European pricing for Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro surfaces online before October launch

The Tech Outlook claims to have received official European pricing for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, Google's next-generation smartphones. For reference, the website claims that these prices include 23% VAT, which restricts the country in question to Ireland, Poland or Portugal. Thus, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are likely to cost less in other Eurozone countries, with the EU average currently sat at 21%.

Reportedly, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will share two launch colours, described by The Tech Outlook as Mint and Obsidian. Additionally, Google is expected to offer Hazel and Rose as Pixel 8 exclusive colours, with Bay and Porcelain headed to the Pixel 8 Pro. According to The Tech Outlook, Google has priced the Pixel 8 series as follows, excluding VAT:

• Pixel 8 - 128 GB (€710.77)
• Pixel 8 - 256 GB (€771.79)
• Pixel 8 Pro - 128 GB (€1,004.65)
• Pixel 8 Pro - 256 GB (€1,065)
• Pixel 8 Pro - 512 GB (€1,188)

Google has tacitly confirmed that the Pixel 8 series will debut during its next hardware launch event, which it has scheduled for October 4. Another participant is likely to be the Pixel Watch 2, a familiar-looking replacement for the Pixel Watch. However, Google is rumoured to have equipped its next-generation smartwatch with a Snapdragon W5 Gen 1-derived chipset that should bring performance and battery life improvements to the Pixel Watch platform, among other refinements.
