Reviews for the Vivo Z1Pro

Based on our brief usage of the device, we found the vivo Z1Pro to be a well-performing and competitive smartphone. It has good design, good display, plenty of software features, good camera, good performance and great battery life. The build quality does feel a bit plasticky at times and the UI design is not to the liking of this particular reviewer as it feels too much like an iOS clone but aside from that we didn't have a lot to complain about. Overall, we would recommend this phone for budget mid-range smartphone buyers in this price range.

The vivo Z1Pro is impressive for its features, triple cameras, a FullView™ display with an In-Display camera, an elegantly designed back, the superfast Snapdragon 712 CPU coupled with a 5,000 mAh battery. For those who demand performance and longer battery life, the Vivo Z1Pro should be ideal, there’s nothing better you can get at this price.

Overall, the Vivo Z1 Pro is a decent performer at the price. If gaming is your main focus and you want a phone that looks good you do not need to look any further than this. However, if you are looking for a device to click images I would recommend that you take a look at other options like the Redmi Note 7 Pro or the Realme 3 Pro.

Vivo has done a great job, the combination of the latest Snapdragon processor with Adreno GPU makes it capable of handling high-graphics intensive apps and games. The triple rear camera is a plus for photographic enthusiasts. The massive battery lets you play with the phone more than a day. Overall, it’s a perfect device to consider at this budget.

Vivo Z1 Pro is not just a powerful smartphone but is also a pretty good alternative for a whole lot of smartphones in the sub-Rs 20,000 price segment. Buyers may not get a lot of firsts here in terms of features but it does get the title of being the first to bring Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 to smartphone in the country. Vivo Z1 Pro seems like a more polished version of the Y series by the company and is clearly the best of what Vivo has to offer in the price range. The punch hole display is clearly a step in the right direction if they have to eliminate the use of pop-up cameras. But that’s again, subjective.

The Vivo Z1 Pro is an excellent choice if design is your primary consideration. The phone combines a beautiful colorway with a punch-hole camera to create a best-in-class design. Performance is competitive with buttery-smooth UI navigation but the bloatware hurts the experience. The versatile camera is, unfortunately, not quite best in class either.

Priced at Rs 16,990 (for 6GB RAM and 64GB storage), the Vivo Z1Pro is a mixed bag of hits and misses. It has a segment-first punch-hole screen, capable triple rear cameras, top-notch performance and a power-packed 5,000 mAh battery. Consider this phone for its camera, performance and exceptional on-battery time. However, if ease of use is important and you stream videos on OTT platforms, this might not be your best bet.

Each and every phone have their own advantages and disadvantages. The Redmi Note 7 Pro and Realme 3 Pro are the direct competitors to the Vivo Z1Pro in the similar price range, but these don’t feature triple rear cameras, 32-megapixel front camera or a huge battery. There is also the Samsung Galaxy M30 features triple rear cameas and a 5000mAh battery, but the SoC is not powerful.

Overall, the Vivo Z1 Pro looks beautiful, offers powerful performance, captures great pictures in fairly all lighting conditions, and easily lasts a day in single charge. For Rs 14,990, the Vivo Z1Pro is a tempting deal and if you're looking for a phone that is an all-rounder and doesn't comprise on any aspect, the Vivo Z1 Pro is a great option to consider. The Vivo Z1 Pro goes on sale in India on July 11 via Flipkart and Vivo's e-store.

Overall, Vivo seems to have done a very good job with the Z1 Pro. When we reviewed the Vivo Y17 not too long ago, we said it was outclassed in its price band. The Vivo Z1 Pro fixes its shortcomings at roughly the same price level. This phone has nearly every current-day feature and selling point that we can expect on a phone priced below Rs. 20,000, most notably the hole-punch front camera and three rear cameras. Vivo has managed to deliver competitive specifications, and we really don't think there's anything major missing that any other company offers right now.

Vivo Z1 Pro is loaded with a good design language and the display looks crisp. The battery is long-lasting and you will not face any trouble in the performance part. The daylight camera performance is decent, but the same cannot be said for the low light condition. Furthermore, the user interface still needs some refining. Overall, if you can ignore its low light performance and bloatware, then it is still a good device to consider.

Now, the Z1 Pro comes with a strong gaming front and with a great display and good sound but lags behind in a few departments like UI, camera, and battery. Considering that its competitors are scoring very heavily in those very departments (especially battery and camera), the Z1 Pro is going to be leaving very heavily on gaming to make is presence felt in this extremely competitive segment of the market. If you are looking for a mid-segment device with a lot of gaming touches, then this is definitely a contender, although some would point to the now even-more-affordable Poco F1, which has a faster processor and also has its own cooling system.
