Reviews for the Xiaomi Poco X6 Pro 5G

Yes, the Poco X6 Pro is fun, even if it does have some weaknesses. This is actually par for the course, as smartphones priced below $400 inevitably have to make compromises here and there. In this case, Xiaomi fully focused on performance and ensures gamers can have fun with the device without any worries. However, if your main focus is on the camera, you should take a look at our gallery to be on the safe side and perhaps look at other models as an alternative. If you're not constantly connected to your smartphone, the battery can even last for two days without a power outlet. Thanks to the 67 W charging speed, you can have a few hours of use with just ten minutes of charging time. The display is excellent, I like the design and I don't mind the fat camera bump. 5G support? That's logical! The device is only splash-proof, which is a shame, but IP68 is anything but an extra at this price point.

As long as you don't want a camera-centric phone, the Poco X6 Pro should be at the top of your list. For its price of €350, there are hardly any other phones that can beat the price-to-performance of the Poco. The phone has a lot to like, including its ridiculously good 6.67-inch AMOLED panel, great performance, and smooth system animations. The fast charging and great battery life are like a cherry on top, adding further value to a great phone. But the Poco X6 Pro has issues. You may not like HyperOS, especially if you prefer the stock experience that Pixel phones typically offer. Bloatware and unwanted system apps remain an issue, and it's high time Poco addressed them. Overall, with the Poco X6 Pro, the company has again played on its strength. It has delivered a phone that will impress you with its design, specs, and performance but falter in the camera department. If that suits your needs, you can't go wrong with the Poco X6 Pro.

The POCO X6 Pro is an excellent performer in its segment. While performance may have been POCO’s priority, the device strikes a good balance of the display and cameras too, particularly the primary rear camera. But there are some areas where it lags the competition. Most notably, an IP54 rating isn’t the best you get at a sub-$400 price. The phone doesn’t give you the best ultrawide, macro, and selfie cameras either. Additionally, the Black and Gray variants with a glossy plastic back catch fingerprints and smudges too easily. If you plan to get this phone, picking up the vegan leather variant (Yellow color) might be the best idea.

Regarding the drawbacks, let’s start with the negatives since the positives have already been discussed a lot. Firstly, the photo quality is just good, and it would have been desirable for something more outstanding, and the additional modules are weak. The glossy finish on the models in black and gray colors is also a bit bothersome (but no one forbids you to buy a cool yellow one). Well, the dust and moisture protection rating could be higher. The new HyperOS is not a revolution and is very similar to the former MIUI, still containing ads in the branded applications and unwanted pre-installed software (bloatware). The key advantage, of course, is the new powerful chipset, which not only outperforms all competitors in the same price range but also has a high power reserve for the future.

In the market of mid-range smartphones, the Poco X6 Pro emerges as a formidable contender, challenging not just its direct competitors but also nudging the boundaries of what’s expected from a device in its price bracket. For those seeking flagship-like performance and features without the flagship price tag, this phone is an enticing option. After spending extensive time with the Poco X6 Pro, dissecting its features, performance, and overall user experience, it’s time to draw some conclusions. HyperOS, based on Android 14, offers a fresh and optimized user experience. While bearing resemblance to MIUI, it introduces enhancements and features that improve usability. The commitment to three years of OS updates and four years of security patches is a significant plus, promising longevity for the device.

The POCO X6 Pro stands out as a performance-oriented device, ideal for gaming enthusiasts and power users who need that extra bit of horsepower. The standard POCO X6, on the other hand, offers a balanced performance with slightly better selfie capabilities, making it a great choice for everyday users who value efficiency and versatility. Ultimately, the choice depends on your specific needs and budget considerations. Both phones deliver excellent value in their respective segments, maintaining POCO’s reputation for quality and affordability.

The overall performance is impressive, handling various tasks smoothly, and gaming experience is solid, thanks to the Ultra Game Mode. The HyperOS, based on Android 14, brings in some cool customisations, but there's a bit of bloatware –– albeit, uninstallable –– is still a drawback. The camera setup, especially the 64-megapixel primary sensor, churns out some fantastic daylight shots, and the zoom feature is surprisingly good. The phone's 5,000mAh battery, coupled with 67W fast charging, easily lasts a day and refuels in a jiffy. Overall, despite some design and camera limitations, the Poco X6 Pro offers a great deal for mid-range buyers. If you value strong performance and a vibrant display, this phone is definitely worth considering.

The Poco X6 Pro is hands down the best smartphone to buy in its segment. It has features like MediaTek Dimensity Ultra 8300 Ultra, 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display, and Xiaomi HyperOS, making it an ideal choice for most heavy users. While the camera is not its strongest suit, it produces decent results in daylight conditions. The battery life is also great, with the smartphone charging up fully under an hour, and lasting more than a day. The Poco X6 Pro starts at Rs. 26999 and is in a segment where heavy hitters such as Samsung, OnePlus and Motorola also have decent offerings. Despite this, for most buyers, it is the smartphone to go for.

The Poco X6 Pro 5G has the price of a premium mid-segment device but the soul of a flagship. That MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra chip, LPDDR5X RAM, 1.5K AMOLED display, and UFS 4.0 storage is the stuff of which higher price flagships are made. Its other specs are more premium mid-segment, but there is enough here to satiate the appetite of gamers and those seeking a lot of processing power on a tight budget. The Poco X6 Pro 5G is simply the most powerful device you can get for not just under Rs 30,000 but perhaps Rs 40,000. In true Poco F1 tradition, the Poco X6 Pro 5G is not one for those who seek glittering design or camera beauty, but for those who are looking for sheer power to race through tasks simple and complex. The premium mid-segment thing has a beast. And if you opt for the yellow variant, it’s a bit of beauty, too! Will the combination of new hardware and software and a killer price help the Poco X6 Pro 5G build on its recent success and overcome competition from the OnePlus Nord series and its own Redmi Note siblings?

The Poco X6 Pro is undoubtedly an excellent smartphone for the price, and Poco has a winner on its hand. It packs an excellent display, chart-topping performance and great battery life. The Dimensity 8300 Ultra offers flagship-level performance, beating even the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and can handle any game in the highest possible settings. Its 64-megapixel primary can take decent shots, but the 8-megapixel ultrawide and 2-megapixel macro lens are average at best. It is also the first phone in the country to run HyperOS out of the box with Android 14. Overall, the Poco X6 Pro is truly a flagship killer and is more powerful than any other phone under the 30K price segment. The only downside is the average camera and preinstalled bloatware. You can consider other alternatives, such as the Poco F5 and iQOO Neo 7 Pro, which offer similar performance but have a higher price tag.

While not flawless, the POCO X6 Pro merits consideration as a midrange smartphone. Its strengths lie in its refined design, vibrant display with thin bezels, robust stereo speakers, feature-rich camera system, highly customisable user interface, and top-tier performance. These attributes outweigh the weaknesses, primarily rooted in the user interface — an aspect that holds potential for improvement through firmware updates, should POCO choose to address them.

After using the Poco X6 Pro for over a week, I would recommend the phone to anyone looking for a midrange beast. If you're looking for a powerful smartphone under Rs. 30,000 that can play all your favourite games, has a great display, offers good battery life, and has a decent set of cameras, then the Poco X6 Pro is an excellent choice. HyperOS is also good; if you can ignore the bloatware, you've got a total bang for the buck. Apart from the camera performance and the IP rating, I'd recommend this over the Oppo Reno 11 Pro and the Redmi Note 13 Pro+.

Apparently, 8MP is all the resolution Xiaomi will expend to Pocos' ultrawide cameras, so stills will be somewhat limited in their detail and 4K video is a no-go. The fact that stabilization is a bit shaky on the main camera is another imaging-related gripe that we have with this model. Also in the gripes category is the smudge fest on the back of our review unit, though you could work around it by going for the yellow colorway or using the bundled case. Normally, we wouldn't have scoffed at an IP54 rating, but as it turns out the competition's dust and water game is a notch up and the X6 Pro isn't quite as protected. But the Poco's greatness shines brightest on the front, where the thoroughly excellent display tops things off nicely with Dolby Vision playback - a most welcome rarity. The speedy charging complements a solid battery life result too. A key selling point for the X6 Pro is the chipset has power to spare and actually comes in a package that's not a one-trick pony.

The POCO X6 Pro has a suggested retail price of Php 16,999 for the 8GB+256GB variant and Php 19,999 for the 12GB+512GB variant.

The Poco X6 Pro makes a number of small but potentially meaningful tweaks to a familiar formula, with a tighter design, an improved display, and a main camera that takes better shots in low lighting. Meanwhile, the new Dimensity 8300-Ultra processor offers almighty performance for such a cheap phone, and the phone’s stamina and wired charging provision remains extremely competitive. It should be noted that Xiaomi’s budget performance brand finds itself surrounded by classier, better-rounded competitors these days. For a little more money you can get the flagship-troubling delights of the Pixel 7a, while those who want to spend less can grab the startlingly complete Motorola Edge 40 Neo. Both offer a much nicer software environment, too. However, the Poco X6 Pro earns its elevated place on the mid-range market, particularly for gaming fans on a budget. It’s more of a dedicated specialist rather than a talented all-rounder, but it does what it does very well indeed.

POCO is offering sizeable upgrades with the X6 Pro, and the result is a device that's much better than its predecessor. It uses the same 120Hz AMOLED panel as the Redmi Note 13 Pro+, and it is nearly twice as bright and does a great job with Dolby Vision content. The internal hardware is noticeably faster, the phone is great for gaming, and you get a decent camera at the back along with stellar battery life and fast charging. Sure, the auxiliary cameras aren't great, and video recording is strictly average, and Xiaomi's Android 14 skin isn't all that it is made out to be. But the fact that you get much better hardware and long-term updates makes the X6 Pro the best option in Xiaomi's sub-$400 portfolio at the moment, and that's no small feat.

The POCO X6 Pro 5G deserves to be crowned the value king in the sub-₹30,000 price segment. Starting at a competitive price of ₹26,999, the POCO X6 Pro 5G offers flagship-grade performance with impressive cooling, Android 14 and HyperOS out of the box, a decent build, and an improved camera. It butts heads with more expensive offerings in the market such the iQOO Neo 7 Pro and provides comparable performance on a discount. Tech enthusiasts will undoubtedly reminisce about POCO’s initiation of the ‘flagship killer’ movement with the iconic POCO F1 (review). Since then, the brand has consistently demonstrated commitment to delivering unparalleled value without compromising on quality. Fast forward to 2024, and POCO continues this legacy with the introduction of its POCO X6 series of smartphones. In my hands for review is the POCO X6 Pro 5G, a device that left me in awe of its formidable power, complemented by a robust array of specifications and features.

Unboxing Xiaomi's Poco X6 5G, with a comparison vs the Poco X6 Pro phone to see if the camera, gaming performance, battery life etc is much different. While the specs are quite similar on the Poco X6 and that Pro model, this cheaper option is powered by a Snapdragon vs Mediatek chipset. You've got the same camera tech, although photo results are slightly different. And this side-by-side review will show off all of the other differences with these value Xiaomi phones. While the Xiaomi Poco X6 5G is more budget friendly, you've got some advantages like a headphone jack and a slightly bigger battery. Plus Gorilla Glass Victus to protect that display. It's still running MiUI, but HyperOS is on its way!

Unboxing Xiaomi's Poco X6 Pro 5G, with a one-week review of the camera performance, gaming, battery life & Hyper OS. I've used the Poco X6 Pro as my full-time phone for those seven days and it's a big upgrade in some ways, incremental in others. But it's certainly one of the best budget mid-range smartphones in 2024 and a hot rival vs the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus. That 64MP main camera is a respectable effort, if not much of an upgrade over the X5 series. The Poco X6 Pro can capture crisp photos if the lighting isn't too dodgy, as well as 4K video on demand. If you're a gamer, multi-tasker or heavy user, the Poco X6 Pro will be a smart choice on a budget. That Dimensity 8300 Ultra chipset can make short work of Genshin Impact and other Android titles, while the battery life is also superb. Film fans will adore that 1.5k AMOLED screen with Dolby Vision and HDR10 support. The Poco X6 Pro 5G also boasts boomy stereo speakers and Xiaomi's latest Hyper OS launcher, which smells a bit like MiUI. So you've got the same Game Turbo features etc.
