The Realme 5i's huge 5000mAh battery, solid performance and attractive design make it a real budget contender, but you'll have to be willing to make some sacrifices.

What we showcased on our video is how does the realme 5i will perform in heavy multitasking by streaming our gameplay on twitch. And also, we run some games with their graphics from low to maximum settings to show it’s performance limit. We also add some battery and charging tests as well. So make sure you check out the video.

Should you go for it? Realme 5i is a fine option for you IF you are just looking for a phone for regular use and all these specifications like an average camera or slow charge don't really make a difference to you. Realme 5i will get the job done and for many people, that will be enough.

To cap off this review, coming from a flagship phone, I can finally see myself using a budget phone. Realme 5i has its share of downsides but its upsides are more relevant to users who are looking for the best budget phone today. The cameras are decent, the battery life is solid, and the build choice is a no-brainer. If you’re fond of watching high-quality videos like me, this may not be the right one for you. But if not, I think Realme 5i is almost the best phone you can buy for under P7,000. Just imagine if Realme included FHD+ here.

The Realme 5i is basically a Realme 5 but with a lower front-camera resolution, different design, and a lower price tag. Priced at PHP 6,990 with 3GB + 64GB configuration, it’s just PHP 1,000 less compared to the Realme 5 with the same configuration. Realme basically wants to further strengthen their foothold in the budget segment. The question is, should you buy this one instead of the base model Realme 5?

All in all, it looks like the Realme 5i is another solid choice for budget buyers looking for a phone that has a good mix of looks, performance, and price. Speaking of price, Realme Philippines hasn’t announced pricing for the phone yet but if we go with Vietnam and India pricing, it’ll be retailing around the 8-9K mark when it lands here next week.

All in all, the realme 5i is quite similar to the standard realme 5, albeit having a single band connectivity (2.4GHz), a lower resolution front camera, as well as the different design at the back. It’s a decent offering from realme to give consumers more choice, although it was most probably unnecessary given that the realme 5 already covered the exact same price segment, and with a better selfie camera to boot. But then again… The back is too hard to ignore…

Over the last few months, realme released the realme 5 family of smartphones. Last month, realme added the 5s into the family. And recently, realme added yet another entry into the family – the realme 5i. But what are the differences between the realme 5, realme 5s, and the realme 5i?

The Realme 5i is a watered-down Realme 5 at a more aggressive price. For Rs. 8,999 the 5i does pack quite a punch thanks to the Snapdragon 665 SoC and 4GB of RAM. The 5,000mAh battery also delivers very good battery life. However, camera performance is a bit of a letdown. The main purpose of the Realme 5i aims at offering powerful hardware at a more affordable price, and it succeeds at that to an extent. If you want a phone primarily for gaming, the Realme 5i should keep you happy. However, if you are willing to stretch your budget, the Realme 5s (Review) and the Redmi Note 8 (Review) are better all-rounders.

Since 5i is a Realme 5 replacement, makes sense to go either with the Realme 5s or the Realme 5i. A good handset for the price.

大尺寸可以让屏幕有更高的分辨率。因而例如字体等的细节将会更丰富。不过另一方面,小屏幕的功耗会较低,而设备也会更轻盈小巧,售价更低。
