东芝Tecra Z40T-A1410在很多方面都和它的低配版Tecra Z40-A-147一样成功，如低重量的镁合金机身，丰富的接口配备，很好的电池续航，低发热，和安静的运行。它也是现有不多的一款提供非镜面触控屏幕的笔记本——这对于特别是商务电脑来说非常值得称赞。
不过它所在的市场竞争非常激烈，Tecra Z40T有很多明显的问题让它难以获得我们的推荐。首先，它的磨砂屏幕由屏幕面板上的一个抗反射涂层实现——不过这个涂层带来的颗粒感让它的显示效果大打折扣。它的输入设备——对于商务设备来说非常关键的一个部件——只能称作一般，键盘的触键过硬，点击触控板的表现也和我们以前评测过的设备的一样实用性较差。
另外，这款笔记本的性能由于没有配备固态硬盘而受到了很大的限制（同时还有负载下的降频问题）。 最后，它的维护性很差，让用户很难方便地更换部件。不少于11个的螺丝和很多橡胶垫脚都需要被卸下才能打开机器的底盖，而且在这个过程中用户必须十分小心以避免损伤机体。
它并不是一款不好的产品，不过在这个价位上，已经有很多更好的机型了：例如联想的ThinkPad Yoga和戴尔的Latitude E7440就是两个这样的例子。
