Cons
GS73VR正是GS Stealth系列所需的重要更新。GS70自从2013年推出以来得到的小更新一直没能解决它存在的主要问题,GS73VR体型更薄,品质更佳,更冷静,更加强劲的同时升温区域也控制得较小。Pascal架构芯片继续在各个方面让人瞠目结舌,GTX 1060提供了略微超过GTX 980M的性能,而能够装入Maxwell架构旗舰机型(如微星GT72S,华硕G752VY,外星人17和Acer Predator 17)数分之一的机身中。
对这个系列来说性能当然不是问题,最大的问题曾是高频风扇噪音和较短的电池续航。现在它确实更安静了,不过相比噪音极大的GS70改进很小,同时电池续航也没有太大进步。其他的一些小问题还包括机身前面较为拥挤的接口,一些难以接触到的内部组件包括M.2固态硬盘和内存槽。打开底盖就会破坏质保的规定让人感觉十分遗憾,用户甚至无法自行更换第二块硬盘。缓慢的SDXC读卡器也是一个让人烦躁的问题,相比GT72VR的读卡器它慢了好几倍之多。如果能够搭配几个可定义按键、支持4K和G-Sync的话,将会让它成为能够给用户更加“完整”的游戏体验的设备。
搭配Pascal架构显卡和可选的120赫兹/5毫秒屏幕将会是这个系列的两个里程碑性跨越。正在参考更笨重的Maxwell显卡笔记本的用户应该把GS73系列也纳入参考范围,不需牺牲性能就可以获得更纤薄轻盈的机身。它的风扇噪音和有限的维护升级空间仍然是相比更佳沉重的大型笔记本电脑的最大两个劣势。
