Reviews for the Sony Xperia L3
The Xperia L3 carries over some of the characteristics of its predecessors while also coming into its own with its more modern design. For about 200 Euros (~$225), buyers of the slim smartphone in the 2:1 format also receive a dual-camera system as well as the option to use a microSD and two SIM cards simultaneously. We evaluate in our test what else the Sony Xperia L3 can offer.

While the Xperia 1 and Xperia 10 series were some very thoughtful additions to the whole Xperia family having instantly recognizable advantages over their competitors, the Xperia L3 doesn't have that luxury. It tries to copy a few cool features like the side-mounted fingerprint sensor, but at the end of the day it doesn't have a standout feature of its own. You can look at it as the cheapest entry into the Sony software experience, its value to you mostly depending on whether or not you like the company's launcher as much as us.

Firing up the handset from a complete shut down was not particularly quick with a four second depress of the power button being followed by a 26 seconds set-up procedure before arriving at the Home screen. In other respects the Xperia L3 performed reasonably including a download of a Sony system update that was made available as soon as I received the unit. I must admit that the set-up part of this update took longer than the actual download. As this update was carried out immediately, I can not really comment on how it might have affected the performance of the handset. The Sony Xperia L3 performed its tasks without problems and at a reasonable rate of speed.

The Sony Xperia L3 fills a hole in the Sony line-up, and does so without much verve or ambition. It offers the basics at an agreeable price. That it also has older software, as well as lower-end hardware, than phones one level up is indicative of the limited attention paid to its particulars.

Like a so-so supermarket meal deal, the Sony Xperia L3 does the job. But there are more exciting ways to spend your money and time.

It is not the most interesting choice at the price, but the Sony Xperia L3 is a decent all-round Android phone for those on a budget.

Sony's L range of Xperia devices offers a slice of the premium X models, but at a much lower cost. Of course, with this comes a fair amount of compromise. Although the styling is good, and the device has a nice feel in the hands, the bendy plastic back spoils the appearance somewhat.

It depends what price Sony sells the Xperia L3 for as to whether we'll recommend it alongside great budget phones like the Moto G7 Power or Honor 10 Lite but the early signs are good.

A standard budget phone with a semi-decent camera and new, longer screen, the whole allure of this phone depends on price. If it's reasonable, Sony could hoover those that don't want to spend loads on a smartphone.

On one hand, it's kind of hard to be too surprised about Sony's new device announcements, purely on the grounds of the avalanche of leaks that preceded the MWC keynote. Then again, many of said rumors turned out to be nothing more than smoke and mirrors. Whether intentional or not on Sony's part, all that matters is that the devices the Japanese giant did unveil at the Barcelona event still managed to turn quite a few heads.

大尺寸可以让屏幕有更高的分辨率。因而例如字体等的细节将会更丰富。不过另一方面,小屏幕的功耗会较低,而设备也会更轻盈小巧,售价更低。
