XMG P505算不算好可能取决于你认为机身薄不薄有多重要。如果你经常需要出门，而并不追求最高的性能，那么P651SE准系统是个不错的选择。这款游戏本尽在部分方面落后于其他的竞争对手（请参考电池续航时间），不过它的高质量金属机身也有不少优势，例如低重量（仅2.6千克）或者是时尚的设计。这家准系统制造商同样在输入设备和连接性上也做得很好。

不过你可能会质疑QFHD屏幕的优劣所在。是的，这块型号为LQ156D1JX01B的锐利屏幕面板的显示质量相当出色（丰富的色彩，宽广的可视角度，高对比度，等等），不过1920x1080像素可能依然是现在更好的选择。不论是显卡的性能还是操作系统都无法完美地运行于4K分辨率之下。如果你想要在全高清分辨率下玩游戏的话情况就会好得多。Nvidia的GeForce 900系列设计十分优秀。我们之前并没有期待GTX 970M可以超过GTX 880M的表现。不过你需要一个足够有效的散热方案来让这颗最新芯片保持生机。除了系统噪音，系统温度也相当高——至少是在运行游戏的时候。

基本上它的可维护性可以说相当不错，只受到了螺丝固定的电池和集成于主板上的处理器和显卡的影响。这意味着，如果这些部件出了问题，你需要更换整个主板才能让系统重新运行，这有些不太环保。同时，这款笔记本的另外一个问题是它没有配备一个足够强大的电源适配器：150W的功率对于这台测试机并不够。不过，XMG P505依然是一款非常优秀的设备；至今还没有其他的轻薄游戏本获得85%以上的评分。
