76% iQOO Z9 Review – The Star Of the 4 Countries iQOO Fans Festival

The iQOO Z9 embodies function over aesthetics in the best way possible, and it makes sense given the price range as it targets the price-conscious consumers. This isn’t even a matter of getting a simple smartphone that can barely do anything as it performs well enough and some features like the display and speakers feel like a luxury to have. The 4D Game Vibration feature is an interesting addition but I personally didn’t really enjoy it so everyone’s mileage might vary for that one. Regardless, if you don’t plan on splurging on a smartphone and you don’t mind its bland looks, it’s hard to overlook this.

With a focus on both long battery life and performance, the iQOO Z9 inherits Turbo’s 6000mAh ultra-thin blue ocean battery and integrates it with TSMC’s 4nm energy-efficient Snapdragon 7 Gen3 chip, achieving a perfect balance between performance and energy efficiency. Through the battery dog test, the iQOO Z9 has achieved an unprecedented 15.5 hours of battery life, showcasing the prowess of this blue ocean battery. No other mobile phone in the same price range among Snapdragon 7 Gen3 devices can match its longevity. In actual game testing, both “Call of Duty” and “Peace Elite” maintain stable output close to the full frame at extreme image quality, with well-controlled body temperature, demonstrating excellent heat dissipation performance.

80% iQoo Z9 Review: A Reliable Mid-Range Phone With Decent Cameras
Source: NDTV Gadgets English EN→zh-CN
If you're looking for an affordable mid-range smartphone with good performance and decent photo quality, the iQoo Z9 is a good option to consider at this price point. It offers reliable battery life and has a bright AMOLED screen, while the processor definitely punches above its weight and makes up for the less-than-ideal UFS 2.2 storage. However, the handset faces tough competition from smartphones like last year's Samsung Galaxy M34 — while this handset's Exynos 1280 processor is slower than the one on the iQoo Z9, it boasts better camera quality and a (subjectively) better software experience, with a longer software support window. Similarly, the Realme 12+ 5G has an additional ultra-wide-angle camera and supports faster charging at 67W.

75% iQOO Z9 5G review: the best-performing phone under Rs 20,000
Source: 91mobiles English EN→zh-CN
Thanks to the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset, the iQOO Z9 5G is the fastest phone in the sub-Rs 20,000 segment as of March 2024. The phone performs smoothly during day-to-day usage and can run games without much lag as well. Additionally, the iQOO Z9 has a bright and attractive display, and good battery life combined with fast charging support. While the iQOO Z9 5G gets a dependable 50MP main camera, it could have benefitted from an ultra-wide sensor. Also, the phone is only likely to get two major software updates, which is a bummer considering some of the rivals in this segment like the Realme Narzo 70 Pro will get at least three major updates.

75% iQOO Z9 5G review: All-rounder experience under Rs 20,000
Source: India Today English EN→zh-CN
The iQOO Z9 5G is priced at Rs 19,999 in India and consumers can consider buying it if they are looking for an all-rounder experience. The performance is good for the price and you also get a punchy screen with support for dual stereo speakers, making the content-consuming experience enjoyable. The battery life is solid with light usage, and camera performance is decent as well, although it lacks an ultra-wide camera. Also, if you don't mind the bloatware (you can uninstall most of the third-party apps), then the iQOO Z9 is a good choice for you under Rs 20,000.

80% iQOO Z9 review: An affordable smartphone with solid basics

The iQOO Z9 might not look like much at first but it’s still got everything a modern smartphone user might want. Including the bank discount, the iQOO Z9 is available for Rs 17,999, which is almost Rs 4,000 cheaper than the similarly specced Nothing Phone (2a), which makes the iQOO Z9 a value-for-money smartphone.

75% iQOO Z9 Review: A surprisingly good all-rounder
Source: Think Digit English EN→zh-CN
iQOO has turned up the throttle this year. A company once only focused on performance has now come out with one of the best all-rounders in the sub-₹20,000 smartphone segment. The iQOO Z9 is a jack of all trades – it has the BEST performance under ₹20K, a fantastic primary camera that does extremely well in most conditions, and a gorgeous AMOLED display. The battery life is also pretty decent; it should easily last most users a full day. The only two areas where iQOO could step up more are design and UI. iQOO smartphones prioritise power above all – that’s the iQOO DNA we have become familiar with over the years. However, in the cutthroat smartphone market of 2024, that’s simply not enough. A focus on camera quality, battery life, and display is nearly essential. To that end, iQOO has taken it upon themselves to offer more holistic options across various budgets.

Vivo iQOO Z9 Smartphone Review
Source: OI Spice Tech News English EN→zh-CN Archive.org version
The Vivo iQOO Z9 has provided what other smartphones have been failing to do in the $200 price range. This price point used to be highly competitive but has since been bland. There hasn’t been any meaningful competition in this segment and that’s exactly what this smartphone wants to change. It certainly has the hardware and features to do so. Let’s take the design for example. It features a modern flat design with expressive patterns that many would love. The display is also fantastic with mostly uniform bezels and helps elevate the status of the smartphone. The chipset on the smartphone is quite fast and has the raw performance needed to be a champ in this segment. The camera is also quite capable and so is the battery. It’s not that there aren’t many smartphones with similarly capable specs and features.

Vivo iQOO Z9 Turbo Smartphone Review
Source: OI Spice Tech News English EN→zh-CN
The Vivo iQOO Z9 Turbo is an excellent phone in the mid-range segment, which allows users to get most of the trendy and useful specs. Unlike other brands, you are getting almost everything that can be expected from the phone. The plus point of buying this phone would be astounding performance, display, and good battery life. But, there’s no denying that the camera setup lacks to a certain extent. Moreover, the device will be limited to the Chinese smartphone market. On the other hand, there are multiple options available in the market, and at the same price. Vivo iQOO Z9 Turbo has its advantages and disadvantages. If you are looking for a similar deal for comparison, we recommend a Xiaomi Redmi Turbo 3. To be fair, the Redmi offers better camera quality and overall performance.

iQOO Z9 Turbo Review: A Smooth and Powerful Experience
Source: Igeekphone English EN→zh-CN
There is no doubt that the performance iron triangle of Snapdragon 8s Gen3 makes iQOO Z9 Turbo unquestionable in terms of performance, and its theoretical performance directly catches up with last year’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen2. In our actual test, the Genshin Impact mobile game directly surpassed the 60FPS baseline. Last year, this game level would have been difficult to experience without 4 or 5k, but iQOO Z9 Turbo directly lowered this performance standard to 2k files. Secondly, with the help of Turbo, the first independent graphics chip in the series, the iQOO Z9 Turbo has unprecedented super-frame and super-picture capabilities. It can run high-frame games with low power consumption and low-frame games with high frames. For the first time in the Z series, it is perfect. accomplish.

80% iQoo Z9x Review: Budget 5G Redefined?
Source: NDTV Gadgets English EN→zh-CN
The iQoo Z9x is a solid contender for a budget 5G smartphone in India. However, it does end up falling a bit short of the Moto G64 5G (Review) in some areas, including price. The Moto G64 5G is priced at an attractive Rs. 13,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and even has a 12GB + 128GB variant at Rs. 15,999, which is what the iQoo Z9x (8GB variant) I received for review retails for. Pricing aside, the G64 5G definitely has an attractive design, offers a clean and near-stock serving of Android 14 and has a primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) along with an ultrawide camera as well. Samsung's Galaxy M34 5G (launched last year) seems like a solid contender and is available from Rs. 14,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant.

80% iQOO Z9x review: An almost textbook-perfect budget 5G smartphone
Source: The Indian Express English EN→zh-CN
To democratise the 5G network, both network providers and smartphone makers must participate. With Jio and Airtel offering unlimited 5G internet, telcos seem to be doing their part. Now, with the launch of affordable 5G smartphones like the iQOO Z9x, OEMs also seem to be supporting the faster adoption of 5G in India.

71% iQOO Z9X 5G review: A safe approach
Source: Think Digit English EN→zh-CN
So the iQOO Z9X 5G is a very ‘iQOO’ smartphone. It has a brilliant price-to-performance ratio, it looks the part, has great battery backup and charging speeds, and comes with a very good display for the price. The only place where I thought the smartphone struggles is the camera. But of course, people don’t buy iQOO smartphones for their cameras. iQOO has pulled another iQOO. The brand has launched the iQOO Z9X, which is like a toned-down version of the already affordable iQOO Z9. While I was reviewing the iQOO Z9X, I was under the impression that this would be launched in a range of under ₹15,000. However, iQOO launched the smartphone for a starting price of under ₹12,000 which is outstanding given how this smartphone performs.

80% iQOO Z9x 5G review: an affordable powerhouse
Source: 91mobiles English EN→zh-CN
The iQOO Z9x carries a starting price of Rs 12,999 for the 4GB + 128GB variant, Rs 14,499 for the 6GB + 128GB variant, and Rs 15,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant. The closest rivals of the smartphone in its price range are the Moto G64 (review), POCO X6 Neo (review) and the Realme P1 5G (review). The Motorola G64 offers a stock Android-like UI and a similar 6,000mAh battery, while in comparison, the latter two feature an AMOLED display panel, which significantly improves the visual experience. The Realme P1 5G also offers a better performance output compared to the iQOO Z9x. For its price, the iQOO Z9x delivers impressive performance that dwarfs most similarly priced counterparts, a respectable visual experience, excellent battery backup, and a sleek design. While the cameras are not the best, they do a respectable job, and the other positive aspects more than compensate for it.

iQoo Z9x First Impressions: The New Budget 5G?
Source: NDTV Gadgets English EN→zh-CN
The iQoo Z9x surely seems to raise the bar when it comes to checking the boxes on a budget 5G smartphone. However, as we have seen with every budget 5G smartphone in the past, the focus has always been on offering a smooth 5G experience while ignoring camera performance and software optimisation. Has iQoo changed the game by cooking up something better? Stay tuned to our detailed review to find out.
