While the system performance leaves something to be desired, and sometimes might even have you sighing quite heavily, the battery life is the reason to check out this $129 phone, rounding two days without any real problems. Hey, if you manage to use your phone less than us and switch on Sony’s stamina modes, you might even be able to score three days of life.

The Xperia E4g doesn't give off the impression that it was created to broaden choice in the budget market segment. Comparing it with the E4 we get the distinct sense that it was Sony's second attempt at creating a viable successor to the E3.

Battery life notwithstanding, Sony loses the plot with the Xperia E4 Dual. The official price of the phone is Rs. 12,490 though it can be purchased for a slight discount online. Still, the price is too high considering that even HTC managed to pack an octa-core processor into the much less expensive HTC Desire 526G+ Dual SIM (Review). We can only recommend the Xperia E4 Dual to hardcore Sony loyalists and to those who want to avoid shopping online. For the rest, the Motorola Moto G (Gen 2) (Review | Pictures) or Micromax's Yu Yureka (Review | Pictures) are just a click away.

So, the Sony Xperia E4 is a cheap little entry-level phone. Except, it's not little but you get the point. What we don't quite get is why Sony needs four devices when last season they had two for the same job. The E4 has an LTE-enabled version, the Xperia E4g, and each of those in turn has a single and a dual-SIM option. Last year's you could simply get the Xperia E3 with either dual-SIM or LTE support and that was it.
