Reviews for the Sony Xperia XA Ultra

Summing up, the Sony Xperia XA Ultra is really not a budget phone with its ultimate camera and huge display. Though we are disappointed with RAM, the processor is very powerful. Additionally, it will become more usable after Nougat 7.0 update.

Xperia XA Ultra will definitely appeal to selfie fans with its 16MP front camera accompanied by an LED flash, Exmor RS sensor, f/2.0 aperture, and even OIS. All this is a significant prerequisite for awesome selfies, even at low light. If you are still wondering whether a 6-inch model is too big, we can add that it has almost no side screen bezels, and its profile is relatively thin (8.4 mm). Undoubtedly, all these features contribute to the better grip (if we can call it so). The smartphone does not excell in terms of battery, as the component may have been bigger, but the quick charging feature and power saving modes can compesnate for this to a certain extent.

Packed with decent power, a surprisingly good battery life and a great front camera, I would recommend the Sony Xperia XA Ultra to anyone who is on the lookout for a decent phone within a tight budget. Just trust us and dont opt for the Lime Gold color scheme. Go for the black, white or even silver.

You’ve always let us know loud and clear what you guys thought about the pricing on Sony smartphones. The Xperia XA Ultra comes in at Php 19,990 and we can’t imagine that the lot of you will be happy with the price tag, but it is priced competitively against other mid-range, big-screen phones in the market . The 6-inch mid-ranged phablet makes a compelling case for itself and could merit some consideration if it’s within your budget.

The Xperia XA Ultra sets a good balance of beauty and performance. It’s got its own share of hits and misses, though more of the former than the latter. The improved design, generous display size and intriguing selfie camera will attract a lot of Sony fans.

I usually think Sony phones are a bit overpriced, like most of big brands out there. However, the Xperia XA Ultra seems a value buy for those who consider the camera, screen and battery as their main priorities. There might be other phones that do better on sheer performance in this range, but they would have had to cut corners on the other three fronts. Sony might just be able to tap into a niche market here.

Sony almost seems uncomfortable with how good its midrange offerings are. Yes, the Xperia Z series was awesome, but it's gone now and the Xperia X got a lukewarm reception. Yet Sony keeps putting up the image of a premium maker, with the low and midrange almost as an afterthought. Well, we loved the Xperia XA looks (much more than we did the X) and we've grown quite fond of the Xperia XA Ultra too.

So far with the Xperia X line, Sony has demonstrated great insensitivity to market realities—realities that doomed pretty much the entire line before it was even ready for game time. Perhaps not dead on arrival, but close. This makes the Xperia XA Ultra all the more of a pleasant surprise, as it's the one device from the new series that is positioned in a price tier that is neither overcrowded, nor incredibly competitive. So long as you're looking for a reaaally big smartphone, there are very few contenders for the Ultra's crown in the $350 to $400 bracket—and even beyond that.

The Sony Xperia XA Ultra doesn't have a main camera, it has two main cameras. But not in the way the Huawei P9 has two cameras on the back, no. The Xperia XA Ultra has a main camera on the back, and another main camera up front. And looking at the specsheet, we can see how this may be right.

The Sony Xperia XA Ultra is a phone that will live and die by its price - there's clearly a new wave of handsets coming from the Japanese brand under the 'X' moniker, and this is the big-screen, youth-oriented model that would previously have sat in the 'C' or 'M' lines. Whether this replaces those ranges or sits alongside remains to be seen - but without things like the USB Type C connector that's coming in a lot of flagship phones, there's definitely room for improvement here.

这是比较大的智能手机尺寸,也十分常见。
大尺寸可以让屏幕有更高的分辨率。因而例如字体等的细节将会更丰富。不过另一方面,小屏幕的功耗会较低,而设备也会更轻盈小巧,售价更低。
