Reviews for the Vivo V21 5G
Vivo V21 5G的重点是相机。亮点应该是4400万像素的前置摄像头,它配备了OIS和双LED。然而,一个有希望的64MP镜头也是背面的核心。我们仔细看了一下。

The Vivo V21 5G is a mid-range model in the Vivo smartphone lineup and falls into the High-end segment ($400 to $599). The device features a 6.44-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset and 8 GB of RAM. An internal memory of 128 GB memory offers plenty of space for photos and videos and a 4000 mAh battery should provide enough juice for extended shooting and recording sessions. The rear camera combines a primary module with a 64 MP sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide, and a 2 MP macro camera. Let’s see how this combo does in the DXOMARK Camera test.

The Vivo V21 is a unique phone. On the one hand, it checks a lot of boxes – the selfie camera is best in class, its screen and in-display fingerprint scanner are great, and there are plenty of storage options. It also delivers a decent day-in-day-out user experience. Gamers will want more power – check out the Poco F3, while traditional photographers will want a better rear camera set up – as found in the cheaper Redmi Note 10 Pro. Anyone who doesn’t like selfies should also look elsewhere – the OnePlus Nord 2 is a great all-rounder at £369. If your gallery is bursting with mediocre selfies you wish were better though, and you love the idea of turning your face to within an inch of being recognisably you, or you just want some extra fill light when snapping pictures of you and your loved ones, then the Vivo V21 5G is a very fun phone that gets a lot right.

If selfies and vlogging are your domain, this smartphone is definitely worth attention... besides, it's a typical mid-range product. Good daytime photos, nice night photos, is a wide-angle camera, macro camera - weak but it is also. The performance is not that bad, the quality of connections and sound is adequate ... you can complain about the lack of a mini-jack and water resistance, but the microSD card slot, headphones and cover included in the set, as well as a very nice display are pleasing. Unfortunately, all of this was initially priced at EUR 399, which in my opinion is a bit "overshot" amount. At the moment, after a few months, the price has dropped slightly - by around EUR 20-30. If the operator offers it to you at a nice price and you like to do selfies - Vivo V21 5G will be worth your attention.

The Vivo V21 5G is a mid-range model in the Vivo smartphone lineup and falls into the advanced segment ($200 to $399). A great phone if you care about taking selfies or recording video with the front camera. The V21 5G also benefits from a good-quality screen, but there are compromises elsewhere you’ll need to be able to live with. When you’re shopping for a mid-range phone, sacrifices are usually inevitable. The stand-out features are the selfie camera and the great screen, but these come at the cost of a faster processor and luxuries such as water resistance and wireless charging.

If you’re looking to buy a new smartphone for less than £350 and you want a sleek and stylish handset, the Vivi V21 5G ticks those boxes. It does make a few sacrifices here and there to keep the price so low, like average performance and the disappointing rear camera system, but you will get a stunning screen, decent battery life and an impressive front camera. Whether this phone is right for you or not will depend on what you need it for. Gamers should steer clear but if you just plan to scroll social media and answer a few text messages then this will definitely do the job.

For this price, we get a modern smartphone equipped with the necessary features (there is no support for 5G though) and an excellent front-facing camera that provides accurate and clear photos in all conditions. Another argument in favor of buying this smartphone is an interesting design, decent battery life and water protection, as well as the included silicone case.

No matter where you look to, there’s a device out there more complete or has better overall value than the Vivo V21 5G, since it skimped on one too many basic features, plus its overall real-world performance isn't up to scratch with even older devices. All the alternatives mentioned above are officially available in Singapore. While the Vivo V21 5G is certainly nice enough to use and one of the prettiest mid-rangers to boot, the feature-set, UI polish, real-world usage and price proposition pales next to our competitive phone offering here. Truly, one should not judge anything based on looks alone, and now that cliché includes smartphones.

The Vivo V21 5G is a mid-ranger with a lot going for it, including an appealingly slim design and an outstanding selfie camera. However, in the fight against some truly formidable competition, it falls a little short on performance and one or two other quality of life features.

There are two reasons why people like Vivo smartphone, the first is your phone with a simple and slim layout and the second is the camera technology used in the lenses. With these two features, Vivo created a big name in the mid-range phone. In short, the Vivo 21 smartphone is a mix of decent 5G and camera technology phones. Although it is difficult to recommend the V21 phone because of the price as there are several smartphones available with similar or better features for almost the same price. If you are looking or an alternative you can check the Realme X7 Max smartphone may consider a value pack option.

The vivo V21 5G is a solid 2021 midranger that manages to build upon and actually expand on the formula set forth by its V20 predecessor without giving up on the core design and feature goals. It remains a very slick and classically stylish device, with a clear focus on selfie photography and video capture. The 44MP autofocus selfie is great and pretty unmatched in this price segment. Now with the addition of OIS, it delivers a great video experience and a solid photo one. It alone could be enough of an allure to draw in a trendy, younger, social-network-focused crowd.

Our review of the vivo v21 5G and V21e in the Philippines show that the brand’s new mid-range phones are targeted squarely at people who prioritize looks as well as selfie and camera performance over things like affordability or performance-per-peso. If you’re looking for a phone that looks great and doesn’t mind not having access to 5G, then you might want to spring for the V21e if you’re looking to save a few bucks. If not, then the V21 5G should be the phone for you.

When I first saw the LED lights on top of the vivo V21 5G’s front camera, my first thought was that this phone will be great for making TikTok videos. True enough, the feature makes the device a great choice for creators who love shooting videos and photos. It’s an impressive midrange smartphone with almost flagship features and a solid choice for those looking to upgrade to a 5G-ready phone without breaking the bank.

By now, it should be obvious that the vivo V21 is excellent for those who do daily vlogs like TikTok and Instagram stories. More people are beginning to upload short clips during the pandemic, so vivo really nailed it with the target demographic this time. As mentioned above, the main highlight about the V21 is its 44MP OIS front camera and 64MP triple rear camera module. In addition, the battery and the phone's overall performance are good enough. So for RM1599, we think it's not a bad deal. But if you want other options, there's the Samsung Galaxy A52 (RM1499) with its IP68 water and dust resistance, the POCO F3 (RM1099) with its 120Hz refresh rate, or the OPPO Reno5 5G (RM1899) with its 65W fast-charging. The choice is yours.

However, I do recommend you to check out the Samsung Galaxy A52 4G too. For an even lower price, you get better software in terms of user experience, features, and promised updates. Best of all, there are no intrusive ads on the Galaxy A52.

As can be understood, there is a scope of refinement on the Vivo V21. Display and OS are some of these, with other shortcomings being too marginal to consider. It does score big on the form factor and ease of use for different operations a user performs throughout the day.

The key specifications of this smartphone seems rather average on paper. I for one am not a huge fan of taking selfies but if you do, this seems like the device for you. The OIS helps in shooting them and the results in low light is pretty impressive. Plus, there’s quite the number of settings and filters on hand for you to play around with.

The Vivo V21 5G’s price will depend on region, and so far Vivo has only announced pricing in Malaysia, which came out to around $390. We can expect the device to be priced similarly in India (being announced on April 29) and other parts of Southeast Asia. However, for Europe, I have a feeling the price will jump a bit. At this price range I’m not sure the Vivo V21 5G is a worthy purchase for most people. You can find superior SoCs, displays and main camera array at the same price range if you buy something from Redmi or Realme. However, for selfie fans who really need to film themselves walking and talking (aspiring TikTokers, maybe?), the Vivo V21 5G’s selfie cam with OIS does bring a slight advantage.
