Reviews for the OnePlus 10R

80% OnePlus 10R review
Source: Tech Advisor English EN→zh-CN
The OnePlus 10R is not the traditional OnePlus phone users will be tempted to upgrade to but is aimed at bringing a new set of users to the brand. The 150W fast charging is not a gimmick and works well every single time, and the novelty hasn’t worn off for me even after using the device for several weeks. In terms of features, the 10R is fully loaded and there is not much one can complain about except for the mediocre camera performance and minor software glitches. Unless the above are deal-breakers for you, the OnePlus 10R is a great all-rounder and worth considering. In terms of the competition, you could consider other mid-range phones Realme GT 3 Neo, Xiaomi 11T Pro 5G, or Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G.

OnePlus 10R comes with a starting price tag of Rs 38,999. The smartphone packs a powerful processor, a punchy display, and a pretty good camera and not to forget the 150W fast charging support. The phone is a good choice for those who are looking for a mid-range smartphone.

OnePlus 10R Smartphone Review
Source: OI Spice Tech News English EN→zh-CN
The OnePlus 10R smartphone is a great upgrade from its predecessor and offers exceptional features. However, there’s no denying that it’s a rebranded of the Relme GT Neo 3. Despite this, if you are a true fan of OnePlus, it’s nothing to worry about it. With this phone, you will gain long-lasting battery life, 3-year android updates, above-average camera quality, and ample performance. Overall, it’s a great phone that will provide immersive value for money. But if you can wait for a few months, we suggest you purchase the OnePlus 10RT, which is expected to release soon in India. Yet, if you are looking for a phone right now, then there’s no issue purchasing the OnePlus 10R smartphone. On the other hand, you can also check out alternative options like the OnePlus Ace smartphone for all-rounder specs in a decent price range.

OnePlus 10R Camera Review: Old OnePlus in Imaging but Not in Aesthetics
Source: Tech PP English EN→zh-CN
Aside from the lack of OnePlus esthetics and the absence of a notification slider, which many see as a departure from OnePlus’ distinctive appeal, the OnePlus 10R is a pretty solid performer in terms of everyday use. It’s equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max processor, which runs smoothly and easily handles pretty much any mundane task you throw at it, including gaming. The 6.7-inch display with HDR support and 120 Hz refresh rate is ideal for content playback. Finally, the phone has solid battery life and comes with a 150W charger (exclusive to the OnePlus 10R Endurance Edition) that charges the battery in just under 25 minutes – all of which makes the OnePlus 10R a solid offering. However, this isn’t true when you bring the camera performance into play and consider the starting price of 38,999 rupees. The phone suddenly seems overpriced due to its average imaging capabilities, and virtually nothing sets it apart from other devices in its price range. So if cameras are a big obstacle for you when choosing a smartphone, you should look at other devices like the Xiaomi 11T Pro,

OnePlus 10R Review: Barely latching on to the OnePlus spirit
Source: XDA Developers English EN→zh-CN
OnePlus has left the 10R in a very awkward spot. My verdict would’ve been different if it was priced competitively to go against the competition. It’s not a bad phone but I think it doesn’t offer enough value outside of its fast charging trick, which I think will be challenged soon by other manufacturers. Xiaomi’s 11T Pro 5G is already bridging the gap with its 120W Hypercharge, so it’s only a matter of time till we see other devices getting the same treatment in this price range.

78% OnePlus 10R 5G Review: The OnePlus with a Difference
Source: Tech PP English EN→zh-CN
The OnePlus 10R Endurance Edition is available only in a 12 GB / 256 GB RAM and storage version and comes for Rs 43,999. The SuperVOOC Edition retails at Rs 38,999 for its 8 GB/ 128 variant and Rs 42,999 for 12 GB/ 256 GB. The Endurance Edition goes right up against the OnePlus 9RT which comes with a Snapdragon 888 and a slightly better ultrawide sensor but loses out on the fast charging, while the SuperVOOC Edition will have to deal with the Xiaomi 11T Pro, which features a less noticeable design but comes with 120W charging and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chip. The OnePlus 10R is not your usual OnePlus flagship. Still, it is definitely the phone for those who want a OnePlus that’s different without missing out on the flagship level processing power and fast charging. It’s a OnePlus minus the regular design, plus the usual smooth performance and charging speed.

OnePlus 10R 5G Review
Source: Mobygyaan English EN→zh-CN
The OnePlus 10R 5G has a brilliant 10-bit Fluid AMOLED display, a flagship-grade performance with its Dimensity 8100-MAX CPU, and among the fastest charging you will see in its class, the 150W is something you will enjoy. On top, the 50 MP OIS camera takes exceptional shots, other features like, RAM extension, stereo speakers, powerful gaming performance, and OxygenOS perks make the smartphone overall excellent performer in the segment. Such features are quite identical to the rival realme GT Neo 3 which is slightly lesser in terms of pricing (₹36,999 vs ₹38,999). But if you want to stick around with the OnePlus brand, you won’t go wrong with the OnePlus 10R 5G, it certainly has everything you need aside from its polycarbonate design, however, if you want bang for the money, you can consider its identical twin realme GT Neo 3.

OnePlus 10R 5G review: Cross between Realme and OnePlus with little novelty
Source: Business Standard English EN→zh-CN
Priced at Rs 43,999, the OnePlus 10R 5G is expensive than Realme GT Neo 3 5G by Rs 1,000. For the extra money, you get a clean user interface and subtle design. Otherwise, the phone is exactly the same as the Realme smartphone. That said, both the Realme phone and OnePlus smartphones have something in store for everyone. They, however, do not excel on any parameter. The Xiaomi 11T Pro (review) is a better smartphone than the OnePlus 10R 5G and Realme GT Neo 3 5G simply because it sets the benchmark that neither phone could beat.

80% OnePlus 10R 5G (150W Endurance Edition) Review: Identity Crisis
Source: NDTV Gadgets English EN→zh-CN
There's plenty to like about the OnePlus 10R 5G (150W Endurance Edition), provided you aren't a big OnePlus fan. Those new to the brand or wanting to upgrade to a OnePlus phone for the first time will probably not miss the iconic Alert slider. The 10R 5G has a crisp 120Hz Fluid AMOLED display, enough processing power to run demanding games, a main camera that's capable in low light, good battery life, and a 150W charging system that works as advertised. To a OnePlus fan, the missing Alert slider and the familiar OnePlus hand-feel will feel strange. Whether the phone's design looks good or bad is highly subjective but I did not like its sharp edges, as it wasn't very comfortable to hold. It also does not feel premium for a smartphone priced at Rs. 43,999. Indeed, it appears that OnePlus has cut quite a few corners. There's plenty of competition to choose from, many of which offer better value. iQoo's 9 SE (Review) offers better performance (with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC) and equally good cameras starting at Rs. 33,990.

OnePlus 10R Review – Not a “Flagship Killer” Anymore
Source: Cashify English EN→zh-CN
If you’re interested in the OnePlus 10R 150W version, you’ll have to shell out Rs 42,999. It should come as no surprise that the smartphone shares quite a few similarities with the all-new Realme GT Neo 3, which comes at a similar price tag. This phone could be a great mid-range flagship with the specs it has. In addition to its eye-catching aesthetics and bright display, this phone offers solid performance and impressive fast charging support. However, some of the phone’s specifications are merely average. Most of the problems with the phone have to do with the software, something that could be fixed. All in all, the OnePlus 10R is a decent daily-use phone that is suitable for your everyday tasks.

80% OnePlus 10R review: OnePlus goes out of its skin with a budget flagship
Source: The Indian Express English EN→zh-CN
I have over the years tried out every single OnePlus flagship as well as the R and T versions that seem to come shortly after every new edition of the smartphone. I used to think I underst00d that cycle to a large extent, but the speed with which the OnePlus 10R has come has even surprised me. OnePlus has a justification though: that it wants to offer a superior phone to young users who might not have as much to spend as those at whom the OnePlus 10 Pro is aimed at. So the OnePlus 10R is like a flagship lite and we can all just hope buyers get the idea.

80% OnePlus 10R review: There's more than just the 150W fast charging goodness
Source: India Today English EN→zh-CN
So, who should buy the OnePlus 10R? At a starting price of Rs 38,999 for the 80W variant, the OnePlus 10R competes against the Realme GT Neo 3, which is priced slightly lower. The Realme phone comes with a glass back and runs Realme UI 3.0, which is based on Color OS 12. Realme’s skin has a little more bloatware compared to OxygenOS 12. Therefore, we will consider picking the OnePlus 10R here. However, those who want a glass build should look at the Realme GT Neo 3 or any other smartphone in the price range, like the Xiaomi 11T Pro. The camera performance is okay and I would look at the Xiaomi 11T Pro or even the iQOO 9, both of which go head-to-head against the OnePlus 10R in terms of overall performance and hardware.

60% OnePlus 10R review: A Realme in all but name
Source: Android Authority English EN→zh-CN
The OnePlus 10R is an oddly positioned device. It’s not a bad smartphone per se, but the lackluster imaging and less-than-premium materials let it down. Moreover, it is a clear downgrade over the OnePlus 9RT (Rs. 42,999), which is still available for a similar price. Then there’s the inconsistent software to consider. It’s hard to get past the clashing elements strewn across the interface and the loss of some much-loved features, like the hidden apps feature in the app drawer. Despite its shortcomings, the OnePlus 10R does fit a niche. For one, the dual-panel look is certainly a head-turner. And then there’s the blazing-fast 150W charging. Sure, the Realme GT 3 Neo does it too at a lower price, but it comes at the cost of an abundance of bloatware onboard. The OnePlus 10R could be a good fit for users who want the absolute bleeding edge of charging tech and competitive performance, but don’t want to pay flagship prices. I’m just not sure there are enough of those buyers that will be able to overlook the limitations here completely.

OnePlus 10R Specifications, Pros and Cons
Source: OI Spice Tech News English EN→zh-CN
The OnePlus 10R smartphone comes with 5G connectivity at an expected price of $506 (Rs 38,999 in India) approx. The phone carries a 6.7-inches Fluid AMOLED display panel with an impressive 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The OnePlus 10R phone renders on the latest Android 12 OS with the OxygenOS 12.1 user interface. For the chipset, a 5nm – MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max chipset powers the device and can reach up to a max of 2.85 GHz clocking speed. The OnePlus 10R is available in 8GB/12GB RAM with 128GB/256GB internal storage. Besides this, you get a 16MP selfie camera and a triple rear camera with a 50MP main lens that can record 4K videos at 30fps. Thankfully, both cameras have gyro-EIS support for video stabilization. For security, the device offers an under-display optical fingerprint sensor. The smartphone arrives in Sierra Black and Forest Green color options. The phone has a Li-Po 5000 mAh battery for the regular version and Li-Po 4500 mAh for the second version.

OnePlus 10R hands-on review
Source: GSM Arena English EN→zh-CN
The OnePlus 10R is a competent smartphone for the most part. It has an attractive design, great display, good performance, and a fantastic fast charging solution. On the other hand, the cameras are disappointing and a downgrade even over the previous generation model. OnePlus software continues to be iffy and a mess both aesthetically and functionally. Most of the issues with the phone are related to the software, which means there is a potential for them to be fixed but not something you should base your purchase decision around. If ever OnePlus gets its software act together, the OnePlus 10R can be a reasonable purchase. Until then, we recommend looking at the Xiaomi 11T Pro 5G or, if you want to stick with OnePlus, the OnePlus 9RT.

70% OnePlus 10R review: old wine in a new bottle
Source: 91mobiles English EN→zh-CN
Understandably, Realme’s offering checks most of the same boxes too so, between the OnePlus 10R and the GT Neo 3, which device should you buy? Well, if you want a phone with a premium albeit outlandish design and capable cameras, I’d reckon your money will be better spent on the Realme GT Neo 3. On the flip side, if you want a bloat-free interface that offers oodles of customisation features, then you should probably side with the OnePlus 10R. All said and done, the 10R is a good addition to the flagship killer space and the device should only get better as and when software updates and patches roll out.

OnePlus 10R 5G (150W Endurance Edition) First Impressions: For Power Users
Source: NDTV Gadgets English EN→zh-CN
The main rear camera uses a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor and benefits from optical stabilisation. We've seen this sensor in plenty of flagships already, so I'm expecting good results. The ultra-wide camera has an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and no autofocus. The third camera on the back is a 2-megapixel macro camera. OnePlus has upgraded the 9R's selfie camera to a Samsung sensor with the 10R 5G. It has a 16-megapixel resolution along with an f/2.4 aperture. The OnePlus 10R 5G is definitely an exciting new addition to the Rs. 40,000 smartphone segment. If you look past the plastics used for the body and the lack of some familiar OnePlus features, it still manages to offer solid specifications for the price. However, the 10R 5G also faces a direct threat in the form of the Realme GT Neo 3. In addition to its similar pricing and specifications, the GT Neo 3 also comes in two distinct models with support for 80W or 150W charging, making it suspiciously similar to the 10R 5G.
