高价高质？长续航时间（在无线上网模式下接近10小时）、明亮的磨砂IPS屏幕（全高清）、和低重量的组合看起来很诱人。值得称赞的优秀散热设计让它的35W处理器可以保持低温运行。同时，包括了拓展坞接口的丰富接口配备、4G通信模组、和光驱让Portégé成为一款有竞争力的商务设备。

东芝为控制系统发热量用了些技巧。让HD 4600集成显卡降频的同时，Core i7-4600M的加速模式也被设了限制。它轻量级的机身对于日常使用来说足够坚固，但质感上由于上盖和键盘区域的脆弱材料而显得较差。不过这相对于键盘的较弱反馈和点击触控板的过硬按键来说可以算是个人喜好的问题。它的输入设备不算差，但是很难与ThinkPad或EliteBook的输入设备标准相比。

它们当然就是Portégé R30-A-15C在高端市场上需要直接对抗的竞争对手（我们的测试机售价1650欧元，约2177美元）。考虑到这类产品的高价位，R30可以算是售价相对较低的一款产品了。如果输入设备是用户第一考虑的方面的话，ThinkPad会是很好的选择。如果坚固的铝合金机身也很重要的话，EliteBook 840 G1则非常值得考虑。如果选择TravelMate P645-MG的话，消费者则几乎不用在硬件配置上做出让步。它可以说是此类商务笔记本中的性价比之王（售价约1500欧元）。这款Travelmate有一流的输入设备，出色的机身设计，和非常优秀的全高清屏幕。
