The OnePlus 7 isn't the only smartphone in its model generation anymore, but it still has the right to play an important role in the upper tier. The exterior design has barely changed compared to the OnePlus 6T. Will this help? We'll find out in this review.

The OnePlus 7 is one of the best smartphones you can get in the value segment. Between the flagship-grade performance, improved imaging capabilities, and the user-friendly Oxygen OS, the phone offers tremendous value for money. The price goes a long way to help justify the lack of certain features, such as wireless charging and an IP rating.

As an upgrade to the earlier 6T, this newer model isn't wildly different, and it launches in the shadow of the top-end Pro 7 too. But that doesn't make it a bad phone: as an affordable flagship it's got all the main features present and correct and will make a superb 5T upgrade or brand new sub-£500 purchase.

The OnePlus 7 is a dependable, affordable flagship smartphone, but if you're looking for fancy 2019 features you won't find them here. It's got high-end power and in-display fingerprint scanner, but borrows a lot from its predecessor.

The OnePlus 7 is a cautious upgrade from the 6T: the same design and the same display with beefed up specs, a new camera, and a few small software tweaks. It's not a game-changer by any means, but it is a confident, ridiculously fast mid-range device that should appeal to anyone who's been tempted by a OnePlus device before. Those that want a true upgrade should consider the OnePlus 7T, boasting many of the headline specs of the 7 Pro.

When OnePlus announced the 7 Pro would launch alongside the bog-standard OnePlus 7, it felt only natural to ignore the cheaper variant in favour of its flashy big brother. However, there’s a strong argument for saying that the OnePlus 7 is the real star of the show; it boasts a gorgeous, pocket-friendly design, excellent software and great performance, and it’s cheaper than the OnePlus 7 Pro – which, while more impressive technically, has a rather annoying pop-up selfie camera (we do wonder how long that will last before it malfunctions) and a much larger body. Sure, the OnePlus 7 is more conventional and doesn’t try to dazzle with technical gimmicks, but it’s also one of the most powerful phones you can buy for under £500. In that regard, it’s a solid upgrade – although we’d arguably recommend it more to OnePlus newcomers and OnePlus 6 owners rather than those who already own the very similar OnePlus 6T.

If you've missed the last few OnePlus flagships, the OnePlus 7 is a no-brainer upgrade. It has an extraordinarily generous 6.4-inch AMOLED display, a fast in-screen fingerprint scanner, blazingly quick flagship internals, and a quietly restrained operating system that only adds features that are genuinely useful. If you already own a OnePlus 6T, you're better off waiting for the next cycle, but those with older hardware will see a helluva lot of bang for their bucks (or pounds) here.

If you hesitated to drop the cash for the OnePlus 7 Pro because of the price, you might be better served by its cheaper sibling. The OP7 might not have that same silky-smooth display, pop-up camera and has fewer cameras, but that doesn’t change the fact that the phone is a great performer on its right.

The question is not if you should buy a OnePlus. It’s arguably the best of the Androids currently available. First-time buyers with a budget of about Rs 25,000 and an eye on flagships should spend an extra Rs 8,000 and bag the OnePlus 7 for Rs 32,999.

The OnePlus 7 is the budget flagship OnePlus was known for before they started getting into the very segment they intended to kill. The good thing about that is while the OnePlus 7 Pro breaches the Rs 50,000 mark, the OnePlus 7 starts at a price lower than what the OnePlus 6T did. For a lesser price, you not only get the same raw performance as the OnePlus 7 Pro, but also an HDR display and a sturdy build. In fact, one of my coworker told me he found the OnePlus 7 more handy than the OnePlus 7 Pro for the form factor it retains from its predecessor. The OnePlus 7 Pro, on the other hand, is heavier and the curved display often results in accidental touches. If OnePlus is your brand of choice and spending over Rs 50,000 is out of the question, the OnePlus 7 is the phone to get.

For the first time in ages, we can point to OnePlus 7's camera as one of the better in the price range, but sadly with virtually all of its competitors offering at least one of the extra focal lengths (ultrawide or telephoto) it really lacks in versatility. Stereo loudspeakers make for an even stronger case, although two of the three nearest rivals come with a dedicated audio jack and memory expansion. But there's no escaping the fact that all of a sudden, the OnePlus phone lost at its own game - being able to match the performance of rivals, while undercutting their prices. It appears then that unless OnePlus considers a prompt price cut, its market success might be very reliant on the loyalty of its fan base and the number of people looking for the exact feature set we listed above.

At the end of the day, the OnePlus 7 delivers on the same promises as earlier OnePlus devices. The internal hardware has been upgraded for 2019, and the 48MP camera at the back holds a lot of promise — provided it receives further updates. The battery life is excellent, the software is about the best you'll find on Android, and like previous years, you're getting great value. You can't ask for much more.

Is it worth an upgrade from the 6T? Absolutely not. It’s a 6T with stereo speakers, a slightly better camera and a newer chipset. If you’re coming from a OnePlus 4 or 5, love Oxygen OS but don’t fancy dropping £700 on the Pro version, then you should definitely check it out, but if you have a 6 or 6T - our advice would be: sit tight for the OnePlus 7T, or if you really want to upgrade now the OnePlus 7 Pro will not disappoint.

OnePlus 7 is a seriously impressive phone that checks almost every box out there. What works the most in its favour is the price that it comes with. At a starting price of Rs 32,999 it will be a tough ask for any phone to go up against this and come out on top. It has the fastest processor, reliable cameras and an excellent battery life. The OnePlus 7 is what we call a truly balanced phone that offers real value.

The OnePlus 7 is one of the most balanced device in the market right now considering price to performance ratio. In the OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus may have a flagship phone now but the Oneplus 7 is still the good old flagship killer. And it is totally worth buying. OnePlus 7 is better than any other smartphone carrying the flagship killer tag. For what it offers, I feel at Rs 32,999, the OnePlus 7 is a solid bargain. If you care about top-notch specifications, the OnePlus 7 delivers on that front. However, smartphones are more than just specifications and it's all about the user experience. With the OnePlus 7, you are assured of polished user experience. At least, that is what I found. This is a phone that will be there for you whenever you need it. It doesn't slow down, has a simple and easy-to-understand interface, offers a good-enough camera performance and tops it all with stupendous battery life. Is there anything left? I don't think so.

While the OnePlus 7 Pro was specced to take on current-gen flagships, the OnePlus 7 is designed to help the company retain its position in the low-cost flagship space. What we like about the OnePlus 7, apart from its aggressive price, is its hardware. The AMOLED display is quite good, and when used in conjunction with this phone's stereo speakers, it does offer a good media experience.

Now to answer the question, should you buy this? This is an excellent value for money proposition and the phone does not disappoint. It delivers on performance, has a good design and camera that works well. There are flaws: the camera software is not perfect, the display could be better and the device does get hot with gaming. Still, OnePlus 7 is a good upgrade option for all users looking to buy a new phone under Rs 35,000. It is also a perfect upgrade for those on older versions of the OnePlus that came before last year.

It is not a perfect phone and it lacks some nice to have features like wireless charging and an IP rating, but it delivers on what it sets out to promise and that is performance. This is one of, if not the fastest Android phones around, period. And that’s not just for the price. The OnePlus 7 has the specs and the brilliant software. More importantly, hardware and software work in tandem to create a usage experience that is one of the best in the business.

The OnePlus 7 may not have a notchless design or a 90Hz display, but it offers the latest hardware at a price point that's lower than its predecessors. The 48MP camera has a lot of potential, and you get the same software experience as the OnePlus 7 Pro. This is already one of the best deals you'll find all year.

If you want the latest and greatest tech, the 7 Pro is the one to go for. An extra £200 is a lot, but if wide-angle photography is important to you, and you want to show off with that cool pop-up selfie lens then it's worth considering. If you want a generally high-performing phone for everyday use and you don't give a flying fiddle about the bells and whistles, go for the standard 7.

If you're a OnePlus 6T user, then upgrading to the OnePlus 7 won't be good value, as most of the updates are incremental. However, if you were thinking about picking up a OnePlus 6T, then it makes complete sense to wait for the OnePlus 7 to go on sale in June. Not only will you be spending less money, but you'll also be getting a much better smartphone overall. We're expecting our review unit to arrive very soon, so stay tuned for our full review in which we'll test the OnePlus 7's performance, cameras, battery life, display, build quality, and more.

You really can’t argue with the price here. Having reviewed the Black Shark 2, a phone with a similar feature set but a less refined finish, we reckon the OnePlus 7 will review at least as well. It’s all going to come down that battery life and camera in real-world use. In addition, with no moving parts, it could even be the safer bet when compared with the Pro - only time will tell on that front.

If the OnePlus 7 Pro is a decided step-change, the 'vanilla' OnePlus 7 is much more of an incremental upgrade. Aside from the camera and the processor, there isn't a whole lot that's radically different compared to the OnePlus 6T.

The OnePlus 7 Pro offers quite a bit of value for what the company is asking, but it's missing a few key features for which consumers might be willing to cough up the extra dough. While the display and camera versatility are much better than they were on the OnePlus 6T, the downgraded battery life, lack of wireless charging, and lack of water resistance make this an option, rather than a no-brainer.

The OnePlus 7 Pro has a higher price tag than almost any other OnePlus device before it, which can be hard to stomach if you expect sub-$600 phones from OnePlus. (The arrival of the $599 OnePlus 7T, which offers some of the same features as the 7 Pro, takes some of the sting away. Read our OnePlus 7 Pro vs. OnePlus 7T face-off to see what trade-offs you make with each phone.) But $669/£649 delivers high-end flagship design, performance and software. Compared with other premium Android handsets, OnePlus delivers in every way — for hundreds of dollars less even with this model's jump in price.

The OnePlus 7 Pro puts in a generally solid performance for playing most types of audio, especially movies and music. Lack of bass power is a problem, despite the device’s reasonable overall volume. Its performance when recording audio is not nearly as strong, and is hampered by very audible artifacts that especially affect background sounds and voices.

Then, look at the price tag, starting at $670, and it’s hard to believe you can get a phone this good this cheap. $670 isn’t a little bit of money, but it is for a flagship Android phone in 2019. Hell, you can almost buy two of these for the price of a Note 10+.

Those who have been waiting for a true flagship from OnePlus should be thrilled with this smartphone. It checks all the right boxes, especially the price, but like every other device out there, it still has its flaws. The company has been pushing out camera updates every few weeks, but it’s still not on par with what Samsung and Google can deliver and the size of the phone with its curved glass on the front will be hard to use for some. If you’re willing to live with those shortcomings, the OnePlus 7 Pro is the best smartphone money can buy if you’re not interested in spending over $700 on a new device. And with prices creeping upwards each and every year, that’s one of the most important factors to consider these days.

The OnePlus 7 Pro has a few surprises behind its stunning all-screen front, unblemished by a notch cutout or punch-hole camera. It hides a novel pop-up selfie camera and offers a 90Hz screen refresh rate that makes games and movie-watching look extremely fluid. Even if it doesn't have the best camera phone, it has features that Apple and Samsung aren’t giving you in 2019, and performance to match. One more surprise, though: this new OnePlus phone now costs almost as much as the iPhone XR and Galaxy S10e.

With the exception of, say, a foldable display, the OnePlus 7 Pro has enough features du jour to keep its fans enticed. That's because OnePlus packed its latest flagship phone with pretty much every trendy phone feature we've seen in the last year or so, including a pop-up selfie camera, an in-display fingerprint sensor and multiple rear cameras. Even a month after the phone's release OnePlus is still doling out goods, like a big camera update and a special edition Almond color variant.

I covered the OnePlus 7 Pro announcement with excitement. This flagship smartphone features a gorgeous 6.67″ AMOLED display; it has a top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chip, and you can get yours with 6, 8, or 12GB RAM and 128 or 256GB user memory. But it was its notch-less screen and the pop-up camera that had my eyebrows raised and my interest piqued.

Trying to find my single “end-all-be-all” phone has become something like the quest for the holy grail. An excellent camera and long battery life are near the top of my list, but that’s just the beginning. It has to also feel good in my hand, not drop the few calls I make or take, be fast, and have a little something extra that gives it a wow factor. The OnePlus 7 Pro ticks almost all of those boxes.

Overall, the positioning for this device is quite weird. It’s still a lot cheaper than the competition, but it skips a lot of fundamentals that many users find important. Its camera is pretty good, but suffers in low light. The battery life is average at best. You can’t officially use this phone in the shower. There is no headphone jack. Nor is there wireless charging. If these are all things you need, you’re going to have to pay for a pricier flagship to get them.

I went looking for reasons not to give the OnePlus 7 Pro full marks, but honestly I've struggled to find much to fault. The display, camera, and core specs are essentially all best-in-class - or close enough to count - while the few shortcuts (wireless charging, an IP rating) are easily explained away by a price point that still undercuts the closest comparable rivals by some way.

The selling price of RM 2999 may not be as low but if you are thinking of investing in a good flagship phone, the OnePlus 7 Pro is a good choice. OnePlus recommendations have been a weird topic in the last few years thanks to that ever-climbing price point. Even now, the OnePlus 7 Pro starts at $669, which is officially higher than the standard $649 cost of yesteryear’s flagships when OnePlus started. This company is not a budget brand anymore.

The OnePlus 7 Pro is in almost every way a premium flagship device, not just for its price, but also for its features. It packs the very best of whatever is available today; a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, upto 12GB RAM, a QHD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a completely notch-free fascia. It performs just as well as one would expect, but tends to heat up during gaming. The battery life has taken a hit due to the impressive display, but this was expected. The camera, while versatile, still needs work on the software side of things, something we've seen OnePlus relentlessly work on.

OnePlus tends to stay very true to Google’s design language, which is made for the average consumer. Google’s camera app is so simple that more advanced users find it lacking. There is no manual mode in the Pixel 3 series, which is a must in modern smartphone cameras. I have wondered why Google didn’t just hide advanced features where they don’t get in the way of its minimalist experience, yet can be found by those of us who want more control. The OnePlus 7 Pro has done exactly that. The OnePlus 7 Pro camera app strikes the perfect balance between ease of use and advanced feature availability. Launch the application and you will find the usual camera rotation, shutter, and preview buttons at the bottom. Right above these there are four simple camera modes: video, photo, portrait, and nightscape.

If you were expecting OnePlus to have cut corners with the 7 Pro to achieve such a competitive price point, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Apart from a few minor issues, such as the absence of the 3.5mm headphone jack and the lack of waterproofing, the 7 Pro is a force to be reckoned with. The OnePlus 7 Pro undercuts the price of rival brands’ flagship smartphones, offering a better performance-per-pound ratio. This is the best smartphone the Chinese brand has produced, and the best value flagship on the market too.

OnePlus 7 Pro 5G is a powerhouse flagship smartphone that brings fibre broadband speeds to your pocket – location permitting, naturally. It's unapologetically ambitious and sports a gorgeous 90Hz Fluid AMOLED display, top-of-the-line internals, and unmatched 30W Warp Charging speeds. But like the plain old 4G variant, there are a number of areas where the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G doesn't quite match its similarly-priced rivals like the Samsung Galaxy S10e and iPhone XR – there's no wireless charging, no expandable storage, no IP Rating for water resistance... and so on. If you can get a strong 5G signal at home or on your commute, there's a lot to love here, but don't expect perfection.

But this is the important bit: while it might be a little bit off the pace of those worthies (and it is not too far off), the OnePlus 7 Pro is also priced well below them. It definitely has scored on the design front, where it is one of the best-looking Android flagships of the year, with that amazingly classy back and that edge to edge display. Yes, there is the odd wobble in performance from time to time, but to the brand’s immense credit, it has been trying to fix matters with one software update after another.

However for me I feel that the phone is cutting a bit too many corner in terms of its camera. I could have lived with the slightly worse speakers and somewhat lower battery performance in order to enjoy the fantastic 90Hz screen, however the camera disadvantages are just a tad too much. OnePlus can very much remedy these aspects over the coming weeks and months, and I’m very sure there will be software updates in this regard, but it's unknown just exactly how much OnePlus will improve these aspects, and one shouldn’t base one’s purchasing decisions today on tomorrow’s possible improvements.

OnePlus have been hard at work working on these bugs and even if they only manage to fix the ghost touches this phone makes a very compelling case for buying it. The camera is basically as good as where it is priced — around the AU$1000 mark — but if they manage to improve it, and we have seen already several improvements in the first few weeks of its existence, then this will be the phone of the year.

Finally, if there's one area that we were hoping for substantial improvement from OnePlus, it would be camera performance. Thankfully, OnePlus delivered in spades with the OnePlus 7 Pro. From Portrait mode shooting, to Night Sight, wide angle shots, HDR and standard low light capture, the OnePlus 7 Pro now competes with some of the best phone camera systems on the market today. You will not be disappointed with the OnePlus 7 Pro's camera output and it seems OnePlus is hell-bent on continuous improvement, as the company has been releasing firmware drops regularly that continue to make it better.

As I mentioned in the introduction to this review, I've never felt like OnePlus smartphones were the best before. Sure, they had flagship parts for a price that's much lower than competitors, but if the price of the OnePlus 6T was the same as a Galaxy S9 or a Huawei P20 Pro, I certainly wouldn't pick the OnePlus 6T. That changes with the OnePlus 7 Pro. Despite some issues that I've had with the software, and there have been many, this is an objectively awesome phone, regardless of the price. I also have faith in OnePlus that there will be software updates that fix the issues that I've had.

Its near bezel-less screen, silky-smooth rear glass panel, cool pop-up camera mechanism and leading battery life make the OnePlus 7 Pro one of 2019’s most powerful phones. However, its less-than-stellar camera makes its users look elsewhere. So, is the OnePlus 7 Pro worth the price? Should you upgrade from your existing OnePlus device? The OnePlus 7 Pro is officially available in the Philippines through Digital Walker for Php 38,990 for the 6GB/128GB variant. That’s significantly more money than what the OnePlus 6T sold for, and while the phone still looks to be a great value over the offerings of bigger outfits like Huawei and Samsung, it’s difficult to call the OnePlus 7 Pro a flagship killer.

Priced at Rs 57,999 (12GB/256GB), the OnePlus 7 Pro is an expensive affair, but a worthy one. Its design, though, might not impress everyone, and the camera modules might seem inferior to other premium devices. Except these, the phone has everything that you expect from a premium flagship smartphone. It is also the only non-gaming smartphone that matches the performance of gaming-centric smartphones.

OnePlus 7 Pro is an ambitious, brawny, beautiful flagship that shows what this spunky start-up is capable of when it's not designing a budget-conscious device. The 90Hz Fluid AMOLED is gorgeous, the handset is blink-and-you'll-miss-it fast, and the 30W Warp Charging is unmatched. However, there are other areas where the OnePlus 7 Pro isn't quite on the same level as similarly priced rivals like the Samsung Galaxy S10e and iPhone XR – there's no wireless charging, no expandable storage, no adjustable bokeh blur in Portrait Mode, no IP Rating for water resistance... the list goes on. There's a lot to love here, but the new higher price tag means you'll want to look closely at the competition before you take the plunge.

Adding the ‘Pro’ suffix to a phone should come with something big, and OnePlus gave it a good shot with its camera. The results are encouraging, and certainly better than any model that came before it. The problem is the company didn’t go far enough to let users shoot how they want. I’m referring to the limited use of the extra lenses, but also of the lack of manual control for an important feature like Nightscape. Still, I liked shooting with this 7 Pro because it gave me the confidence I could capture something good with it. For you to feel the same way, you would need to dive in and take advantage of everything OnePlus threw into this device’s camera features.

The OnePlus 7 Pro is a power packed phone. All the high-end specs are convincing in themselves, but the practical usage experience is even better. Of course, it’s not perfect but it is surely good enough to be perfect for most people. It has a gorgeous display, is excellent for gaming, has an assuring battery mileage, outputs rich audio, and has a very affable software. On the downside, it’s a tad too big and bulky and the camera performance still isn’t the best in the market. If you can live with these cons and are willing to shell out the premium, we’d recommend the OnePlus 7 Pro as a great buy.

On the downside, it’s a tad too big and bulky and the camera performance still isn’t the best in the market. If you can live with these cons and are willing to shell out the premium, we’d recommend the OnePlus 7 Pro as a great buy.

The phone is incredible fast, the screen is large, immersive, has beautiful colors, the new refresh rate makes a difference, the cameras have improved, and battery life, while not as great is still solid. And all of that, comes at a price still much lower than iPhones and Galaxies.

With top-end smartphone processor onboard, impressive display, ample RAM and storage options, beefed-up camera setup and and efficient battery, OnePlus is surely among the best premium smartphones right now. However, there still are some misses in the form of wireless charging and the overall camera performance. Even though wireless charging may still not a big issue for many, cameras are. Like we said above, the OnePlus smartphones are not really known for cameras and that stays true even with the OnePlus 7 Pro. So, if you have enough to spend, by all means this is a worthy handset as you would typically have to shell out more to get all these features in a single smartphone. However, if you want to make better use of the money, we would still recommend you to save your money for OnePlus 7, which will be coming out in June.

The OnePlus 7 Pro manages to innovate in one of the most competitive technology markets out there while still circumventing convention by undercutting the majority of the competition on cost. Even if wireless charging and water resistance aren't part of the equation, It has one of the nicest displays you'll find on a phone, is a superb performer, offers great battery life and the camera is always improving.

With an unrivalled edge-to-edge display and fantastic performance, the OnePlus 7 Pro is every bit reaching for the flagship stars. But with a higher price point, some strong competition - especially on the camera front, where the Pro has some questions remaining - can it outshine Google, Samsung and Huawei's flagships?

In sum, the OnePlus 7 Pro has very good cameras that are capable of great things. They just need to do them often enough to move from being very good to excellent. They have shades of the best Android phones in them, now they just need to add the iPhone’s lethal consistency to their performance. And they also need to do quickly, given the price premium attached to the device. OnePlus, in best tradition, seems to be working on this. Even as we write this, our OnePlus 7 Pro has received an Oxygen OS update.

Yes, if you are looking for a top-notch flagship and don’t really want to spend top dollars. Let’s say the OnePlus 7 Pro is as good as the Samsung Galaxy S10+, but not as expensive and maybe without all the ecosystem paraphernalia, Samsung will offer. Based on a few days of usage, I would call it the best Android in this price range, one that offers you a great display and camera, plus dependable overall performance.

T-Mobile is again the exclusive U.S. carrier for the OnePlus 7 Pro, but it’ll work with any network. I’m a Verizon subscriber and for the first time, I was able to pop in my SIM into a OnePlus phone and immediately start using it without any hiccups or workarounds. That’s something that can’t be said for most international phones: Anyone can buy an unlocked OnePlus 7 Pro without worrying whether it’ll work with their network. And unless they either hate wires or love water, I suspect a lot of would-be Pixel 3 XL and Galaxy S10+ buyers are going to do just that.

This phone is a beast. The Snapdragon 855 is blisteringly quick, 12 GB RAM is overkill, the 4,000 mAh battery can get you through two days of use and Warp Charge will get your phone juiced up for the day in 30 minutes flat. If that wasn’t enough, you’re getting three cameras on the rear (one’s 48 MP), one on the front (it pops up, by the way), an in-display fingerprint scanner, a colour-accurate 6.67-inch OLED display that runs at 90 Hz and – I’m running out of breath here – the loudest speakers we’ve yet heard on a smartphone.

The OnePlus 7 Pro is only the first of many Snapdragon 855 phones that will launch in India. The Asus ZenFone 6 is another phone that's confirmed to have this chipset and will be launching really soon. We can also expect budget power houses such as the Poco F2, which will probably undercut both OnePlus and Asus, if Xiaomi plays its cards right. Let's not forget the vanilla OnePlus 7 itself, which may lack the fancy new design and elaborate camera setup, but still retains the most powerful SoC, at a lower price.

Though its depth of area was shorter than the Pixel 3, Galaxy S10E and that iPhone XR, the falloff between the fore- and background was clean whereas my topic seemed sharp. One novel factor concerning the cellphone is its front-facing digital camera. It’s embedded contained in the cellphone and pops up out of the highest. The mechanism works easily and rapidly, and its general building appears fairly sturdy. (Just do not attempt to snap it off or something.) If you by accident drop the cellphone, the digital camera will rapidly pop again inside. The selfie digital camera takes stable portrait pictures too, with faces trying clear with a constant blur impact, and you too can alter the look in submit.

With great scores across almost all test categories, you can be assured of outstanding photos and videos from the OnePlus 7 Pro in almost any situation.

For OnePlus, the OnePlus 7 Pro is a very important phone. Year after year, its fans have asked for a no-holds-barred flagship phone. With the OnePlus 7 Pro, the company tries to answer the prayers of its fans. And it mostly succeeds. There are a few things that could have been better with the OnePlus 7 Pro -- screen brightness and the front camera -- but truly these are niggles and what phone doesn't have a few of these.

So overall, the OnePlus 7 Pro will deliver flagship performance in every department except it won't cost as much as a flagship smartphone by the major brands. There are some trade-offs - but OnePlus believes it's made the right ones keeping its consumers in mind. From where we're standing, they do have a point, and if you are not obsessed with photography, we can wholeheartedly recommend this phone as it has all that it takes to keep you happy day in and day out.

But if you forget the demographics and marketing, this is just the sort of ultra-high-end phone OnePlus should make. It has the features a lot of people want, not a load of extras that look good on an Amazon web page.

OnePlus reversed most of its mistakes with the 6T and brought out a surprisingly ambitious OnePlus 7 Pro, packing several rare components that barely anyone else has procured. The result is a beast of a device that delivers fantastic mobile cinematic plus gaming experience, and one that’s in a well-designed package.

Without a doubt, the OnePlus 7 Pro is the best smartphone OnePlus has ever released. What it isn't, is the phone that will make you into a OnePlus fan if you weren't already one. The OnePlus 7 Pro doesn't -- in any meaningful way -- address the two major critiques people have made of past OnePlus phones.

I’m just going to be as straight as I can be here – the OnePlus 7 Pro is a fantastic phone. This may be OnePlus’ most expensive phone to date as it aims to truly compete with Samsung and Google and Apple, but it’s still hundreds less than the phones offered by those companies as it matches them spec-by-spec.

At last, OnePlus has a phone that’s ready to not just stand on-par with higher-priced phones, it’s able to surpass them. With this phone, OnePlus has a product that’s as good as most any phone on the market today. Is the OnePlus 7 Pro a good phone to buy at launch? With what I and we have experienced with this model, I say yes, it’s well worth the cash.

Some of those competitors will have must-have features for many customers — the Pixel’s camera and iOS on the iPhone come to mind. But if you don’t have a compelling need for a feature on one of those other big phones, I can’t think of a compelling reason to not buy this one.

The OnePlus 7T is a powerful update from its predecessor and comes with many features previously reserved for the "Pro" model. This sounds like a good thing for all buyers, but you'll find out in this review if the budget high-end phone is really worth it.

Once again OnePlus has produced a gorgeous, rapid and super slick Android phone which, as the Chinese maker has become renowned for, goes toe-to-toe with far more powerful flagships for significantly less money. OnePlus has been iterating on this device across multiple yearly phone cycles now and, arguably, the past 18 months has seen it pull up just short. The OnePlus 7T, though, sees the formula get riffed on one more time and with near-perfect results, producing a phone that is impossible not to recommend.

The OnePlus 7T brings all the best features from the OnePlus 7 Pro, such as the 90Hz display and a great triple camera system, to a lower price point. For just $499, is this one of the best mid-range phones in the market?

The OnePlus 7T continues to be one of the fastest phones in the market today. The Snapdragon 855+ chipset has zero issues in 2020, and the device is still a performance monster thanks to the optimized software and smooth 90Hz AMOLED display. The software has picked up regular updates with bug fixes and security patches, and the cameras have also gotten better over the last six months. For $499, you won't find a better deal in 2020.

Even if most products get forgotten by the media after their review period, there are a few that stand out. Gadgets that people still ask about months later. Some that we even decide to hold on to as daily drivers, and that we get to see age over time. The OnePlus 7T is one of them. Not sure if you remember, but I called this my favorite OnePlus device ever, and it was because of a few elemental things that I feel the 7 Pro didn't achieve.

I tested it. I talked to it. I shot it. I shot with it. I even broke it. The only thing I didn’t do with one of last year’s most important Android phones … was review it. While it’s not the budget gangbuster of the sort that made its maker famous ... if you’re shopping Androids at the top of 2020, the OnePlus 7T should still be near the top of your list. Join me for the long-delayed OnePlus 7T Review!

It might not have the sharper display of the 7 Pro, but we think the 7T is the best OnePlus phone this year, regardless of cost. The big, flat and skinny-bezeled screen on the front is gorgeous, the battery lasts, the performance is speedy, and the cameras are fun to play with.

At 549, the 7T is more expensive than the Google Pixel 4 and not far off the S10 (still well behind the iPhone, though) which suggests that the company's miraculous run of producing pound for pound value is over. However, this doesn't have the shoddy battery life of the Pixel 4, or the small display issues and is still over 100 cheaper than Samsung or Huawei's flagships. It's no longer as much of a bargain, but it is still a belter.

If you’re shopping for a new smartphone, the OnePlus 7T is a no-brainer. If you need a headphone jack, incredible battery life, or a high-resolution display you’ll need to shop elsewhere. But if you’re looking for a phone that does everything well — and is a lot of fun to use — it’s hard not to instantly recommend the OnePlus 7T.

The OnePlus 7T is one of the best smartphones to own in 2019. The phone is essentially a stellar showcase of all that’s good in the smartphone industry. The latest processor, the fastest storage, a bright and fast display, and a premium design. Save for the cameras, which still needs some improvement, this is as good a flagship as any. Best of all, OnePlus manages to deliver all this at an affordable price that’s quite close to the OnePlus 7. If you are on the lookout for a phone that won’t let you down, this is one to get.

Overall, for the money, this is one helluva phone. Fast, dependable, great styling and a real stand-out product from the buys at OnePlus. Trust me, you will not be disappointed with this phone. Buy it here for £549 or grab it on networks like Three for £38 per month with £29 up-front. It’s a proper bargain. Leading-edge specs, an excellent camera, a sumptuous screen, great user interface and brilliant design for almost half the money you’d spend on heavily-advertised flagships from other makers.

If you are coming from the OnePlus 6T or even lower you will love the additions to the 7T such as the faster processor, smooth 90Hz display and significantly better camera system. Its price point of $599.99 is a sweet spot and still manages to uncut some of the larger flagships out there. Its also one of the few that has the latest Android 10 out the box. It has everything you want in a phone and I can only say to look at the 7Pro as they been on/off sale and you want a full no notch display, curves and a higher resolution.

It's pretty clear why the OnePlus 7T is such a huge upgrade compared to the 7, and that has everything to do with the competition. The 'flagship killer' space is more crowded now than ever, and companies like Xiaomi and Realme are definitely thinking of capturing more of it at the expense of OnePlus. As a sort of "6TT", the OnePlus 7 did little to convince prospective customers that it's the choice to go with over cheaper competitors, so we're assuming that resulted in less than stellar sales.

Between the OnePlus 7T and its more expensive Pro brother, the former is a better buy if you’re looking to upgrade to a flagship this 2019. There’s really no describing how smooth that 90Hz refresh rate looks in person, which is just cherry on top of a really nice-looking fluid AMOLED panel.

Now, I’ve pushed this. I’ve perhaps done a few things that you wouldn’t normally do. Standing in a completely pitch-black field, shiverring cold and generally not holding the phone as still as I should’ve – all stuff you might not do. For the most part though, when you’re taking shots in low-light conditions, you never need that flash. Just snap away and you’ll get shots like this…

You’re also getting the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor on this device, which is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. For me, the OnePlus 7T is another testament of the fact that smartphones have hit a sweet spot where it is near perfect in every aspect from processor to the camera and battery life. For users, this means picking a new flagship is as easy as buying a fridge, you don’t have to worry anymore about the core features, just make a mental note of the brand you love or what to buy. At Rs 37,999 for the base variant with 128GB storage, the OnePlus 7T is a smartphone rich in specifications, but it needs some software polishing. Considering OnePlus’ past record on software updates, it is safe to assume that the phone’s current limitations in OS, camera performance, and display inaccuracy would be addressed through future software updates. Until then, exploring Asus’ gaming-centric ROG Phone II (review) — which has the same price tag as the OnePlus 7T but a lot more to offer — seems a better choice.

That's not to say that you'd ever regret this purchase. It's a great phone with a great camera. It has the best chipset that you can buy, UFS 3.0 storage, 8GB RAM, a 90Hz AMOLED display, great battery life and more. You will absolutely love this phone. I just think that you're still better off with the OnePlus 7 Pro, even though it also doesn't have wireless charging. That's fantastic value when you consider the OnePlus 7T costs just ₹37,999.

More lens and photo gameplay, bigger battery capacity and flash charging, and a smoother system. For OnePlus 7, these upgrades are really small and not a surprise, but OnePlus 7T does complete it. The “mission”, a substantial upgrade is not necessary, more surprises and innovations let us wait to see next spring. The existing upgrades add up, stepping forward on the frame of OnePlus 7, filling up his shortboard, bringing a better user experience, moving closer to the front of the hardware.

If you’re not concerned with the camera, the OnePlus 7T makes more sense than almost every other flagship on the market. Obviously, though, that won’t be the case for everyone, since cameras are a huge selling point on all of these phones. If you’re on a budget and do care about the camera, though, the Pixel 3a seems like the better option as opposed to dropping more cash on a more expensive phone.

It has some of the specs of the Pros, a touch of their design and has pricing that is classic OnePlus, as compared to its slightly more premium 2019 avatar. It is perhaps what the OnePlus 7 should have been – the soul of the Pro in the body of the regular with a relatively affordable price tag. If that is not a killer combination for anyone looking for a flagship device on a relatively tight budget, we do not know what is.

I could have straight away recommended the OnePlus 7T unless it was for the ROG Phone II. This is where personal preferences heavily come into play. For a mainstream Android smartphone with top-notch hardware, brilliant camera performance and the best software experience in the market, you can’t go wrong with the 7T. However, if you’re seeking some extra features in a chunky gaming smartphone, then you could look at the ROG Phone II since both of them are neck-and-neck in performance.

The OnePlus 7T is quite the upgrade over the standard OnePlus 7, sporting a larger 6.55in display, a bigger battery, improved camera setup and 30W fast charging support. The design is subtle but eye-catching, enhanced by the fourth-gen frosted matte glass finish. But while it's an incredible bit of kit, a handful of bugs and the odd feature omissions stop it from being the ultimate smartphone in 2019.

The OnePlus 7T offers you what you pay for. The design looks beautiful, there are no performance issues with the phone, and the camera works well. This is the perfect flagship killer available in the market. It runs on Android 10 based on Oxygen OS and OnePlus constantly provides updates for their smartphones so if you face any minor issues with the OS right now they will definitely get solved in the future. The only complain we have is regarding the battery because at this price OnePlus can easily give a bigger battery with their smartphone. Apart from that, there are no issues and the OnePlus 7T gets a thumbs up from our side.

That said, the OnePlus 7T is still a great phone and a fantastic value. If you don’t care about these few omissions, the OnePlus 7T is arguably one of the highest performing Android phones currently available and the user experience is solid. At less than $600 for a phone of this caliber, the OnePlus 7T is a steal and we highly recommend it.

All in all, the OnePlus 7T is another great phone by OnePlus. It’s just incredibly fast and smooth in a way that many more expensive Android phones could learn a lesson. It also has a beautiful screen and excellent battery life, and the only area where we would say it falls short of top phone expectations are the camera. If you are looking for the best deal in mobile, OnePlus still delivers and the 7T should be high on your list.

OnePlus 7T is a peculiar phone in the sense that it falls right between OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro. Priced at Rs 37,999, its price is also bang in the middle of the OnePlus 7 (Rs 32,999) and OnePlus 7 Pro (Rs 48,999). OnePlus has shied away from its usual strategy of offering incremental upgrades with its T series as this smartphone boasts of a different design.

OnePlus has delivered a solid update to the OnePlus 7, but we can't help but feel that this is the model that should have been launched four months ago. Anyone who has bought a OnePlus 7 (Review) recently will feel a bit annoyed, and rightly so. Many who paid much more for the OnePlus 7 Pro (Review) might also be miffed. OnePlus would do well to launch its refreshes on a more predictable schedule like other manufacturers in the premium space do.

It's always easy to get a little carried away with hand-on reviews, but this is a considerable upgrade from the 7. In truth, this feels less of an upgrade to the 7 and more a compact version of the 7Pro. It both looks and feels more like a premium flagship device. How it operates is obviously a different matter and one we can't answer that till we test it.

The OnePlus 7T is one of the best devices OnePlus has made in years. It has some the best specs available on the market, the latest Android has to offer, and a great camera system, all for $599. Personally, I feel the 7T puts the OnePlus 7 Pro in an even weirder position than before. The 7T is cheaper with better specs (minus screen resolution and battery capacity). Sure, the 7 Pro offers the pop-up selfie camera, but the notch in this device really doesn’t bother me. If you’re shopping for a new smartphone, the OnePlus 7T is a no-brainer. If you need a headphone jack, incredible battery life, or a high-resolution display you’ll need to shop elsewhere. Taking everything I've said into account, it's hard to go wrong with the OnePlus 7T. It might not have the reputation of a Samsung or Pixel device, but after my time with the phone, I've come to the conclusion that there's nothing significantly wrong with it. Lastly, the OnePlus 7T has a bigger RAM (8GB over the 6T's 6GB). It's another one-up that represents the progress OnePlus has made in the last year since the arrival of its 6T. The Chinese brand has perhaps made the biggest leaps in camera technology, although smaller upgrades across battery, screen and software all combine to provide a worthy upgrade – if the price is right, of course. While we expect the 7T to come in a fair bit below the 7 Pro (from-£649) – sub-£500 would be nice, eh? – we’ll have to wait a fortnight for pricing details of the 128GB and 256GB variants to be announced. That's when we'll have our full verdict stamped with an appropriate star rating.

Do improvements from the 6T to the 7 mean the 6T is now no longer good? Of course not! It’s still the scrappy fighter we experienced with our original OnePlus 6T Review from last year. Is the OnePlus 7T worth $50 (or more) than a brand new OnePlus 6T today? Yes, I think so – if only for the improved set of cameras. Each time OnePlus releases a new phone, they seem to improve their ability to implement the right set of features for the best possible value.

It might not have the sharper display of the 7 Pro, but we think the 7T is the best OnePlus phone this year, regardless of cost. The big, flat and skinny-bezeled screen on the front is gorgeous, the battery lasts, the performance is speedy, and the cameras are fun to play with.

At this level, it might be laborious to maintain monitor of what number of telephones OnePlus has launched this yr. All it’s worthwhile to know, although, is that the OnePlus 7T is not as “premium” because the OnePlus 7 Pro, but it surely’s nonetheless product of one of the best bits. That consists of the 90Hz display, a triple rear digital camera that takes glorious low-light photographs and a fast-charging battery. It additionally has the newest Android 10 out of the field and it is cheaper besides, at simply $599. (UK pricing is unavailable at the moment, however that is about £485. The cellphone will not be offered in Australia.)

The OnePlus 7T is a phenomenal smartphone that bridges the gap between the company’s standard and Pro lines, featuring a large 6.55in AMOLED display with speedy 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10 support, a triple-camera setup on the rear consisting of a wide, ultra-wide and telephoto lens and rapid 30W charging that boosts your phone to almost 50 percent in just 20 minutes. The design is eye-catching without being too in-your-face, and the lightweight form factor makes it feel good in the hand too. Admittedly it’s not the perfect smartphone with a slightly buggy Super Stabilised video mode and a 60fps cap on games despite the 90Hz refresh rate, but there’s still a lot to be excited about with the OnePlus 7T – especially at a sub-flagship price point.

Even though OnePlus has placed the focus on the OnePlus 7T: The OnePlus 7T Pro has once again turned out to be a really good smartphone. Its price, however, is slowly creeping up to match its competitors. Does that make it loose its appeal? Find out in our review.
Old against new. Similar to the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, the OnePlus 8 Pro has risen to the camera elite this year. But are the differences to the previous 7T Pro big enough to be worth the high surcharge? We clarify this in our camera test for the two OnePlus smartphones.

The OnePlus 7T Pro isn’t exactly a revolution. At best, it offers minor improvements compared to its predecessor, the admittedly excellent OnePlus 7 Pro. If you’re an existing OnePlus 7 customer, it's unlikely you'll be wanted to rush out and upgrade your device, and if you're weighing up between the OnePlus 7T Pro and rival devices, there’s not a great deal in the actual design and engineering of the phone that might tip your hand. Saying that, it's a bit of a steal. The OnePlus 7T Pro fetches less than £600 before tax. For that, you’re getting a host of top-end features typically reserved for more expensive devices, including a decent camera array, a high-end design and a market-leading 90Hz display. More modest pricing from recent rivals, such as the likes of Xiaomi and Honor, means that the OnePlus isn’t quite the no-brainer it used to be, but it’s still good value for a phone that can happily keep up with the big boys – if not quite outstrip them.

The OnePlus 7T Pro is as close as OnePlus has gotten to the upper echelons of smartphone tech. It brings finesse to a game that the company has perfected, and melds top of the line hardware with a software build that truly impresses. Unfortunately, the cameras are just shy of greatness, and the lack of an IP rating at this price is regrettable.

With plenty in the positives column and only one or two negatives to mention, the OnePlus 7T Pro is instantly one of our favourite phones – even if it is only a minor upgrade over the OnePlus 7T.

And two, what do you really want? If it’s a great display, almost top-of-its-class specs, and you can live with a camera that’s decent but isn’t quite flagship-class, the OnePlus 7T Pro is still a great device to buy at its price, even in 2020.

It's not often we pick a device and simply choose to run with it as our daily driver for several months. This job affords us some privileges, and one of them is being spoilt for choice when it comes to picking a phone to use as your primary from the several on offer. So then why did some of us choose the OnePlus 7T Pro, and the OnePlus 7 Pro before it?

OnePlus 7T Pro is a fantastic phone in most departments, just as the OnePlus 7 Pro is. And that's its biggest problem: it doesn't offer anything over what the 7 Pro can do, and so feels a little like a pointless update and maybe a kick in the teeth for those who bought the 7 Pro in the months leading up to its launch.

Despite being a very incremental upgrade over the OnePlus 7 Pro, the 7T Pro is a capable smartphone. Its imaging scores put it soundly in the upper echelons of our database, and its results rarely disappoint. Overall image quality is very good, with accurate exposure, generally pleasant color, and strong detail.

OnePlus is still a relatively new player in the phone world but they are attacking the big boys head on with their flagship OnePlus 7T Pro that was released in October last year. On paper this phone is offering great specs at an excellent price point but how does it hold up in real life? Is it as good as it looks or is this too good to be true? We find out today.

Using the OnePlus 7T Pro for longer than the usual review period has been an enjoyable experience. I'm a big fan of the Reading (monochrome screen) mode and the hardware slider that controls the ringer. These are staples on OnePlus handsets, though, and I'm not convinced the 7T Pro is hugely better than the somewhat less expensive (£649) OnePlus 7 Pro. OnePlus fans may want to do a 'compare and contrast':

The OnePlus is a universe of its own. If you are not up for a beautiful, edge-edge screen and have no use for industry-best hardware for Rs 53,999, the OnePlus 7T with comparable specs -- 8GM RAM, Snapdragon 855 SoC and 128 GB storage – and a slightly low-resolution 6.55-inch screen that has a tiny camera notch, for Rs 34,999, is a near-perfect device. Even the OnePlus 7 starting at Rs 29,990 is a high-performing flagship. The 6-series is still very relevant and the 5-series is far from obsolete. If it is dependable performance you are looking for, just pick any one of them.

One thing we had to understand that, OnePlus is not trying to build an entirely new smartphone as the OnePlus 7T Pro is a meant to be an upgrade to its predecessor and it manages to lift that weight. For those who already own OnePlus 7 or OnePlus 7 Pro, can skip this altogether and wait for the next smartphone from OnePlus.

The OnePlus 7T Pro boasts an excellent 90Hz display, a powerful chipset capable of a high-end gaming experience and a great triple-camera setup that performs well in most conditions. But, with such a similar offering to the cheaper OnePlus 7T, the 7T Pro is amongst the best smartphones that we can't wholeheartedly recommend.

At around the same price as the Pixel 4, we'd be tempted to recommend this over Google's 2019 flagship – maybe not in terms of camera or the on-board software, but in terms of the design and the specs. It's another impressive offering from OnePlus, and if you find the price too steep, there's always the OnePlus 7T.

The OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition comes with a hefty title -- the one of being most expensive OnePlus smartphone -- and a hefty price tag. The brand that started off as a flagship killer has now managed to reach a price tag of almost Rs 60,000 which may seem a lot to some potential buyers making them stick to the regular variant depending on their needs. No doubt, with specifications like 12GB RAM, 256GB internal storage and Warp Charge 30T fast charge support, this is the most-powerful OnePlus smartphone right now. However, the needs of an average user will be satisfied with the specs offered by the standard OnePlus 7T Pro.

Should you upgrade if you already own another 2019 flagship phone? No, you probably shouldn’t. If you, however, are rolling with an older OnePlus phone – or any older Android phone, for that matter – then I wholeheartedly recommend the OnePlus 7T Pro. It’s a wonderful phone and by far one of the best released in 2019.

The 90Hz domain is slowly starting to populate, but OnePlus is still the first smartphone that comes to mind when we think of a phone with a high-refresh-rate screen. The 7T Pro has a lot more to offer, though - from the OLED quality through the great design and long battery life to the excellent camera skills. And this entire set comes with a very competitive price. OnePlus is still in the the flagship killing business - for at least another smartphone cycle.

The OnePlus 7T is as capable as the 7T Pro on the performance and camera fronts. Priced at Rs 53,999, you're paying 16k extra (compared to the 8 GB + 128 GB variant of the 7T) for a notch-less and bigger display, a pop-up selfie shooter, some extra RAM, double the internal storage and slightly better battery capacity.

The OnePlus 7T Pro is a high-spec phone with a reasonably good camera at a price that’s still cheaper than many other flagships. I don’t think it’s quite the steal it was now that the OnePlus 7T has inherited what I think is the 7 Pro’s best feature, its 90Hz refresh rate. But if you want to make sure you’re getting the absolute best phone that OnePlus currently produces (and one of the best smartphone screens, full stop), then the 7T Pro could yet earn its price premium.

If you still have a OnePlus 5 or 6T and are looking for an update and have Rs 53,999 to shell out, I would say get the OnePlus 7T Pro. I think it’s an excellent choice. You are getting a phone that has the best specs and possibly a great camera. However, don’t ignore the OnePlus 7T completely. It only costs Rs 37,999, and offers everything you need from a flagship Android smartphone in 2019. Looking at the OnePlus 7T Pro, we can't help but feel as though OnePlus was obligated to refresh the OnePlus 7 Pro, just so it wouldn't look old and irrelevant now that we have the OnePlus 7T. We would have liked to have seen more meaningful upgrades, like the OnePlus 7T received, but this isn't the case with the OnePlus 7T Pro. There isn't much differentiation between the two product tiers anymore, apart from the higher-resolution curved display and the pop-up camera on the more expensive model.

As you see, there are not a lot of differences between the OnePlus 7 Pro and the OnePlus 7T Pro. We would have liked to see OnePlus do more for this device, perhaps add wireless charging or proper dust and water-resistance certification. And while it may seem futile to wish for it now, we would have still liked to see the headphone jack back (or at least an adapter in the box). We also don't really care for the curved display and would like to see the screen flat like on the OnePlus 7T.

Ignoring the lack of a 12GB RAM option, the 7T Pro is on the whole a small upgrade on the 7 Pro, making what was already great just a little bit greater. The changes should be enough to convince users of older OnePlus phones to switch, but probably not enough to convince existing 7 Pro users to trade in. At £699 (that's $865 if you do a straight conversion to U.S. dollars, though phone makers typically adjust pricing by region), the OnePlus 7T Pro is still a good deal if you’re happy with the phone’s size. But the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7 Pro — both of which are available in both the U.S. and UK — are still worth considering for providing near identical specs for a smaller price.

The OnePlus 7 Pro is currently my favorite overall Android phone, and the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G is my favorite 5G phone. It's powerful, affordable, and doesn't overheat. Its network, in the nine cities where it's available, has superior coverage. It doesn't have the ultimate 5G performance, but it's good enough at a price that doesn't make me shudder. What's not to love?

The OnePlus 7 Pro 5G is an awesome phone, with a stunning 90Hz OLED display, a solid camera with 3x optical zoom, a beautiful Nebula Blue design, and it doesn't have a notch. This is definitely a phone worth buying.

The OnePlus 7 Pro 5G is minimally different from its non-5G version, but that's okay – the base phone is phenomenally powerful at a lower price than the competition, and thus is one of the least expensive options for hooking up to one of the next-gen phone networks.

The second cooperation between mobile phone manufacturer and automaker is called OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition and features exclusive features with a special housing, more RAM and a noble protective cover. We will test whether the McLaren Edition is also worthwhile for non-autofans.

I know you saw this coming. Right now the OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren is the company's most expensive phone ever at $899, so the question is if the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra is really $500 more of a phone? I'm Jaime Rivera with Pocketnow, and it's time to find out, sponsored by NordLocker. Stick around to learn how you can store your files securely for free.

The OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren is a wickedly powerful Android phone, but the increase in price from the OnePlus 7 Pro is too great with T-Mobile's current 5G service.

With a stunning design with speed to burn, the McLaren Edition of the OnePlus 7T Pro is almost perfect. Great battery life, ultra-slick performance, speedy charging, an almost stock version of Android that receives timeous updates, and a great 90Hz AMOLED display make for a phone that you simply can’t put down. Other than the in-display fingerprint reader, the biggest disappointment is that once again wireless charging and IP ratings are nowhere to be seen, you’ll have to wait until the OnePlus 8 Series is launched if the rumors are correct.

The OnePlus 7T Pro is indeed one of the fastest smartphones out there right now, but it’s not flawless. The flaws, in fact, are more or less acceptable if OnePlus was still operating in the value flagship segment, but this is a premium smartphone meant to take on the likes of the Galaxy Note 10+ and the Huawei P30 Pro. So it’s natural for us to compare the OnePlus 7T Pro with the best smartphones of this year. And in that regard, the OnePlus 7T Pro lacks a lot of features. Water resistance and wireless charging are two major misses, something that most smartphones priced Rs 60,000 offer. More than that, the phone has a penchant to overheat and has quite a few software bugs that are yet to be corrected.

The OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren is easily one of the best smartphones on the market, 5G or no 5G. It has the sexiest design that you'll see on a smartphone this side of China, the best performance, and a beautiful Fluid AMOLED display.

Whether the OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren appeals to you will come down to whether you're willing to live with slightly-faster-than-LTE speeds for the sake of a more ubiquitous 5G network that figures to improve over time. The OnePlus 7T's low price (for a 5G phone) makes the modest performance gains easier to live with, especially if you're the sort of person who holds on to a phone for more than a year or two.

The OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition is the most expensive device from the Chinese company yet, and with good reason. There's a fair bit on offer here that sets it apart from the regular device — more RAM, unique looks, special edition accessories, and branding that will appeal to a lot of people.

The OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition is a fair bit more expensive than the standard OnePlus 7T Pro, which itself is more expensive than the phone before it. We are not in the cutthroat OnePlus pricing era anymore so let's not even talk about why it costs as much as it does and let's focus on whether or not it brings any additional value over the standard 7T Pro.

Over the years, OnePlus has released a small number of special edition versions of its smartphones, and one of the coolest of them has to be the McLaren Edition (Review) of the OnePlus 6T. This was the phone that debuted the company's Warp Charge 30 fast charging technology, and there was no beating that slick paint job at the time. OnePlus has now launched a McLaren Edition of the OnePlus 7T Pro at a price of Rs. 58,999 and here's a quick look at what's new and different compared to the standard version.

The OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition is really just a OnePlus 7T Pro with 12GB of RAM and a questionable paint job. It’s a shame OnePlus wasn’t unable to add in some of the faster charging tech that Oppo and Vivo have been showing off. Or perhaps even a 120Hz display. The phone is priced at Rs. 58,999 and £799, which is a lot to pay for the limited additions here. Unless you are fixated on owning everything McLaren, you will probably be better off just buying a regular OnePlus 7T Pro.
