Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

HTC U Play的外观雅致,支持个人助理,搭配两个高分辨率相机,附赠众多配件。那么,为什么我们仍然无法衷心向用户推荐这台设备呢?一方面,这款HTC机型无法于众多功能更全面的同价位设备竞争。尽管它的相机分辨率均较高,但是在锐度和UltraPixel模式中的锯齿边缘等方面都不尽如人意。个人助理当然是个受欢迎的额外功能,但是在谷歌Play Store中也能找到很多类似的应用。自适应耳机效果出色也十分创新,不过因此失去3.5毫米耳机接口仍然对于很多用户是个不小的问题。

很遗憾,它的扬声器效果弱于来自HTC的其他设备;它的麦克风品质也只能算是一般。HTC U Play无法得到我们的推荐也是由于它在性能上低于同价位机型。另外一个问题是,它的电池续航也低于平均水平。

HTC带来了一台设计时尚,相对不错的中端设备,为它搭配了优秀的前置相机、软件功能、优秀的屏幕和许多配件。遗憾的是,在如音效、性能和电池续航等其他方面,它都低于我们预期的水平。

最终,HTC U Play只是一款不错的中端智能手机,它的竞争对手提供了更高的价值。正在寻找一台支持个人助理、搭配高分辨率前置相机的高科技设备的用户可以得到一台十分时尚的智能手机。但是,他们需要同时接受平庸的电池续航时间和较低的性能。
