Reviews for the Xiaomi Redmi 7A
The Xiaomi Redmi 7A is available for $100. Its predecessor already had quite a lot to offer considering its low price. The Redmi 7A, at first glance, does not seem to offer a lot of changes. Can it keep up its great price-to-performance ratio?

The Redmi 7A offers a lot of smartphone for under £100, with a decent camera, great battery life and solid speakers among the highlights. However, there are a number of frustrations which affect everyday usage, most notably the paltry 2GB of RAM. If you’re on a strict budget this is a good option, but we’d recommend spending just a few pounds extra to get a more complete experience.

The Redmi 7A is cheap but nonetheless cheerful in a couple of key areas – particularly the battery, but also the screen and build quality. However, its underwhelming internal specs make it hard to recommend, even at its low price.

With a relatively petite frame, great battery life, a sturdy design and an attractive price point, the Redmi 7A is quite a steal. But with limited RAM, divisive software and an iffy camera, it isn’t an instant recommendation.

The Xiaomi Redmi 7A has all the hallmarks of an affordable Android phone; the thick, heavy polycarbonate build, the sub-Full HD resolution screen, the use of microUSB connectivity and the limited memory and storage options. However, the collective impression is that the Redmi 7A looks, feels and handles like a phone at the very least double what it actually costs; with premium components, features typically reserved for far more advanced and higher-end handsets, and a few talents that help it stand out.

Xiaomi’s budget offerings have had free reign in the lower end of the market for quite a while now, with very few worthy opponents in terms of both price and performance. That’s changed this year, and the Redmi 7A will be doing battle with a lot of other really good smartphones in the same price range this year. Let’s take a look at what you’ll get when you do decide to pick up the phone:

To summarize, the Redmi 7A has few positives like the bigger battery, better camera and a Snapdragon processor. The device manages to capture satisfactory images that are shareable on Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms.

If you're looking to buy a phone that's inexpensive yet powerful enough to get you through your day, the Redmi 7A's definitely the phone you should be looking at. The stellar battery life, a decent processor and a clean and sturdy build does make the Redmi 7A the sweetest deal you could have for Rs 5,999.

Priced at Rs 5,999, the Redmi 7A is a well-packaged product in the entry-level smartphone segment. For first-time smartphone users, the Redmi 7A is excellent! Consider this phone for its splash resistant build, minimal design, capable cameras, and decent performance. Besides, the phone comes with two years’ warranty, which makes it a good investment.

The Redmi 7A is a major upgrade over the Redmi 6A (Review) with improvements in almost all areas. The design is fresh and the build quality is better too. The display is also decent for the asking price, and the rear camera performs well under daylight.

The Xiaomi Redmi 7A starts at ₹5,999 for its 16 GB storage variant and ₹5,999 for its 32 GB storage variant. However, for the month of July, both models will be available for ₹5,799 and ₹5,999 respectively. What we missed? The Redmi 7A lacks a fingerprint scanner, a secondary camera (preferably a dual camera setup on the back), an IR Blaster, but these can be ignored for what it’s been offered, considering the price, there’s nothing much to ask. On the positive side, the Redmi 7A has a dedicated microSD slot, a huge 4,000 mAh battery, 2.0 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 439 CPU, Face Unlock, and comes with a 2-year long warranty.

Redmi 7A is a standard-looking smartphone from Xiaomi. There is nothing new in terms of design or display. The chipset is an upgrade from its predecessor and so is the battery capacity. The camera performance is yet to be tested out and the software optimisation is one area to look forward. As for the competition is concerned, it sure has some tough competition including Realme C2, Infinix Smart 3 Plus, Nokia 2.2 and more.

The Redmi 7A comes at a time when Xiaomi’s competitors are wising up. It isn’t the only company selling quality hardware at an affordable price. With that in mind, Xiaomi will have to focus on broader aspects of the phone like the software experience that is increasingly becoming irksome to users.

Screen quality for the price is really good, handset is pretty handy, comfortable and light weight. Overall performance is decent, you can use it for normal applications and even play PUBG in low quality mode, do check the PUBG gameplay in this video review.

The Redmi 7A isn't for everyone. The phone is targeted at consumers looking for an affordable phone that is decent enough to handle basic usage with ease. Consumers looking for a powerful phone should be willing to spend close to Rs 10,000. But for those who want a cheap and decent smartphone, Redmi 7A for a price of Rs 5,999 is a really good option.

大尺寸可以让屏幕有更高的分辨率。因而例如字体等的细节将会更丰富。不过另一方面,小屏幕的功耗会较低,而设备也会更轻盈小巧,售价更低。
