Xiaomi has some serious competition around the world. Phones such as the freshly announced OnePlus 8 Pro, as well as recent flagships such as the Samsung Galaxy S20, LG V60, Huawei P40 Pro, Oppo Find X2, and others are legit contenders with the Mi 10 Pro. Right now, the Mi 10 Pro is retailing for about $1,099 (€999, £879) from online retailers. That puts it directly in line with the cost of its direct competitors. So which do you choose? If you want something more mainstream, stick to the Samsung or the LG. They’re available at carrier stores and big box retailers and are the safe purchase. The Oppo Find X2 and OnePlus 8 Pro are incredibly similar, and are perhaps the best devices to put head-to-head against the Xiaomi. For those living in China, the Xiaomi is probably on equal footing with the Huawei P40 Pro. Most of these phones go spec-for-spec with one another and often the only thing separating them is perhaps camera quality and battery life. You can’t go wrong with any of these devices.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro 5G is a compelling alternative to Samsung's Galaxy S20 and S20 Plus with a battery that lasts much longer. However, its limited availability and incompatibility with some U.S. networks make it a risky import.

So while it doesn't cross all the checkboxes, it does cross all of the important ones for most people: performance is amazing, the cameras are very good, and battery life is great. On top of that, Xiaomi added something that's impossible to notice on a spec sheet: the experience of using this phone is incredibly good, day in and day out, on a regular basis. The performance and the software (with its optimizations but also with its animations and vibrations) conspire to give you the phone to beat in terms of how subjectively good it feels to use.

Xiaomi kept its design chops in check with the Mi 10 Pro, an unassuming, stealthy flagship that under promises and over delivers. The 90Hz display, fast battery, and quad-camera array make the Mi 10 Pro a serious contender in the premium space.

Overall, is the Mi 10 Pro worth it? It depends on the price, there’s no bad products, just bad prices. At the launch MSRPs of 999€ the 10 Pro I think certainly wouldn’t be worth the price as there’s other better alternatives out there such as the OnePlus 8 Pro. Currently the Mi 10 Pro however does go for around 760€ which is something a lot more reasonable and represents quite a fair price for the phone, with its cameras really being the only big weakness. Another issue seems to be limited availability, as this variant of the phone just isn’t as easily found as the regular Mi 10.

A great looking phone with a standout camera and excellent battery life; the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro packs the makings of a frontrunner. What holds it back is the interface, which is loaded up with a few too many quirks given the phone’s high price.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro is one of the best devices we have tested for rear camera quality, but unfortunately the selfie camera cannot quite keep up. It will do the job for anyone who wants to post the occasional selfie shot or video on social media and who isn’t too concerned about the lack of dynamic range or the ineffective stabilization system. However, if you are a vlogger or simply want high-quality front camera images and videos, better alternatives are available in the Xiaomi’s price bracket.

This is great phone in many areas, offering good build, a great camera, excellent speakers and a punchy display. However, the price is high and the software could be better, so it's one to watch and wait for a deal.

All that said, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro is a wonderful phone that covers all the bases and then some. Xiaomi did a great job designing a classy piece of hardware that looks as good as it feels. The 90Hz display is outstanding, the nearly two-day battery life is ridiculous, and the speedy processor performance is palpable. Loud stereo speakers and an IR blaster ensure that you’re always entertained. One niggle might be the software, and particularly the lack of an app drawer. The 108MP camera system is very, very good, though perhaps just short of excellent.

The Mi 10 Pro is Xiaomi's best phone to date. The 108MP camera takes outstanding photos in all lighting conditions, and you get the latest hardware money can buy today. The AMOLED panel has smooth scrolling thanks to the 90Hz refresh rate, and there's 50W wired and 30W wireless charging. The software has a learning curve, but overall you're getting a lot for your money.

That’s fairly good, nevertheless it’s not as spectacular because the charging pace of the pricier Oppo Find X2 Pro ($1,199 at Giztop), which charged as much as 100% in 38 minutes. One of my favourite issues concerning the Mi 10 Pro is its reverse wi-fi charging functionality. Featured on telephones such because the Galaxy S20 and OnePlus 8 Pro, the telephone can cost different telephones and equipment wirelessly. It’s a helpful function once you want that emergency top-up, say like charging your AirPods Pro earlier than a exercise. The Mi 10 Pro has the most recent Snapdragon 865 chipset with 12GB of RAM. On benchmark assessments, it stacked up properly towards different telephones with the identical chip.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro 5G costs roughly $1,100 when converted from its price in Europe (999 euros, which is about £890 or AU$1,660). It's stuffed with pretty much everything you'd expect from a premium 5G phone, including a Snapdragon 865 chipset, a 90Hz refresh-rate display, a 4,500-mAh battery and even a 108-megapixel rear camera.

The Mi 10 Pro is Xiaomi’s flagship for 2020 and from every angle, it’s a worthy competitor to the other major players in the Android space. It relies on its 108MP camera to grab people’s attention, but the massive sensor doesn’t bring the massive gains in image quality people might expect. The hardware package: display, speakers, chipset, battery, is excellent. Xiaomi hasn’t cut any corners with this model. But the same can’t be said for the software. The camera app and MIUI still need work, perhaps even an overhaul, before they can rival the best in the industry. While the Mi 10 Pro checks pretty much every box on the premium smartphone list, the limited availability and relatively high price for the brand make it a hard pick.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro is an accomplished phone, and its screen, cameras and battery capacity are all what you’d expect from a premium device – in particular, the speakers and charging speeds are some of the best you’ll find in a smartphone these days. However, there are a few too many annoying software quirks for the overall experience to be as smooth as we’d like – and the price is quite a bit more than you’d expect for a Xiaomi phone.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro is one of the most well-rounded smartphones we've seen this year, managing to provide competitive zoom levels without a unique telescoping lens. But in making a phone with all the bells and whistles, does Xiaomi do enough to justify the asking price?

But the Mi 10 Pro is worth the price and it gets our recommendation if you are after a top-tier phone. It is one of the most tempting offers on the market, but it should not be an impulse purchase - we suggest you make an informed decision by seeing what the competition has to offer as well.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro 5G gets just about everything right, with powerful hardware, excellent speakers, and some of the best camera performance you'll find on a smartphone. If you live in a country where Xiaomi phones are sold, think the Mi 10 Pro 5G is absolutely worth your consideration. If you’re in the US, there are good alternatives. The OnePlus 8 offers flagship-level specs and performance starting at just $699, though its camera performance doesn't quite measure up. For that, you're looking at spending significantly more on the $1,199 Galaxy S20+, which is about as close a comparison to the Mi 10 Pro as you'll find stateside.

That being said, this is clearly a divergence from Xiaomi’s traditional method of undercutting other players by a huge amount. Starting the device at €999 is sure to polarize users who are used to the immense value versus the competition. We’ll wait to make our final assessment of the device after we’ve had ample time to review it, but until then, we want to hear from you. What are your thoughts on the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro?

Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, as the heavyweight new product of the 10th anniversary of the Xiaomi Digital Series, is impeccable both in terms of stockpiling and performance. The system experience and camera quality of the phone itself also belong to the bucket style. Of course, the Xiaomi Mi 10 series still has some stability in design. Although the popular digging screens, curved glass and AG frosted glass and other technologies and designs are immediately available, they still follow a stable style. Shui feels that the only regret is that the 2K screen is not used. After all, it is commensurate with Pro, and the battery capacity is not small. Why not be more extreme?

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro delivered the most impressive overall Audio performance of any phone we have tested. It was also one of the most consistent performers across the board, making it an excellent choice for nearly any use case. It isn’t among the loudest phones we’ve tested, but other than that, it came in with leading or very competitive results in both our Playback and Recording tests.

If anyone still needed convincing that Xiaomi is one of the top camera designers in the mobile business after the Mi CC9 Pro Premium Edition’s stellar performance at the end of last year, the Mi 10 Pro should definitely cement Xiaomi’s reputation. Despite using very similar imaging hardware as the Premium Edition, Xiaomi managed to improve the Mi 10 Pro in several key areas, thanks to a combination of refined tuning and the processing boost of the Snapdragon 865 chipset.
