power for routine tasks, captures decent photos, offers excellent battery life, and maintains a refined software experience. The absence of features like wireless charging is less noticeable at this price point. However, for those needing greater versatility in the camera department, the Phone 3a Pro would be the better choice.

80% Nothing Phone 3a Review: the new champion of value
Source: Digital Trends English EN→zh-CN
If you judge the Nothing Phone 3a by flagship standards, it falls short in some areas. However, look at the price and you quickly realize just how good this phone is. We’ve used Pixel a series devices in the past, and it always felt like a lot of compromises, but the Phone 3a feels more like a flagship that’s almost double the price than a typical mid-range phone. NothingOS is refreshingly different, the glyphs help you stand out and even the Essential Space has some good ideas. The camera is capable, yet inconsistent, but the battery life is outstanding. Achieving a low price point requires making many compromises, and Nothing has made the best combination of compromises at this price point. It would be easy to dismiss the Phone 3a as much ado about Nothing, but the Phone 3a has taught me that there is something special about Nothing. The Phone 3a can compete against the best affordable phones, and many of the best overall phones, so I can’t wait for the next flagship, the Nothing Phone 3.

80% Nothing Phone 3a review: Software and design make it stand out
Source: India Today English EN→zh-CN
The Nothing Phone 3a is a good-enough package at a starting price of Rs 24,999. In fact, it is more than good enough. If I am getting a Rs 25,000 phone, I will all things considered get the Phone 3a. That is because at this price, you are getting a host of premium features including a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip, 5,000mAh battery and an Essential Space. And of course, in the Nothing Phone 3a you also get a device that has a unique design and aesthetics that can’t be matched by any other phone. Having said that, there are some areas that could have been better. I would have preferred a better camera system for sure. So, while you consider the Phone 3a do keep that in mind as well.

80% Nothing Phone (3a) review: Incredible value
Source: BGR English EN→zh-CN
The Nothing Phone (3a) delivers a lot of value for its $379 price, making it one of the most compelling budget smartphones available. It offers a sleek design, a bright and smooth display, and a camera setup that includes a rare telephoto lens in this price range. Performance is strong for everyday use, and while it won’t match flagship phones, it holds up well against similarly priced competition. Battery life is solid, and while the lack of wireless charging is disappointing, the 50W wired charging helps make up for it.

Nothing Phone 3a Review | Upgrade to Pro?
Source: Tech Spurt English
Reviewing the Nothing Phone 3a with a comparison vs the Pro, to see how they stack up for camera abilities, gaming performance, battery life and beyond. This unboxing and two week review includes my Nothing Phone 3a verdict - spoiler alert, one of the best budget mid-range phones of 2025, easy. The main difference vs the 3a Pro is that camera setup, but the regular smartphone should appease most people. That zoom lens isn't as capable (especially at night), but you still get good looking pics in most conditions, as long as your subject isn't moving.

Nothing Phone 3a Review: A for Affordable, Attractive, and AI-Powered
Source: The Tech Revolutionist English EN→zh-CN
The Nothing Phone 3a is a device that punches above its weight in several key areas. Design-wise, it remains one of the most eye-catching phones in its price range, with the Glyph lighting system and transparent back making it stand out in a crowded market. Performance-wise, it delivers solid results for most tasks, and while it’s not a powerhouse, it’s more than capable of handling everyday use. The camera system is a pleasant surprise, offering great results for the price, and the battery life ensures that you can get through a full day of usage without worrying about recharging. While the Nothing Phone 3a Pro offers some improvements, such as a faster chip and slightly better performance, the Phone 3a holds its own, offering a great balance of style, performance, and price. If you’re looking for a well-rounded mid-range phone that doesn’t break the bank, the Nothing Phone 3a is definitely an easy recommend.

Nothing Phone (3a) Review: Familiar Face, Familiar Reliability
Source: Yanko Design English EN→zh-CN
While the first Nothing Phone turned heads with its distinctive design and Glyph Interface gimmick, the brand has made a name for itself with its blend of well-thought design, impressive performance, and competitive pricing. Nowhere is there truer than with Nothing’s “a” series that continues to shake up the mid-range smartphone market, especially with the arrival of the Phone (3a). It might not look like a significant upgrade from the outside, but Nothing combines a familiar and trusted design with improvements across the board, prioritizing reliability over fancy new designs and features.et.

Nothing Phone 3a and 3a Pro review: Nothing is Essential
Source: Android Central English EN→zh-CN
Nothing is back with a brilliant pair of budget-minded phones, but it's not as big a win for the company this year as it was last year. Competitors like Poco and Honor have improved admirably in this space, and Nothing's choice of the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 means gaming performance, in particular, is much worse than last year's phone. But there's something to be said about Nothing's style and impressive software. The company is second only to Google in its software update cadence, offering tons of new features for its phones every few months. I really like what Nothing OS has become in a few short years and love seeing it morph into something that looks and feels truly unique.

Of course, if you want a different sort of AI, the Nothing Phone 3a also comes with Google Gemini, which can work with most of Google's own apps, such as the Google Calendar app in the above scenario. The Nothing Phone 3a doesn't appear to come with AI eraser for your photos, or AI tools that you can use for images, but you can pay for a Google One subscription for this. Other features of the Phone 3a include the Glyph Interface, which you can use as a timer, or a notification alert when your screen is facing downwards. While I do think it's cool, it hasn't been that useful to me since I keep the screen facing up (yes I admit I may have a screen time problem).

70% Nothing Phone 3a Review: A Phone That Looks as Different as It Feels
Source: Think Digit English EN→zh-CN
What makes the Phone 3a cool isn’t just any single feature but the cohesive vision behind it. It’s genuinely interesting, capable, and fun to use. From hardware to software, Nothing has created a device with a clear identity and purpose in a market where many phones feel interchangeable. The Nothing Phone 3a dares to be different with its signature transparent back and refined Glyph Interface. It brings meaningful upgrades, from a glass-backed design for enhanced durability to a versatile triple-camera system and a well-optimized Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. When paired with Nothing OS 3.1, you get a minimal yet feature-rich Android experience. But does it do enough to stand out in the competitive sub-₹25K segment?

100% Nothing Phone 3a review: this is the one you want
Source: Stuff TV English EN→zh-CN
With so little to separate the 3a from its Pro bigger brother, I feel it’s the better choice for most price-savvy smartphone shoppers. I’ll admit I’m not the biggest fan of the Pro’s stocky rear camera array, and if you largely ignore your phone’s zoom button, you’re really not missing out on anything. Essential Space needs more time to grow before it becomes a reason to buy a Nothing phone, and I think the button placement could use a rethink before the flagship Phone 3 arrives later in the year. But those are really my only quibbles. What’s left is one of the most comprehensive affordable phones out there, with the stand-out styling, unique features and slick software Nothing does so well.

Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro hands-on review: This town ain’t big enough for the both of us
Source: Expert Reviews English EN→zh-CN
My initial feeling about these handsets is that they could have just been one phone. There aren’t many significant differences between them and while I have high hopes for the (3a) Pro’s periscope telephoto camera, I don’t think it will be impressive enough to justify the extra £70 to £120 in price. That’s a question to be settled when I come to the full reviews, however. For now, it’s clear that the Phone (3a) series makes several exciting improvements to last year’s models. The displays are bigger and brighter, both models get a new telephoto camera and the simplified approach to AI looks genuinely useful. I’ll have a lot more to say on the Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro in the coming weeks – including which of them I feel is most worth your time – but for now, I feel confident that Nothing has at least one more bargain mid-range phone on its hands.

Source: Mobile Syrup English EN→zh-CN
The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro also sports a 50-megapixel periscope camera with 6x in-sensor zoom. In-sensor zoom uses image crop to provide a closer look at the subject without losing image quality. The 6x zoomed photos look good and offer a similar image quality to the other cameras on the device. Honestly, the Nothing Phone (3a) series cameras take good shots, and I’d even be happy if the Nothing Phone (3) had similar shooters. Except, I hope it doesn’t have that same ugly camera module and looks more similar to the Nothing Phone (2) or the Nothing Phone (3a.) I like the Nothing Phone (3a) series.

If you don’t want to spend a lot on a phone, of all the phones on the market – it’s the Nothing Phone 3a I’d recommend, pretty much without any hesitation. Simply put, if you want an affordable Android phone that doesn’t have any glaring issues then this is thr one to buy in 2025. It does everything you need a phone to do, does it well, and looks great in the process. With so many of the best cheap phones and best Android phones following a similar design blueprint, Nothing has really done something to stand out here.

Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro hands-on review
Source: GSM Arena English EN→zh-CN
The new Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro don't stray too much from the established Nothing formula, yet they remain quite uniquely positioned on the market, even based on looks alone. Adding a third telephoto camera in this generation is a nice touch. The Pro is clearly the way to go if the telephoto is a big priority for you, but for many, the 2x on the vanilla will suffice just fine. As for the rest of the devices, there is pretty much perfect convergence. Both use the same display, which we found to be excellent in person, and both rely on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, which, while not a flagship chip, has plenty of performance to throw around. Though far from industry-leading, the three-year software support promise is also decent enough.
