Redmi has presented us with a small update of its predecessor Note 10S in the Note 11S model. Who is this smartphone for? For undemanding users who need a device for everyday use. If you’re looking for an inexpensive device with a good camera, rich specs, a smooth interface, a long-lasting battery, and NFC, the Redmi Note 11S is a good choice among the latest budget smartphones. Which Note 11 smartphone should I choose? The 11S is a mid-range variant between the basic Redmi Note 11 and the more advanced Redmi Note 11 Pro. The 11S has a 108MP main camera, which is much better than the 50MP of the base Redmi Note 11. In addition, the 11S version is aimed at demanding users, as the manufacturer does not offer a 4GB RAM variant, but provides faster speeds and better cameras. But if you want to play games on your phone in addition to everyday use, then you should pay attention to the Note 11 Pro.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S 5G’s overall battery performance earned it a spot among the top 10 devices in our database. The default settings on the Redmi Note 11S 5G provided an excellent performance, with 3 full days of autonomy in moderate use as well as very good autonomy during all the on-the-go tests, especially when using social apps. But when it came to our calibrated tests, the performances were average. We believe this difference is due to the display’s low brightness level in default mode, which would provide more autonomy but could affect the user’s overall experience. The Redmi Note 11S 5G’s charging time was longer than average: It took 54 minutes to charge 80% of the large 5000 mAh battery, and 1 hour and 20 minutes to fully charge it. The charging power curve showed that the maximum power was 29.6W, never reaching the 33W advertised. However, thanks to its excellent autonomy, the Redmi Note 11S 5G recovered on average 4 hours and 44 minutes of usage after 5-minute charging, which is above the average of our database.

Honestly, this year has not been that good for the budget segment with brands nerfing their newer models in one aspect or the other. In Note 11S, it’s the Mali G57 GPU which is a step down from Note 10S’ quad-core Mali G76. There is no 4K recording as well. However, if you overlook these minor details, Redmi Note 11S is actually a decent mid-range phone for 2022, especially for multimedia consumption. It could have been better with some camera and software optimization. Still, there are some good alternatives if you have a little room to wiggle in your budget. The first suggestion would be the Note 10 Pro, which is marginally expensive but offer a 120Hz screen, a more premium design, and optimized cameras. You can also go with the latest Note 11 Pro 5G (Pro+ 5G in India) if you want 5G connectivity as well. There is also Poco X3 Pro for guys that really don’t care about AMOLED screen and want the best performance possible.

You'd find it hard to single out the Redmi Note 11S 5G from the myriad other Redmi Note 11s, and that's before considering their Poco counterparts. Names mean little in this lineup, and regional segmentation is the inherent limiting factor that determines what's available to you, though that might only help to a certain extent. In any case, the Redmi Note 11S 5G is a reasonably priced 5G-capable smartphone offered in Europe. In its cheapest trim level is among the most accessible ones. At that price point, it's easier to swallow its somewhat underpowered chipset, the relatively low max brightness of its display and the lack of 4K video recording - that being all too common in the budget segment this year. Conversely, you'll appreciate this Redmi's excellent endurance and nice stereo speakers, while the selfies are among the better ones in the class. Meanwhile, the rear camera's performance is neither spectacular nor terrible, and the charging speed is similarly where you'd expect it to be. At the price tier of the top memory configuration, however, superior alternatives exist.

For RM999, the Note 11S 5G is one of the best value-for-money devices in its price range. Compared to its other Note 11 siblings, the combination of its Dimensity 810 chipset and 90Hz screen makes it a snappy device while keeping your wallet happy. It's decent at running popular mobile games, excellent for everyday use, and has long-lasting battery life. This combination is hard to beat, especially for under RM1000. If your budget is within this price range, you can't go wrong with the Note 11S 5G. However, one thing you should definitely consider is whether you should spend a bit more for a better overall smartphone with another Redmi Note, the Note 11 Pro 5G (RM1199). The latter not only comes with a better 108MP main camera but also has a 120Hz AMOLED screen and a slightly better processor with the Snapdragon 695 5G. That's a lot of upgrades for just another RM200! Another option is the realme 9 Pro (RM1099). For just an additional RM100, it gives you a 6.6-inch 120Hz IPS screen, a slightly faster Snapdragon 695 5G SoC, and a better 64MP main camera.

With a starting price of Rs. 30,000, the phone offers a decent multimedia experience and gaming performance. Xiaomi has not compromised much on the aspect of day-to-day usage. However, Xiaomi needs to work on the phone’s camera as it is not as good as it seems on paper. I also would have liked the phone more had Xiaomi shipped with the latest software and a dedicated proximity sensor. Still, I believe that it is currently the best phone under Rs. 30,000 in Nepal. It has its weaknesses but the overall features are unmatched in this price range in Nepal right now.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S is a good smartphone with a solid splash-resistant build, an attractive design, excellent battery life, loud speakers, and a reliable camera experience. And it offers many fan-favorite extras like a standalone microSD slot, a 3.5mm audio jack, an IR port, and FM radio. So, at the end of the day, the Redmi Note 11S is a good phone and will keep most people happy as long as they don't care about games. It's just a bit pricey and not very well positioned right now. And unless it gets a sensible price cut, or its competitors get discontinued, we just cannot recommend it.

By comparing the phone with the Redmi Note 11S, we will find that the screen is less than the one in the Note 11S, and the cameras, whether back or front, have become less in terms of accuracy and functionality. The phone came to offer the 5G networks, but with many concessions from the regular version in our markets.

Last year’s Redmi Note 10S was a reliable choice in the budget segment with a pretty looking rear design. The successor- Redmi Note 11S is still a performance master in its price segment. Support for a 90Hz refresh rate is a good addition. However, the design of the Redmi Note 11S is average and does not stand out from others. Also, the camera performance is less than satisfactory. At Rs 16,499, Redmi Note 11S is a mixed bag. Poco M4 Pro 4G, Realme 9 Pro and even Redmi’s own Note 11T are some of the tough competitors of the Redmi Note 11S.

The Note 11S offers quite a bit for its $300 price , and as long as you aren't running 20 apps at once or playing high-powered graphical games, then you should be just fine with the processor and performance of the phone. It has great looks, solid build quality and seems to be a much more capable phone than we used to buy at just $300. Since we spend so much time interacting with the display on our phones, the high refresh rate in both of these phones sets them apart from other phones in this price range. The AMOLED display, decent speakers, and headphone port make these solid phones for media. As long as you are not looking to capture professional photos on your phone, then the Redmi Note 11 Pro or 11S are some of the best affordable phones we have tested in 2022.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S is an interesting hybrid of the Redmi Note 11 and the Redmi Note 11 Pro, offering a tidy budget phone that’s cut from the same cloth as the former, but with the more capable camera of the latter. Its availability is set to be more limited than either of its brothers, which makes sense, as it doesn’t really do enough to distinguish itself from the pack. Where available, however, it’s a classy option for anyone looking for sharp photos at a budget price. The use of a Mediatek Helio G96 chip comes with mixed blessings. On the one hand, its raw performance is stronger than that of the plain Note 11. On the other hand, the older technology at its core results in inferior battery life when you push it a little harder. Where available, the Redmi Note 11S serves as an effective highlights package of the entire Note 11 range and a very good budget option for those seeking a little extra photographic pop. As long as you don't need 5G.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S has a decent processing power, good camera, elegant layout but without 5G support, lower refresh rate & average gameplay is all that sums up in this smartphone. No fancy stuff, but it will be satisfactory for the overall experience. Although if you are already using Redmi note 10, Redmi note 10s, or Redmi note 10 Pro, please skip this because the upgrades are not too incremental. However, if you are a new user the Redmi note 11S may serve you pretty well. You must compare some of its alternatives under the same budget as the Vivo iQOO U5 and choose according to your requirements.

The Redmi Note 11S is not perfect, but in best Note tradition, it scores on basics and then throws in some features that the competition will find hard to match – in its case, the 108-megapixel camera, the brilliant AMOLED display, and those very decent stereo speakers. This is why we are terming this a mighty Redmi Note. It is easily the most powerful of the Redmi Note 11 series devices launched thus far, and we suspect will give ground only to its Pro siblings which are due to arrive soon. It has no 5G onboard and does not boast a brand new processor, but the Redmi Note 11S still does enough to be called the most powerful device in the Redmi Note 11 series thus far, and a very good option for those wanting a 4G Redmi Note!

Redmi normally kicks off the year by launching the Note series in India. It often sets a high standard. This year, the phone company has taken a new approach. Rather than unveiling all of the Note 11 smartphones at once, Xiaomi is launching them one after another. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S and Note 11 are the most recent additions to the lineup. The Redmi Note 11S has 108MP quad cameras, a MediaTek Helio G96 octa-core SoC, and 33W Pro fast charging, among other features. The display quality is excellent; it features a 6.43-inch 90Hz AMOLED display, which is a great factor. Unfortunately, this phone does not support 5G. Xiaomi may launch a 5G model in the future. Is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S the best smartphone in India under Rs 20,000? Here’s what I think of the latest Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S after using it for a few days.

As I noted in the beginning, the Redmi Note 11 lineup is a lot more complicated now. The price for this phone starts at Rs 16,499 going up to Rs 18,499. The competition includes the Vivo T1 5G, which has a slightly lower starting price point at Rs 15,990, though its most expensive version costs Rs 19,990. Plus, the T1 5G gets a 120 Hz display and Snapdragon 695 processor and is 5G ready. There’s also the Realme 9 Pro, though it starts at Rs 17,999 with a 120Hz refresh rate on the display, it has the same processor as the Vivo and 5G connectivity. So, if you are a user with a budget above Rs 16,000, the choices will leave you confused. The Redmi Note 11S’s strongest points are the performance and the camera, which will make it appealing for users in this segment. But it does have a lower display refresh rate and misses out on 5G connectivity. The latter though is not a deal-breaker in my view unless you need a device for the next two to three years.

Paying an extra Rs. 3,000, the Redmi Note 11S comes across as a decent deal for mobile gamers who still want the best of all worlds. From a lively AMOLED display to a fast-enough processor, good battery life, and a decent camera experience, the Redmi Note 11S delivers all that in a notably superior way than the regular Redmi Note 11. The cameras need some tweaking on Xiaomi's part and the fit-n-finish could have been better, considering last year's Redmi Note 10S still feels like a better built phone. The cost cutting to include the 90Hz AMOLED display seems evident with the build quality. But it is 2022 and the sub- ₹20,000 smartphone space has seen lots of potent options from Redmi's rivals. The Vivo T1 is high on performance and 5G, while the Motorola Moto G71 for a little more, offers a faster Snapdragon 695 chip paired with better battery life and a clean Android experience. Redmi's own Redmi Note 11T is another solid option for performance seekers and the cloned versions from Poco offer better value with some bold design.

The Redmi Note 11S feels like a bit of a stopgap solution till the Redmi Note 11 Pro series arrives, and if you've set your heart on a Redmi phone already, then last year's Redmi Note 10 Pro actually offers better value at the same price. The 108-megapixel camera is this phone's main selling point. It can capture good photos if you're shooting at the native resolution during the day, but otherwise it's strictly average, as are the rest of the sensors. The SoC isn't particularly powerful for a phone in this price segment, and the lack of 5G doesn't help its case either. I think it would be best to hold off for a while before you make any purchase decision regarding this phone, as better options are sure to launch soon.

Our review of the Redmi Note 11S in the Philippines shows that the middle child of the Redmi Note 11 series is a very capable phone if you prioritize performance over battery life. While it is barely any different from its vanilla sibling, upgrades on the main camera and processor make the Redmi Note 11S the true budget mid-range champ from Xiaomi. Xiaomi Philippines hasn’t revealed the official price of the Redmi Note 11S as of writing this review, but based on global pricing, we expect it to be more expensive than the Redmi Note 11 by at least Php 3k.

The Redmi Note 11S has a 90 Hz AMOLED display, a newer MIUI 13 version, and better cameras (108 MP) compared to its predecessor Redmi Note 10S. The performance is good, offers stereo speakers for a better multimedia experience, and supports 33W fast charging. Do note that, you don’t get 5G support on this phone, no Android 12 out-of-the-box, and it doesn’t record 4K videos which could be a letdown if you are looking for such traits in this budget. The Redmi Note 11S is a reasonable option between ₹15,000 to ₹20,000 price bracket unless you want a 5G smartphone.

The Redmi Note 11S is an incremental upgrade to last year's Note 10 series smartphones. It doesn't feel like a disruptor as the Redmi Note 10 Pro which was introduced at the same price. There is no 5G support or Android 12 on this phone. Still, it gets a few things right. The 90Hz AMOLED display at this price is a welcome move, performance should satisfy most users and the 5000mAh battery is quite impressive. The Redmi Note 11S is positioned quite well among the Note 11 series. It’s like an upgraded version of the Note 11, sporting a powerful chipset that performed better in AnTuTu, a higher main camera resolution, a higher front camera resolution, bigger RAM, and longer battery life. Xiaomi, however, is yet to reveal the price of the Redmi Note 11S. Considering that the Redmi Note 11 6GB + 128GB is already at PHP 9,999, we can expect the 11S to be more expensive. Is it worth getting? If the advantages mentioned above is what you’re looking for and if it’s priced attractively, then the answer is yes.

The Redmi Note 11S is a great example of how far budget smartphones have come. Just a few years ago, Android phones with three-figure price tags had driven me onto the brink of madness with their constant lagging at the most mundane tasks, but the real-world performance of this phone is almost comparable to one twice its price. Of course, It’s not for mobile gaming enthusiasts, but that’s clearly not the demographic Xiaomi is aiming for with the Note 11S. Not only would I happily recommend the Note 11S to those on a scarce budget, I’d go so far as to say it’s a good choice for any casual smartphone user who doesn’t want to overpay for high-end features that they’ll never use but still get a device that meets their daily needs.

The Redmi Note 11S is a compelling offering and I feel that it certainly does its bit to justify the Rs 16,499 price tag. The design is slick, the display is awesome and the performance is decent. I do, however, strongly feel that Redmi should have tweaked its photography algorithms to get better low light shots. Also, the UI has some bloatware in the form of Mi-branded apps, and the phone still runs on the old Android 11. I feel that if you are willing to overlook these few drawbacks and aren’t inclined towards heavy gaming, the Redmi Note 11S can be a very good option.

In the short time I've spent using the Redmi Note 11S so far, I have found it to be well-built and fairly rugged. The bland design is a bit unappealing to me, but if you'll be using a case, this really shouldn't be an issue. My biggest concern though is how the Redmi Note 11S will fit into Xiaomi's existing lineup. We know that the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G launch is inevitable, as it has already been unveiled globally, and it might just arrive in India rebranded as the Redmi Note 11E. If you're looking for a 4G-only Redmi smartphone, the Redmi Note 10 Pro is still available and offers better features than the Redmi Note 11S.

Where the phone really shines, though, is its price, which starts at $249 for 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, going up to just $299 for 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. From that perspective, it's hard not to be impressed with how Xiaomi managed to cram in so many features at such a low price point. On the other hand, you could wonder how Xiaomi is able to price the phone so aggressively despite all of the features it packs. The top-of-the-line Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G model maxes out at only $379 for the same memory configurations, making the Redmi Note 11S the most notable mid-range phone series so far.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S smartphone is another release by Redmi in the upper mid-range smartphone category launched at $360 (Rs. 26,999 in India) approx. This phone features a tiny dot-notched 6.43 inches AMOLED display panel, 90Hz refresh rate, and impressive 1000 nits peak brightness. You also get IP53 dust and splash resistance with the device, along with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The Note 11S renders performance with the 12nm MediaTek Helio G96 chipset capable of reaching at max 2.05GHz cloaking speed with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The device is available in 6GB/8GB RAM, and 64GB/128GB internal storage options with the support of a dedicated SD card slot. A quad-rear camera setup mounted at the back carrying a 108MP main lens is the primary highlight of this smartphone. With that, you get an 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth lens along with 1080p video recordings support. The tiny dot-notched 16MP selfie captures decent clicks and supports 1080p video recordings at 30fps, similar to the rear camera setup.

The Redmi Note 11 Series has increased in price if you compare to the previous gen. While I think the Redmi Note 11S is still decent enough, I sincerely think that they could do more. Seeing how the Redmi Note 11 Pro is just RM100 more (for the same storage configuration), there is arguement that you might as well go for that. With the Pro version, it runs on the same chipset but comes with a bigger display with 120Hz refresh rate plus a faster 67W fast charger instead. It doesn’t seem too bad of a deal if you went a bit extra and get the Pro instead. If you are interested on the Pro version, be sure to stay tuned to Pokde.net as we are in the midst of reviewing it.

Finally – the ultimate question is – should you buy the Redmi Note 11 or the Redmi Note 11S? Between these two phones, I can’t really pick for you. They both have their own strengths but they’re not significant enough to differentiate themselves from each other. I generally think both the phones have increased in terms of price – particularly the Reedmi Note 11S. When we compare with the last generation’s Redmi Note 10 and Redmi Note 10S, the differences are apparent. Personally, I’ll wait for the Redmi Note 11 Pro and also the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G before making any decisions. Though from what I can see, the specs of these two Pro variants are very similar to the Redmi Note 11S.
