Reviews for the Vivo iQOO Z3

The iQOO Z3 has a lightweight build, cool looks and a fast and smooth UI. The battery life is good, which can go for two days if you are a light-to-medium user. While the daytime camera snaps come out natural and detailed, the night shots need some improvement; photos taken in dimly-lit environments do not come out to be sharp. Gaming-wise, this phone can perform well with heavy-duty mobile titles like Call of Duty: Mobile. Overall, this is a capable smartphone from iQOO which came close to being a well-balanced product. If you are looking to go a bit different with your next smartphone, while keeping a budget under Rs 25k, the iQOO Z3 is a capable device.

Despite its aggressive pricing, the iQOO Z3 5G has some tough competition to face. We've got the considerably cheaper Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro and the Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro - both very capable and powerful midrangers. However, they are also both missing the 5G modem, which the iQOO Z3 uses as a staple. So if you are after some future-proofing and want to be one of the first to benefit from the developing 5G network, the Z3 seems like a nice bargain as a whole package. But if you are looking for your best bang for the buck, you should probably look for it elsewhere.

Wrapping up this review, the iQOO Z3 an interesting phone, to say the least. With its powerful performance, effective thermal solution, 5G support, and decent cameras, the phone manages to stand out against the likes of POCO X3 Pro and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. Yet, iQOO’s unnerving decision to settle for an LCD panel, teardrop notch, and a mono speaker might be a deal-breaker to many. Having said that, if you’re looking for a dependable overall smartphone under INR 20K, the iQOO Z3 is an excellent contender.

The iQOO Z3 5G is a solid gaming smartphone in the midrange segment, but not an all-rounder due to mediocre camera performance and inconsistent custom-made Android 11 OS. Nevertheless, the phone covers a wide spectrum of features and specifications that are otherwise not easy to get in mid range smartphones. That said, consider the iQOO 3 5G primarily for the performance. For an all-round package, you might like to check out the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max (review), OnePlus Nord CE, and Samsung Galaxy A52 (review).

The iQOO Z3 remains a great value-for-money device with one of the best spec-sheets in the segment, if you can deal with the software issues. The phone still does not beat the performance of the Snapdragon 860-bearing Poco X3 Pro, which is simply more powerful. The iQOO Z3 does have 5G compatibility on its side though, making it a little more future-proof over the Poco X3 Pro.

With the Z3, iQoo now has a solid contender at the higher end of the budget smartphone segment. Its main hardware feature, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G processor, offers better performance than the competition, but it's not a giant leap. There's also a vibrant 120Hz refresh rate display and best-in-class charging with a 55W adapter in the box. Despite its plastic frame and back, the phone still looks quite good in its Cyber Blue finish, and is also somewhat future-ready because it supports 5G. The only downside is its average low-light camera performance. The iQoo Z3 offers incredible value for the hardware that it offers, priced starting at Rs. 19,999. Its closest competitor is the Realme X7 5G (Review) which offers 50W charging along with dual 5G standby on both SIMs.

The iQOO Z3 clearly has its hands full. But to its immense credit, it does not concede major ground to any of its rivals. So if you are questing for a good mid-segment phone with 5G connectivity, the iQOO Z3 deserves to be on your radar. The iQOO Z3 5G is iQOO's first phone targeted at the mid-segment of the Indian phone market. Although priced at a very competitive starting price of Rs 19,990, the iQOO Z3 5G will face a fair amount of competition.

All in all, iQOO Z3 5G can perform the daily smartphone functions well for a wide range of users. Yet, certain bells and whistles are missing in several aspects of its use that come to notice. For instance, the device misses out on a dual audio setup. This, along with not the best display in the market, makes for a less than optimum media experience on the smartphone. The iQOO Z3 5G camera, though capable in favourable conditions, leaves you wanting more out of it. An ideal scenario for the device is then restricted to regular smartphone use that involves staying connected on calls or messages, scrolling through your social media, occasional gaming sessions and photography. Double down on any of these for a specific use case, and there is a chance that you will be left disappointed.

iQOO is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with in the Indian smartphone market. The company hit the ball out of the ballpark with the iQOO 7 and the iQOO 7 Legend and now, has launched a compelling device to appease budget-conscious buyers too. To that note, the iQOO Z3 offers excellent performance for its starting price of just Rs 19,990, and the smartphone’s cameras can click quality images as well. What’s more, the device can charge rapidly at 55W, and power users will also benefit from the phone’s 120Hz display immensely. Of course, iQOO had to cut some corners to bring the price of the phone down and the device’s plastic chassis and LCD screen might raise some eyebrows. So, if you don’t game too much on your phone or care about future-proofing your device for the 5G revolution, then you’d be better off with handsets like the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max.

The IQOO Z3 5G is the first phone from the brand in India to come in the mid-range segment and is also the first phone in India to come with a Snapdragon 768G chipset. The iQOO 3 checks most of the boxes for being an ideal smartphone except secondary camera sensors and software. It is still a hard to beat smartphone at its price and is definitely worth looking at.

The iQoo Z3 is a toned-down version of the iQoo 3, which was a premium gaming-centric smartphone. A lot of high-end budget smartphones offer 5G support today, but the iQoo Z3 is one of the few smartphones in this segment to also offer a 120Hz refresh rate display and 55W charging. It is also currently the only one to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G processor. With that said, it will compete with smartphones such as the upcoming OnePlus Nord CE, the Xiaomi Mi 10i (Review), and the Realme X7 5G (Review). We have yet to complete our detailed review of this smartphone, which will give you a better idea about the performance gains that the Snapdragon 768G processor brings. So, stay tuned for our full review, coming soon on Gadgets 360.

The iQOO Z3 5G has attempted to carve its mark in the affordable 5G smartphone market by offering great performance, good battery life, and a fair number of features such as 120Hz refresh rate, IP52 rating, and 55W FlashCharge. However, the device does miss the mark when it comes to camera performance, which we found mediocre, at best. Also, the lack of stereo speakers is slightly disappointing, and the teardrop notch simply doesn’t look great.

From the experience point of view, iQOO Z3 is a very competitive product, such as the decentralization of flagship features such as Hawkeye 2.0, 4D game vibration, and game companion, which makes the gaming experience of this thousand yuan machine rich and full. For example, fast charging and temperature control during games also have impressive performances for players.
