Reviews for the Oppo Realme X2

The Realme X2 is a prime example of just how good customers have it in the mid-range segment. The phone strikes an excellent balance between performance, design, imaging, battery life, and, importantly, price. The Realme X2 may just be one of the best options in the mid-range segment.

Overall, Realme have done a very good job considering the cost €289 via the realme website. This phone has a great battery and you will be able to take a great picture especially with Christmas around the corner. The phone is user-friendly and if you switch from something like an iPhone you will adapt very well as the interface is similar.

Starting at Rs 16,999, the Realme X2 is a midrange phone that ticks all the right boxes. Though it lacks the extreme value quotient of its elder sibling, the Realme X2 Pro, in premium midrange segment, it still is a good option in its segment. You might like to experience the Realme X2 if you want a midrange smartphone with some strength in all areas, and not one with imaging capabilities only.

At the price tag of Rs.16,999, the Realme X2 is a bang for your buck. It brings us the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset which delivers ultimate performance without any heating issues. In addition to this, it also comes with support for 30W VOOC 4.0 fast charging which makes it one of the fastest charging smartphones in this price segment. The only thing we didn’t like was the average audio output but that can be ignored. Overall, the Realme X2 gets a thumbs up from us.

The Realms X2 camera does a good job in daylight conditions. The photos came out to be crisp and well-detailed. The colour reproduction was on point. In portrait mode, we though that edge detection could have been better and macro shots were average. In low light, the results were a mixed bag. Sometime it clocked good photos, but when the lights were dimmed, the photos were prone to noises and grains. The Night mode has been improved and it delivers better results as compared to its previous version. The selfie performance is good as well. Overall, the Realme X2 offers a good camera performance at this price point, but it is not very different from Realme XT.

The Realme X2 is currently the best offering from Realme in the sub Rs 20,000 segment. The smartphone gives you a good design language along with the Super AMOLED screen and better processor as compared to its rivals. However, if you already have a Realme XT then it doesn’t make sense to go for this smartphone. But if you are a new user and want to buy a new smartphone with good features and stylish design language coupled with fast charging support and more, then you can consider this as a worthy option.

The Realme X2 builds on the success of the Realme XT (Review), and is yet another superb all-rounder priced below Rs. 20,000. It just makes sense to pick this over the Realme XT or even the Realme X (Review) at the moment, since for a bit more money, you get the same software as the X2 Pro plus some nice hardware upgrades. The X2 is still using a dewdrop notch though so if it's style you're after, then the Realme X with its notchless screen and pop-up front camera is still the better bet.

On paper, it might seem like a rival to the Redmi K20, which has a similar chip, but its biggest challenge is not the spec sheet but the fact that it does not seem a big step ahead of its own siblings, the Realme X and the Realme XT (the Realme X2 Pro is, of course, at another level). So much so that we are not sure whether it makes a compelling case for those seeking an upgrade from those two devices. That said, if you are looking for a very good phone below Rs 20,000, this has got to be one of the frontrunners.

The Realme X2 is a good overall package at the price of Rs 16,999. Consumers looking for a smartphone at a price range of under Rs 20,000 that looks slick, captures great pictures and handles games very well can consider Realme X2 if they can live with the cluttered ColorOS software.

The Realme X2 offers a compelling package for less than €300. In particular, the phone’s hardware is uniformly strong, offering excellent performance, a vibrant Super AMOLED display and strong battery life.

For a phone that starts at Rs 17,000, the Realme X2 has a lot of features to offer. The upgrades that Realme has introduced over the Realme XT make sense, and they make a great phone even better. The Snapdragon 730G chip is now more accessible than ever and for those who do a lot of gaming, this is a good phone to go for. The 30W fast charging system is a blessing for those on the move 24x7, topping up the battery from dead under an hour. The cameras are quite good too, especially in low light.

The Realme X2 is just an upgraded version of the Realme XT. The company has upgraded the chipset along with the front camera and has given you 30W fast charging support as compared to the 20W present in the Realme XT. But apart from this, the majority of things are same in XTand X2.

The Realme X2 is a perfect smartphone for normal, moderate and gaming users. Perfectly packed, triple slots with a dedicated micro SD card slot and good RAM / ROM combination. It runs Android 9.0 over ColorOS 6.1.

Aside the Mi 9T and the X2 Pro, the vanilla X2 still has a lot on the table with a color-accurate AMOLED screen, long battery life, powerful and efficient SoC, microSD card and 3.5mm jack support, unrivaled fast battery charging and UD fingerprint reader in the price range. We can't miss saying a few good words about the haptic engine taken from its costlier sibling - the X2 Pro. It's not one of those must-have features, but it's nice to see it taken seriously in the mid-range and we think it adds to the overall user experience. It's precise and strong at the same time - something you'd expect to see in a real flagship phone.

The Realme X2 Pro, meanwhile, has us truly excited. A niche started by Realme's OnePlus cousin, the flagship on a budget is a crowd favorite and we love a bargain as much as the next guy. The Pro appears to be just that - where else can you get a 90Hz OLED display, top-end chipset, a proper triple camera (quad in Realme speak, but... you know), and some of the fastest battery charging available, all starting at EUR399? If only our review unit weren't stuck at customs.
