Reviews for the Realme C35

If you’re a casual user who’s just looking for a solid daily driver for light tasks, keep you connected online, a device that can cater to your binge-watching needs, and capable cameras without breaking the bank, keep this device in mind. The realme C35 is priced at PHP 8,499 for the 4GB + 64GB, and PHP 9,499 for the 4GB + 128GB.

Overall, the Realme C35 is priced at Php. 8,499 for the 4/64 variant, and Php. 9499 for the 4/128 variant. Is it a good enough device for an entry-level smartphone? Aesthetically speaking yes, it is impressive, especially the new look. It faces stiff competition, especially from other budget-friendly devices equipped with better chipsets, 5G capability, and even higher refresh rate displays. But it’s a decent phone with an attractive design and impressive camera performance. Realme C35 still delivers some gaming performance and battery life, but if you are aiming to play higher type games in the same price category. There are other options in the market.

2022 is a big year for Realme, with GT 2 Pro and Realme 9 Pro Plus providing top features in the upper mid-range market. Now realme announces their new addition to their budget phone lineups. The Realme C35 comes with a new look apart from the other C-series. It offers a sleek and minimal design, but rather than those, what else can it offer?

Despite rather liking the Realme C35, it’s ultimately very hard to recommend. Yes, it’s a stunning handset for the price, with an excellent screen and adequate performance, but it’s undermined by the Realme C31 which is only slightly slower and provides better photography for £40 less. Yes, the C35 looks nicer and undoubtedly has a more colour accurate, higher resolution screen, but if you’re shopping at the budget end of the market, are these things really worth the extra outlay? Besides, if you do have a bit more money to burn, it’s probably better to fork out an extra £30 and get a Nokia G50 or shop around for a deal on the older Poco X3 NFC or Moto G50 instead. You won’t be disappointed by the C35, but Realme is a victim of its budget success. Why pay more when the C31 already offers so much?

With that, we’ve reached the end of this Realme C35 review. In its quest to deliver killer looks in the budget segment, the phone makes quite a lot of sacrifices when it comes to performance, display, and more. Its 50MP main camera performs as intended, but the lack of an ultrawide camera sticks out like a sore thumb. For the same price, the Samsung Galaxy F22 ticks off almost all the gripes I have with the C35. And if you are strictly looking for a Realme phone, spending Rs. 2,500 more lands you the Narzo 50. Moreover, the Redmi Note 11 is yet another terrific alternative if you’re willing to extend your budget a little.

If you're looking for a budget buy then the Realme C35 is mighty impressive Android handset considering its price point, delivering a strong main camera, reasonable performance considering the cost, and an eye-catching design that doesn't go over-the-top with its focus on logos and branding. Don't expect miracles for your money, but there's little else out there that'll compete at this price point.

If your priority is to buy a smartphone with a big display, powerful enough processor, and a bigger battery with a decent enough camera at a low price, then the Realme C35 smartphone is an excellent option. So if you are happy with the specs you are getting then you may choose this smartphone. Everything seems decent about the C35 phone but there are a few better options available in the market at the same price range. The Realme C35 phone does have some disadvantages such as without 5G support, default refresh rate, and no ultra-wide camera. So, if you want an ultra-wide camera and a higher refresh rate display, then you may look at some alternatives such as the Realme Narzo 50 smartphone.

The Realme C35 might be an extremely cheap phone, but it still attempts to make a statement with its bold and angular design. Realme has largely hit the mark on the photographic front too, courtesy a competent 50Mp main camera. On paper, a 6.6in IPS LCD doesn’t sound too impressive, but it turns out to be a sharp and accurate component. It was a smart decision going with a 60Hz refresh rate too, given that there’s a relatively humble Unisoc Tiger T616 processor driving things along. A large 5000mAh battery and speedy (for the price) 18W charging complete what proves to be a well-balanced budget package, though as ever at this end of the market, a little more money will go a long way. If you can't stretch that little bit further, this is one of the best phones you can buy for under £150.

The Realme C35 is one of the best budget camera phones of early-2022, packing a 50-megapixel main camera that takes surprising pictures during the day or night, and punching above its weight in the software and performance areas, too. Some might find the design and display lacking, but that’s forgivable when you consider the price of the device.

The lower end of the budget smartphone segment offers plenty of choices these days. Realme has quite a selection of models to choose from, many of which are priced pretty close to one another. Poor camera performance and sub-par battery life are the biggest weaknesses of the Realme C35, even considering its price. Its design is the only feature that makes it stand out. As far as alternatives go, the Realme Narzo 50 is available starting from Rs. 12,999, and offers much better hardware including a MediaTek SoC, 120Hz display, higher resolution selfie camera, and 33W charging. We haven't reviewed it yet, but going by specs, it should offer much better performance than the C35. Beyond Realme, there's also the Micromax In 2B (Review). It offers a smoother (and bloatware-free) software experience and much better gaming performance at a lower price. Motorola's Moto G31 (Review) is now available at Rs. 11,999, and this phone offers a near-stock Android software experience, an AMOLED display, and a water-repellent design.

The Realme C35 is a standard budget offering from Realme, no different from its previous C series devices except this time the performance seems to be lacking just a bit. Aspects like design, battery life and the stripped-down software skin are fine, while the display is above average in terms of viewing quality. Daylight image capturing could be improved although I was satisfied with the nighttime shots. I feel that if it is better performance you are after, and are fine with sacrificing a bit on the software experience, the Infinix Note 11 (review) is a cheaper and worthy option. Xiaomi’s Redmi 9 Power (review) and Narzo 50A (review) offer bigger batteries while the Moto G31 puts in an AMOLED display at the same price. However, the Realme C35 acts as a jack of all trades and can be considered a decent option for under Rs 12,000.

The realme C35 looks stunning, offers a great design, it has a Dynamic Glowing Design that glows when light falls on it, the flat edges and slim form factor makes the smartphone a solid looker. It also comes with a decent hardware package and the 50 MP camera appears suitable in the segment. We will share the camera samples, and other features of the realme C35 soon. Stay tuned.
