案例 - 更加清晰和短小
G7的拥有者不会因为跳过G8而错过什么,除了所有的内部性能更新,因为它们都共享相同的底盘。老款EliteBook 800笔记本电脑传统上比价格较高的EliteBook 1000机型更圆、更厚,如 EliteBook 1030或 1040但840 G7/G8的设计使800系列从视觉角度上更接近1000系列。
机箱质量很好,只是在键盘中心或底座或盖子的角落有轻微的弯曲。外盖中心可能是最容易出现弯曲的地方,这在大多数笔记本电脑上是很常见的。这 戴尔Latitude 9420比我们的惠普更坚固,尽管是以额外的重量为代价。

网络摄像头
安全问题
惠普包括一套Windows内外的安全功能,这是EliteBook系列和Spectre系列的一个关键区别因素。物理网络摄像头快门、DriveLock、安全擦除、TPM 2.0、可选的Scart Card、Sure Click和BIOSphere只是其中几个例子。
维护
底部面板只需要一把飞利浦螺丝刀就可以打开,庆幸的是橡胶脚下没有藏着螺丝。机主可以接触到M.2 2280存储槽、M.2 WLAN模块和两个SODIMM托架。
配件和保修
除了文件和USB-C交流适配器外,零售盒中没有任何额外的东西。然而,有很多惠普品牌的配件,包括USB-C对接站、适配器和套筒可用。
一年有限的制造商保修是标准的,而更昂贵的EliteBook 1000系列则是三年。
输入设备 - 完全没有弹性
键盘
惠普Spectre和EliteBook键盘是我们最喜欢的一些键盘,因为它们比其他商务笔记本更好地平衡了反馈、行程和咔哒声。特别是反馈更加清晰,避免了轻薄型设计中常见的海绵感。
两级单区白色背光灯是标准配置。
触摸板
惠普保留了老款EliteBook 840 G5的点击板面积为11 x 6厘米。这比微星Summit E14上的点击板要小一些。 MSI Summit E14(10.5 x 6.5 cm),但惠普实际上配备了专用的鼠标按钮,以获得更可靠的多点触摸输入。滑动非常顺畅,即使在慢速时也很少粘连,而鼠标按钮和点击板都很牢固,按下时有响亮的咔哒声。
显示器--16:9正在变得陈旧
HWiNFO只能识别出AU Optronics AUO068B控制器,但不能识别出面板的具体型号。尽管如此,我们的测量结果显示,在大多数方面都有出色的表现,包括高对比度、广泛的色彩覆盖和明亮的400尼特显示,以证实惠普声称的400尼特面板。
该显示器的主要缺点是其黑白和灰度响应时间慢,特别是在运行游戏时有明显的重影。也没有4K或OLED选项,而一些商务笔记本如 ThinkPad X13或戴尔Latitude 9420已经转向更理想的16:10长宽比。

处理器
原始多线程性能比平均水平低约15%。 酷睿i7-1185G7在我们的数据库中的笔记本电脑。与微星Summit E14这样配备完全相同的处理器的产品相比,涡轮增压性能也不像预期的那样可靠。我们怀疑惠普坚持更安静的风扇噪音阻碍了处理器在更高的时钟速率下运行更长时间。

系统噪音 - 最高时为30分贝(A)
惠普将风扇噪音作为重中之重。即使在高性能电源配置文件上运行Prime95等极端负载时,风扇噪音也会在30dB(A)以下,成为我们评测过的最安静的14英寸笔记本电脑之一。运行同样的测试,在 Vaio Z或 ThinkPad T14s G2上进行同样的测试,会导致更响亮的风扇噪音,如下表所示。
尽管噪音很低,但惠普的风扇很少会空转,以获得完全无声的体验。在浏览或网上冲浪时,在24.1 dB(A)的无声背景下,预计会有大约27至28 dB(A)的勉强可见的风扇噪音。
