黑莓这次十分冒险，不过为夺回日渐减少的市场份额也难以避免。Passport是一款设计十分大胆的设备，它采用了不寻常但也十分实用的屏幕比例，同时搭配了实体键盘。自由的操作系统十分直观，配合对安卓应用的支持可以提供日常所需的所有功能。对黑莓手机感兴趣的用户也因此有了一个更有力的理由选择它。

其他的优势还包括高质量的扬声器，高性能，高质量机身，不过略微有些沉。它的屏幕质量也很高，发热量控制在了舒适的程度，而无线连接选项也很丰富。它的电池续航也十分优秀。

不过一些小细节上的缺陷让它的整体表现打了折扣。例如，机背的耐压能力较差，micro-SD卡和SIM卡槽的保护盖难以打开，相机表现也十分平庸。因此，消费者在选择时应该谨慎考虑那些功能更重要。

黑莓PassPort对个性用户来说极具吸引力，因为并不是所有人都会选择这样一款独特的手机。对于不适应触控按键或需要经常在手机上浏览办公文件而不太在乎它的缺点的用户来说，它坚固的机身和迅捷的响应将会有更大发挥的空间。不过，他们需要有充足的预算。
