Reviews for the Sony Xperia E1

79% Sony Xperia E1 Smartphone Review | Notebookcheck
It's got the beat. Sony's Xperia E1 is a Walkman with many settings options. It comes in a flashy plastic casing, a 4-inch TFT screen, and an entry-level SoC from Qualcomm besides 4 GB of flash memory. An included headset reinforces the portable jukebox claim. The price of 129 Euros (~$174) matches the available power.
80% Small and convenient, but there's better budget options

The Sony Xperia E1 is a cheap phone, and it both looks and feels like one. Unlike some rivals it hasn't quite made enough right moves to ensure it brings a solid core experience to the table, while still including some fluffier elements like a dedicated music button. Thanks to the decent interface it's a reasonable low-cost option, but it's solidly beaten by the Motorola Moto E, which costs as little as £10 more.

60% Sony Xperia E1 Dual Review: Funky and Affordable

The Sony Xperia E1 Dual competes with the Motorola Moto E, HTC Desire 210 Dual SIM, Asus Zenfone 4, and Nokia X Dual SIM, in addition to multiple options from local brands. We find that Sony, Motorola and Asus have the edge here, each with a different set of strengths and weaknesses. We do like the Sony Xperia E1 Dual (and by extension, its cheaper twin the E1) but it's a crowded market. Go for this phone if you're comfortable with Sony's Android skin and if its style appeals to you. Otherwise, the Moto E is a solid alternative.

Sony is keen to promote the Xperia E1 as the “best phone in its class”. It's a bold statement, but one that's based on data harvested back in November 2013. Since then times have changed. There are compromises across most hardware elements of the Xperia E1, but the thing we have most issue with is the performance and stability of the phone. Part of this will improve with successive updates, but the phone's 512MB of RAM is likely to prove a longer-term performance roadblock.

Sony's made a valiant effort for the low-end market with its E1, but it just doesn't match up to either of Motorola's budget blowers. Even compared to the cheap Moto E, Sony's low-cost smartphone doesn't quite match-up, while you can even find the superior Moto G on sale for around the same price if you don't mind being tied down to certain networks, making Sony's effort almost redundant. We like the musical focus here, but it's not enough to make the Xperia E1 a must-have budget phone.

更大的屏幕尺寸可以让设备有更高的分辨率。因而例如字体等的细节将会更丰富。不过另一方面,小屏幕的功耗会较低,而设备也会更轻盈小巧,售价更低。
