Is the Razer Blade 14 a faultless machine? It comes pretty close. Some will argue that the display is a little on the small side for prolonged gaming, but I’m not going to criticise a 14in laptop for having a 14in display, and though it’s not exactly cheap at the top end, the entry-level model is good value. Beyond that, the Blade 14 is an impressive machine in every way: it’s fast, stylish, well made, has a good keyboard and a very decent sound system. It also comes loaded with many of the extra features a hardcore gamer would insist on, while still being smart enough to not look out of place in more sober environments.

That's because high-end gaming performance for mobile devices in 2021 is inextricably linked to thermals, and the small, restrictive, confines of the Razer Blade 14's design (and its smaller cooling system designs) will inevitably deliver lower gaming performance from a GPU as hungry as an RTX 3080 than if it was used in a stockier chassis - like, say, a 15 or 17-inch one (like the ASUS Strix Scar 15 we've compared). It’s really a trade-off between performance and portability. The plus point for the Blade 14 series is that there’s also a lower-tiered version that comes with an RTX 3060 Laptop GPU paired with a 1080p 144Hz display. I think this makes for a more ideal and better-for-your-dollar gaming ultraportable notebook because the RTX 3060 runs at a lower TDP, and so the Blade 14’s cooling doesn’t limit it as much as it does with the RTX 3080. There's also an RTX 3070 version with the same screen as the model we've reviewed and at a thousand dollars cheaper than our review machine, that's something to consider.

Razer’s Blade family of gaming laptops has long been the go to choice for hardcore gamers looking for elegant powerhouses. The company’s latest entry, the Blade 14, might be their most exciting entry yet. Billed as the smallest 14-inch gaming laptop, the Blade 14 mashes the fastest mobile CPU together with the most powerful GPU into an impressively sleek and svelte form factor. The good news is that the Blade 14 delivers on the promise with very few compromises, but, at a starting price of $3,099, you’ll need deep pockets to acquire one. So is it worth the investment?

The Razer Blade 14 is a beautifully designed, carefully arranged laptop that deals with the issues of fitting seriously powerful hardware into a seriously slim frame like a pro. This is one the few gaming models we can imagine using as our only laptop - sure it weighs more than an ultraportable, but the difference amounts to an extra can of Coke in your bag. The Razer Blade 14 is classier than the Asus Zephyrus G14, and its build is flat-out lovely. However, it does cost a fortune. For most of us it's a laptop to daydream about rather than own. But at least it's a laptop worth daydreaming about.

I’ll come straight to the point: The Razer Blade 14 is a great looking notebook that comes with quality parts and components. If you’re looking for an ultraportable form factor notebook that basically does anything you throw at it – be it for creativity work or high-performance gaming – then there really isn’t any other notebooks quite like the Razer Blade 14 in the market now. But that’s not to say it’s perfect, not with this particular build that I reviewed. When it comes down to it, there is so much about the Razer Blade 14 laptop to like. The specs are sharp, it’s a really nice looking machine and works across productivity and play. The screen is an absolute delight to look at as it’s so easy on your eyes with the high refresh rate and — while it’s not super light — it’s light enough to carry around with you daily. If you’re in that user bracket, are likely to push it beyond the capabilities of other laptops and have the money to drop on a laptop like the Blade 14 Pro, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it because this really is the laptop I’ve wanted for years.

Razer has earned some props: The Blade 14’s high-end parts perform capably despite their space constraints, and games look amazing on its QHD panel. Clearly at this price the Blade 14 is not for everyone, but it’s further proof that ‘thin, light gaming laptop’ is no longer an oxymoron.

Thanks to the balance of screen size and weight, I generally like 14-inch laptops better than the alternatives. I've never found the smaller screen size to affect my immersion in games; as much as I love me a massive desktop display, once I'm in, I'm in. So there's a lot to love with the Razer Blade 14, which incorporates one of the fastest mobile CPUs available (for now, at least), the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX, and top-end mobile graphics with the GeForce RTX 3070 or 3080. With Razer's trademark black-slab design, it very much feels like the middle child between the Blade 15 and Blade Stealth 13.

If you’re like me, when you hear the term “gaming laptop” you probably think of massive, 17-inch desktop replacement machines – in other words, pretty much every laptop I covered during the quarantine days of 2020. Well I still love those behemoths, but now that we’re getting back to being “mobile,” there’s a lot to be said for packing all that gaming PC power into something a lot more portable. And that’s just what Razer has done with the reboot of its three-year-old Razer Blade 14: blended power and portability into a delightfully compact (and refreshingly priced) laptop. I’m Michael Fisher and I’ve been using this notebook for the past month; join me for MrMobile’s Razer Blade 14 Review (2021)!

The Blade 14 is a well-designed machine that can run demanding games at high settings. It's also small and light enough to carry around for productivity work. The keyboard isn't perfect, and it could use a few more ports, but you could say the same thing about many portable gaming laptops. The Alienware m15 R4 is still a worthwhile competitor, if you don't mind a slightly larger screen. Otherwise, the Blade 14 is back after a long hiatus, and it’s worth the premium.

In terms of audio, we can’t expect anything much from the small chassis. It’s loud and enough for normal use, but lacks treble and bass for the audiophiles. Still, it’s a reasonable compromise for the performance it has packed in. If you’re not looking for a gaming laptop, the Razer Blade 14 might seem like an overkill but the entire package of performance plus portability is simply too much of a temptation, making this a natural option for a quality laptop.

The Razer Blade 14 is the highest specced 14” gaming laptop ever created, but how does it actually perform in games? I’ve tested the top end Ryzen 9 5900HX + RTX 3080 configuration in 12 games at 1440p & 1080p to find out! I’m still working on the full review of the Razer Blade 14 gaming laptop, make sure you’re subscribed so you don’t miss it!

As mentioned already, the 3070 model at $2199 would be my go-to here, but I wouldn’t look past the 3060 base-variant either, which starts at $1799, so $300 on top of a similarly-specced Zephyrus G14. This base variant ships with an FHD 144 Hz screen with 100% sRGB colors, but that should be fine for most of you, and I’d expect the performance gap between the 3060 and the 3070 to be around 10-15%, based on our tests of these chips at 80-100W of power.

Razer's Blade line of gaming laptops are among our favorites, not cheap but arguably the cream of the crop for hardcore gamers. We've reviewed and applauded 13-, 15-, and 17-inch models, and the new Blade 14 (starts at $1,799) hopes to hit a power and portability sweet spot. This compact chassis is just 0.66 inch thick but manages to pack an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX processor and up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 graphics, a head-turning proposition for gamers on the go. The system seen here is a pre-production unit, so we haven't given it the official review and benchmarking treatment, but can still share our impressions of this sleek premium machine.

The Razer Blade 14 will be the go-to gaming laptop for anyone who wants a luxury gaming laptop. It’s powerful enough to play any games out there, while being beautiful enough to show off wherever you go. The thin and light chassis is just a bonus. Though, you will have to pay for the pleasure of using it, and you won’t get as much performance out of the components as you would elsewhere.

Razer introduced the Ultimate AMD Gaming Laptop on E3 2021. Razer Blade 14 is currently the world's most powerful 14-inch gaming laptop in the market, featuring the newest AMD CPU and NVIDIA graphic processors. Razer is one of the best technology companies that design, develop and sell gaming hardware, especially since its pricing is a lot cheaper than the competitors. Recently, at its keynote event in E3 2021, the company brought back the "legendary" Razer Blade and rebuilt it with some of the latest technology available today.
