Reviews for the Realme X3 SuperZoom
The two main features of the Realme X3 SuperZoom are the 5x periscope zoom and a 120 Hz screen. On paper, the powerful Realme smartphone with the Snapdragon 855+ and plenty of RAM should be superior to other devices in our review. However, that is not the case, at least as far as the raw performance is concerned. That being said, the Realme flagship offers great data transfer speeds, thanks to UFS 3.0 memory and a 2x2 MIMO modem.

Realme are finding their feet in the smartphone battle and will probably need to do something a bit different in the future to stand out, but for now this is a good phone and will help the brand challenge in the UK.

So, should you buy the realme X3 SuperZoom? The realme X3 SuperZoom gets most of the things right with few shortcomings. It shines with a fantastic performance, great battery life, and has the best zoom capabilities as of now in the sub Rs. 30,000 price segment. On the other hand, the design is familiar and there is nothing new here. Similarly, it falls short in the display department and the camera performance in low-light ain’t that impressive. If you are looking for a smartphone under Rs. 30,000 that offers an amazing performance, solid build quality, and versatile camera setup, then the realme X3 is highly recommended. If not, check out the competitors in this price segment.

For us, this phone is a flagship killer, but by observation, it’s hard to make a flagship killer phone this year as we got expensive flagship soc with 5G capability currently competing in the market and this will cause a price increase on the device. The bright side, Realme made a cheaper but flagship phone feel.

Priced Rs 24,999 onwards, the Realme X3 makes for an excellent value for money in the midrange smartphone segment. Its display is the only thing that may pinch but that is a small flaw, considering the phone’s affordable pricing and overall package. Consider this one for its imaging, performance and ease of use.

The Realme X3 starts at ₹24,999 in India for 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, while in Europe, the Realme X3 SuperZoom is available for €499 packing 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. At this price point, there's a lot to like about the Realme X3 series including its solid performance, camera features, and attractive design. However, I can't help but feel that Realme's own X2 Pro, which is available for the same or slightly lower price, is a more attractive offering than the X3. You do miss out on the periscope zoom camera of the X3 SuperZoom, but otherwise, you get similar specs with a superior 90Hz Super AMOLED display, better primary camera performance, and stereo speakers. It also comes with a crazy 50W SuperVOOC flash charger that can charge the phone from 0-100% in just 35 minutes.

The Realme X3 SuperZoom is a good smartphone overall. Its major strength is the 5x periscope zoom camera and the dual front-facing cameras, which let you shoot portrait-mode videos. If the periscope zoom is something that you desire, then the X3 SuperZoom is the only offering in this price segment.

Like John mentioned in the Unboxing of this device, the Realme X3 Super Zoom has a ton of potential as a flagship alternative. It crosses out a lot of things you would expect from a phone of that caliber with a good looking chassis, great hardware, and an impressive set of features.

Coming in at of PHP 24,990 for the 12GB+256GB configuration, the Realme X3 SuperZoom is packed with top-notch, flagship features and is a good value for the price. An 8GB+128GB option does exist, but unfortunately, it will not be available in the Philippines. Hey, at least we’ve got the better variant, right? You can get one for yourself on official Realme stores and e-commerce websites such as Lazada and Shopee.

Realme X3 Super Zoom comes with a price tag of Rs 27,999 (base price). The price goes high up to Rs 32,999 for the 12GB RAM variant. Is it a good buy? With an impressive camera, large battery life and smooth performance, the smartphone have just the right amount of everything that one needs from a smartphone these days. Its closest competitors will be OnePlus 7T and the company’s own Realme X2 Pro.

This is our review of the newest flagship/flagship killer from Realme. This is the Realme X3 Superzoom. It has eye-catching specs 120Hz, periscope lens that shoots up to 60x hybrid zoom, last year's flagship soc, fast charging, and amazing camera features. The Realme X3 Superzoom is now available in the Philippines for P24,990.

The Realme X3 SuperZoom has everything premium under its belt including a 64MP quad-camera module with a periscopic telephoto sensor, 120Hz refresh rates, durable battery, and a good processor. And to check the price in the affordable flagship ballpark, it sensibly uses Snapdragon 855+ SoC, which effectively blurs the performance parameters with the latest Snapdragon 865 SoC.

It has got a zoom in its name. And it lives up to it. The Realme X3 SuperZoom adds a new dimension to the budget flagship battle by bringing in a camera that lets you snap the moon, if not the stars (not always, anyways).

Like the classic football analogy, the Realme X3 Super Zoom is a phone of two halves. There’s a lot of eye-popping features here like the 120Hz display, periscope lens and 30w charging – all of which you’ll rarely find at this price. But with real world use some things just don’t fall into place. The lack of 5G will annoy some, the camera needs to focus on what it wants to do best rather than try to do everything and the design doesn’t quite match the price-tag.

If you've made it this far, you probably know by now that the Realme X3 SuperZoom is indeed a good all-rounder. The base variant is priced at Rs. 27,999 for 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while the second variant costs Rs. 32,999 for 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Both variants of the phone offer immense value considering all the features they pack in.

The Realme X3 SuperZoom has great potential to be an excellent flagship alternative when it’s officially launched in the Philippines, though the price will still be a factor here. While Realme hasn’t officially announced pricing for the phone, it retails for around INR 27,999 (around Php 18K) for the 8GB/128GB variant and INR 32,999 (Php 21.7K) for the top-tier 12GB/256GB variant. Take note though that this is Indian pricing for the phone – local pricing will be a little higher thanks to how our taxes work, so don’t be surprised if the phone is a tad more expensive here than India.

I hear many people buy last year’s flagships and there is a good reason to do this– to save a lot of money and yet you still get a decent phone. This phone is basically that — last year’s premium flagship. Is it the best mid-range device around? Unlikely but it is certainly a contender.

All in all, the Realme X3 is a reasonably well rounded package - at first glance, but also accounting for our experience with its close relative, the X3 SuperZoom. Both X3s make a whole lot more sense at their asking price in India than what Realme charges for the SuperZoom in Europe. Even so, we can't help but think that better value can be had on other models in the company's lineup.

This might be one of the best bang-for-your-buck phones we've seen. There's fast-charging, a long-lasting battery, a great display, and powerful internals. We're not keen on the side-mounted fingerprint sensor, but the plastic frame hasn't bothered us, nor has the absence of 5G. However, the camera results are inconsistent, which feels at odds with that being the phone's big sell.

Well, the Realme X3 SuperZoom is precisely that kind of a niche product. You need to value the 5x periscope zoom above everything else to be able to see past the phone's shortcomings and also turn a blind eye to how the others are better.

Provided you can handle the sizeable Realme X3 SuperZoom, this phone strikes a favourable price/performance balance that focuses on camera capabilities above all else. Factor in the high-refresh-rate display, speedy 30W fast charging and decent high-end performance, and it's sub-£500 price tag looks rather enticing.
